Just a quick selection tip - if you drag the bounding box from the left to the right it'll only select the edges/faces/items that are completely within the bounding box, which will save you from having to deselect so much stuff before performing the function you want. Dragging from right to left will select everything the bounding box touches, but for fine selections, going from left to right is a big help!
Edit: also, peeps should try out the Select Adjacent function and make note of its shortcut, cos it really speeds up selecting tiny chamfered areas, cos you can just pick the large face that's attached to them all, then run the function.

This is an awesome tip, I could never figure out why it worked like that some times and not others! Thank you!

I’ve encountered that weird ‘fracturing’ effect before (at least in cases where patching wouldn’t outright refuse to work), and in the instances where i did, it took me a while to figure out how to fix it. With the next version coming out tomorrow, I’ll definitely be going for the studio release.
