- In this video I try beating Terraria with guns only but here's the twist... I installed a mod that allows my weapons to gain experience for hitting enemies. With each level increases the damage, critical strike chance, size, and best of all the number of projectiles. Just how strong will my guns become at the end of this? Stay tuned to find out!

i already did a run like that with copper shortsword and i destroyed supreme calamatis but you still do have to have a little skill with dodging because of her invincibility@@LiterallyAnExistingPerson1

Once again commenting to dispel this myth. You can only shimmer the pharaoh mask, not the robes, so it's the same. Please stop commenting this.
That is true, but finding the shimmer is a bit of a hassle for something that becomes useless after killing the Wall of Flesh.
Although the shimmer would be useful for other purposes.

For anyone that is womdering why the boom stick fires so many projectiles, the 'extra bullets/arrows' stat aplies individualy to each projectile fired instead of one item use

He should totally redo most of these upgrade kind of videos but with calamity as well, even if they take a little longer.
Id love to see use the unique enchanted sword or the shadow flame knife with this mod and only that. Also, is it just me that would like to see actual like, weapon level grinding?

Imagine an accessory run, would be fun but hard, you would start with a shield of Cthulhu though so you can do damage, I've used that mod and you can upgrade accessories and armor in it, just check the settings
So satisfying... but what would make it even better would be increased spawns. Melting hoards of invasions would be fantastic.

Should do an armor related upgraded video- for every level up you take, your armor increases in defense and can even sometimes receive set bonuses
this mod technically does increase the defence you have, by getting damaged your armor and accessories gains exp and gains defence stat increase for levels

Before deleting skeletron, you should’ve tested the minishark on the dungeon guardian while jumping on it with the slimy saddle to get an extreme amount of levels

It would be really funny if you got the Luiafk mod and fought a max spawn rate Pumpkin moon or Frostmoon to see how much you can speed level up.
Also Frost Armor at the start of hardmode is better than titanium armor btw. More dmg%, more defense, and frostburn on attacks.

Would be good if you had the time set to actually run at game time during the mechanical boss fights but still good
The reason the vortex beater was getting so big is that it's classified as a projectile because of how the weapon is different from others because of the homing projectile it occasionally shoots. I'm pretty sure this is also the case with the celebration mk2.
From a dev standpoint, the bonus projectile it shoots shouldn't have any relation with the weapon sprite in the player hand being a projectile
If it were the case, weapons like the onyx blaster would be effected too
It might be a way to deal with the weapon sprite being animated in the players hand though, but I can't tell for sure

there are four ranged weapons that act like this. the phantom phoenix, phantasm, vortex beater, and celebration mark ii. they're animated which is why they use projectiles instead of sprites (except for the phantom phoenix fsr). this also means if you get close enough to an enemy the sprite itself deals damage! (true melee when false ranger walks in rotfl) as far as i know, it's most likely not the fact that the vortex beater shoots another projectile that causes it to have a projectile instead of a sprite.
@@reaperdragon777 the sprite being a projectile would be unrelated to the weapon dealing "contact damage" though, knowing the source material, I wouldn't be surprised if the held weapon simply inherited the projectile damage lol
@@VerveineYT it's just cuz the sprite projectile has a hitbox. it does inherit the projectile damage, i think?

Do a full playthrough of cataclysm and thorium with these weapon mods

if you did this same mod again until the end but did every boss and every event you would be able to see how much damage you could really do
now mastermode and calamity deathmode plus fargos souls mod(+all additional stuff that there is for it) at max difficulty

I did this challenge but with only the revolver. It was level 268 at the end. It did 428 base and 100% crit, firing enough rounds to lag my pc

Not often you manage to actually lag your game out from simply firing the weapon. I think it was only the book weapons that managed to do that before?

I haven't finished the vid, but he should use the sniper. It would be hard to get the xp, but it would eventually become by far the most op. Especially with chlorphite bullets. Imagine shoting Luke ten shots at the speed of a chain gun, and each one does 400 damage.
Now here comes a plot twist using THIS mod with the calamity mod. I wanna see Yarin get fuckin melted!!😂😂

ik it might take away from the challenge but to see the further reaches of like lvl 50 plus you should add a mod that makes boss spawns not consumable just for connivence sake

do calamity terraria revengance mode but when guns do dmg they level up and every gun u have in your inventory shoots at the same time
based on that last bit where his game lagged super hard.. I'm not sure it could handle all those guns firing at the same time.
