    Welcome back how are you beautiful people how are you all on this glorious day ? Looking back it's been three years and I think I've only done 3 or 4 melts of slag which I certainly did not realise it was that far between so why not clear a bit of stuff off the shelves melt it down and add it to the stack. Some pretty ugly bars but always a welcome addition at all times. So sit back relax and enjoy today's video and I hope you have a great weekend and with any luck you will tune in again next Friday👊🏻😁.

    • @196Stefan2
      @196Stefan2 Год назад +5

      It's mostly Zinc Oxyde (white when cold, yellow when hot). Zinc starts burning on air, when heated far beyond it's melting point of ca. 440 °C. It also has a relatively low boiling temperature. Some escapes as fine dust, but the major part remains floating on the molten metal. The grey colour of the slag comes from Copper Oxyde, which is black.

    In a past video you mentioned needing to capture roof runoff, have you considered recycling a gently used IBC tote. They come with a nice metal cage and a valve shutoff. Speaking of cages, perhaps it’s time to fashion cages around your fruit trees to protect them from the parrots and other predators.
    Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings. Peace brother.

Tie a bunch of plates in pairs with short ropes and place them in the tree so they hit each other in the wind and makes noise. Not sure if it would work for Australian birds, but I've seen it done in cherry trees around here.
