  • Today I melt down a heap of metal detected metals me and my friend found and collected over the years. I make an awesome mirrored bar and an Egyptian Plaque to add to the stack. A fun melt today so sit back enjoy and I hope to see all you beautiful people next Friday😁.
Now Guys if you Feel like supporting the channel it wont cost you a cent as you can Simply just donate some of your time. By just by allowing the ads to play through this will help out a lot and that’s how I make a bit extra revenue and the good thing is more revenue means more giveaways and more treats for the dogs👊🏻😄. A better way to support the channel is play one of my playlists on your computer before you walk away from it and let it play through that really helps as well but don’t ever feel as though you need to watch the ads if you don’t want to simply skip them and move into the video it’s completely up to you and I understand if you don’t have the time to do so👌🏻😁👍🏻.

HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Hey there all you beautiful people how are you all on this lovely day? Now today I show what can be made from scrap crap that was metal detectored and dug out of the dirt and with just a bit of time and effort (and a furnace) you can make some real treasure. It's crazy to think this would've been in the dirt forever if me and my friend hadn't of come along but now it sits proudly up on my shelf for everyone to enjoy. A nice mirrored bar & a little Egyptian plaque for the stack today so sit back take a load off and enjoy today's video. Have an awesome safe weekend and I hope to see you all next Friday😃👋🏻

May I recommend when you make your molds and create the pour holes, carve a small funnel shape around them with a knife or trowel to make it easier to pour your metal into? 22:53 is a great demonstration of how plate tectonics works.
Convection drives the crust on the surface, constantly creating new crust as well as subducting it back in the mix in other areas. The places it piles up against the edge of the crucible is how mountains are formed. Where the plates collide.

Got quite a chuckle when you showed the artifact at the 3;18 minute mark. I've seen a number of these before here in Canada. They were made from old gas light fittings and were used as a 'special purpose' pipe. Its a coincidence I'm sure, but it is also 38 C here in Canada, minus 38 C that is. Been watching your vid's for a few months now, enjoy them, and have learned a lot.

Have you ever tried sifting the sand over the piece you are casting to get finer details? Just enough to get it in the smaller places, then you finish filling it like you normally would. It's something I learned in a shop class when I was in Junior High School.

I just started watching this today and as you are turning on fans, I'm turning on heaters. Day started at 26 degrees (-3 C) and is down to 14 F (-10 C) and we supposed to go down to -8 F (-22 C). That furnace melting metals would feel so good right now.
