I’ve got a similar truck. I did a 408 stroker with AFR heads and a 233/239 cam. It’s got a ported TBSS intake. I’ve got the 4/6 drop on it with some Tx edition 20s. I’m waiting on my RPM trans and already have a yank 3600 stall. It makes a fun daily driver! I used to watch your vids when mine was stock to stay motivated!
I guess some people are just lucky with transmissions. I have a completely stock 4L80E in my truck. It hasn't per se` had a metric fuckton of power thrown at it. But I have been known to work it like a 3/4 or 1 ton truck instead of a lowered 1/2 ton. It still shifts great and runs cool. Hoping it can hang on until I can afford to buy a "built" unit.
@@SiskBuilt Funny thing about that... your 2013 had a level V RPM 65E in it, it took a dump. They pretty much told my friend Chris to pound sand. That led to the truck being traded in. It seems like a 50/50 shot with any brand or even a used unit.

@@SiskBuilt Yeah, it arrived at the dealership on a flat bed. Crazy thing, it had low miles on the transmission and broke AFTER we demodded it.
Someone really needs to make a 10 speed controller that works with these older gen 3 motors, 10 speed 5.3 that spins 7000rpms+ would go crazy
I know for a fact my truck would be so much faster with that! I’m sure if someone does make it, it would probably be super expensive
@@SiskBuilt zero gravity performance has a controller for the 8 speed, I'm not sure what else I'd need to swap it into my truck though
How hot does your 4l80e get, cruising and doing pulls?
Pulls 160/170. On the highway. 140/150!
