How were the transmission temps the rest of the trip? Chris and I added a transmission cooler when he owned the truck. It's decent sized IIRC. Was hoping you would get to do some 1/4 mile action and see how much the wheel & tire setup helped.
@@SiskBuilt That's what I wanted him to get from the start. That other cooler was a bar and plate style. They're not as efficient. The trucool 40Ks are like Frank's red hot, I put that shit on everything.
@@SiskBuilt I'm seeing 140-145 on my truck, it went up about 20 degrees since I've installed the stall converter. I'm still not concerned about 140-145 though. I have what I call a trucool 80k going on my 2500HD - it's literally double the size of a 40k.
You have the 6l80e correct? I remember hearing one time from a tech. Saying that people burn up their 4l60's because they would tie with it and not click the tow mode button. It keeps the transmission from going into over drive. Towing while in over drive I guess is really bad for those 4l60 transmissions. Just thought I'd share it with ya. I've seen a couple of your videos, really good content 👍🏼
I like your truck
Thank you!
You’re welcome

I had to swap it out for the Trukool 40k and it kept it about 140 going up hill!

@@bluecollarhotrods9781 it used to get around 190-200 on the highway and even towing it was around 150’s at the hottest

Why didn't you push the tow mode button on your gear selector?
Doesn’t really do anything anymore, even if you click it it won’t downshift or anything
