this video was recommended to me after I watch NOC latest video, this house is literally an art museum
same, haha
is that you deekosh?
Nope! hehe :)
@DEE What happened to NOC now they have no videos on their channel ?
Known Edward in School of Architecture. He is indeed meticulous and a hardworking perfectionist. And it shows in the work. If you dont like this house, thats your opinion and that is fine....he designed it to please his wife, not everyone else. She loves it and that is enough. Kudos.... and please ignore all the salty comments on his hairstyle...
smh this got recommended to me after a few hours later of watching ryan and aiken tour this house
SAME
Gorgeous home full of character. It really captures both of their personalities wonderfully. Wishing them happiness always :)
Wait, this on Ryan Slyvia Channel too
I imagine having a house like this and have a great time by inviting friends over
It's true that you can see the love he has for his wife through the house. So sweet!
Wow! What a house! Like living in a museum :) He must be paid very well for his work.
New York friend comes to SG to visit:
why I feel like I'm in a museum
just back home! 😉💫
I love the design. Very minimalist, modern and contemporary feel.
Love the place. It has the look and warmth of a ransacked tomb.
Don't get the hate on the hairstyle?? The whole point of this video is the amazing house he's designed for his wife. You guys can't find much to hate so you guys choose to hate on the hair
Hahahaha......First World Country with Third World Attitude. That's a norm in Singapore liao. Just need to ignore those lame ones.......
didn't hate the hair, but certainly this guy can get a better hairdo! Just feel that both the architect and the tatler director have striking and unusual sense of style that stands out a lot but doesn't look good. Felt the love for his wife though.. it's pretty sweet!
You are just a fifty cents.. your job is just to sing praise and go against dissent
i think his haircut is very cute excuse you
It must be nice to work as a helper in that house. It will not bore you. There are so many things to look at.
Quite good idea to use black and greys for easier maintenance in the future. So many homeowners these days like to use white colored surfaces without thinking about future implications
Really...wow...wish I could have a home like that....
Martin Santoso bad taste
While I personally don’t quite like the darker tonality & color scheme of Mr. Ng’s house which is a bit too “boxed in” in my personal opinion, I do think overall it is a brilliant design architecturally & interiorly. Mr. & Mrs. Ng love it which is most important. And how loving it is that Mr. Ng expresses his love for Mrs. Ng through the art pieces and the design of the house. (My earlier comment is only from a viewer’s view point. I truly don’t mean to criticize the design.) it is also so nice they are so hospitable to their family and friends hosting the huge dinner gatherings to celebrate with family & friends.
He's cutting out the view of ugly neighbour's houses. I'm very sure of that.
There is a difference between an architect and an interior designer..? Or am I wrong, idk. Sorry.
Love the all black theme I did the same with my place it kinds of keeps my mind focused and calm also gives a posh feeling at the same time
Saw this from Ryan Sylvia channel recently.
Same here
Beautiful house. I think he is genius
Beautiful house. Uncle Lim like.
Well done Edmund.
Common man like myself wont be able to appreciate his art and his wonderful commitment to build this love mansion. I don''t see a tv in the living room...gosh am i wrong here.
Maybe they have no use for TV news/programmes because they have other/better things to do.
Tv’s are quite jarring to me personally
Beautiful, I love it so much ! Thanks for sharing !
Amazing place !
What a rare creative genuis in Sg.
This guy is Victor from Despicable Me
Anyone here from NOC?
ME
Oh my imaginary dream house is like a combination of Moroccan hotel and those house built near dense jungle. A Pinterest like.
Nice house! Most importantly a nice home with love & harmony
Human life is short; we are here for 80 years and then we die; Better plan for a home in heaven where you live for ever and ever and ever
his house, remember me TADAO ANDO
His hair style too
LOL.....rarely see guys button up their collars, and that lady also did the same, what a perfect match. I thought they are couples.
Medieval vibe hahaha first thing you say you slap the architect on the face!
not one thing about this place is medieval.
If u notice, he didn’t reply to that comment. Lol
Who's here after NOC tour of the house ?
Amazing.
Who came here after NOC’s latest video?
i like the interior of the house. it doesn't look at all cramped despite it not being a bungalow or even semi D. neat! the exterior on the other hand I feel stands out too much; compare his house with his neighbours and idt it fits in too well.
x prettycarats I don’t think the point is to fit in...
Maintenance & cleaning will be nightmares
The unnecessary comments on Edmund's hairstyle really shows how low-class the social conscious of Singaporeans are. And really ....no one want to even comment on how his block design follows a bit of a Scandinavian touch ?
lol.. I don't feel that it's offensive to get comments on one's hair. If nobody said anything, then the hairdo is a failure. Why is something like one's appearance being commented low class? it's part and parcel of life to be judged everyday on appearance. We have to face it all the time. Get out from your high horse and see the ordinary world as it is. Don't be an educated "high class" snob!
If Dracula had a modern house it would look like this. I mean it in a good way.
You can also mean it in a bad way,
I wld love to come back to a HOME, not an art MUSEUM tats cold n dark
IS this house feature in mediacorp drama: 谢谢你出现在我的行程里 Walk With Me ?
Sunset Station was supposed to grow with me.
Did it?
Did Mr Bean cut his hair?
Cuboid, concrete bunker homes like these have become generic and pervasive, in countries including Australia where a certain class of hipster owner expresses a preference for minimalist shoebox-style design as a nod to modernity. Such a choice is ironic in view of the house's lack of external differentiation from functional high-rise public housing. The design seems to emulate Tadao Ando's brutalist style which, unfortunately has not withered from the collective memory of some architects, and these days seems out of place and anachronistic for environmental reasons. This house's severe visual impact on its surroundings ( similar to that of a multilevel car park mitigated only by green vegetation) and its high energy construction methods incorporating tons of concrete and steel seem to ignore green criteria, particularly when the sizeable edifice only accommodates a tiny number of select residents. Significantly, the video shows very little of the building's bland exterior and focuses on the predominantly concrete interior which in any other context would be deemed unfinished. While it seems an exaggeration to describe this design as "visionary and timeless" the description is explicable in terms of Singapore's gravity-defying land prices and this house's relative spaciousness- rather than due to any distinguishing design features.
Just be bloody rich and you can do anything you like.
How do you nail into concrete? Lol
Hahaha!! Good one. Ya can't!
Singapore architectural companies can employ best architect talents of Turkey, from METU , ITU alumnis who know perfect english and best talents as Turkey do not need them and they starve to poverty. I have met them and got their problems with the country and payments to them about their wonderful architectural products.
Next level rich.
😍
A rather cold and mundane aesthetic to be honest but you like what you like I guess.
i wonder whether they do the cleaning of the house themselves.. if not it is just money talks.
they have housemaids
They have 1filipina, indonesian, sri lankan, bangladeshi maids
Japanese owe Vietnamese.
I have been an excellent cancas for them.
V.
After Dinero, come Abstract (Dryer. Said Samsung to the Envoirnment). Which means they knock out my trees planted.
First.
Sports Illustrated... would love a word.
It's nice not gonna hate but I think mexican homes are the best
Womans voice enters.
Me no say.
Omg
His house stucks!
he looks like bang pd lol
The house looked dark and scary looking..sorry
Sofia Roux not many windows .. claustrophobic
agreed. It is... i would say special at first look, but, maybe just me, i wouldnt like the dark feel. not enough natural light into the buildings. I prefer more natural light into my house.
That haircut should be punishable by law
Ryo Li. Ya and what u said should also be punishable by law:)
to each his own
@@ryantay867 Maybe with the fake news law, it will be XD
Why? It’s uncommon but definitely looks normal to me. How’s your hair? If u still have lah...
LOL..................
Don't know if it will put a smile on your viewers who see it. Wonder how often guest would dine in the house...the extremely long table maybe then be for show piece as well as the kitchenware oven and cooker etcs...they look practically untouched. I think no one would like to live in a museum home... That's my frank opinion, sorry, but if she is happy and you are happy I salute you both.
I dont like the design. It looks boring except dining room. Sorry
COREANA Beauty House same goes with me. The design is meh and boring dining set room. *sorry*
How is that not a portrait of Cristiano Ronaldo?
He looks like Jackie Chan
Nah.
This would cost me a bomb hahaha
There's another name for a house with no windows
Prison! 🤪
very cold
Stairs with holes is never good for girls with skirts
don’t really understand modern art
abu maawi no need to understand. It’s rubbish by design.
What is with rich people and art.
Twe Foju money, period. Why help the poor when you can buy pretentious shit.
Ugly art
Twe Foju that was not art but trash. Modernism is a sham.
Lol I thought the female dress specially to match him but it seems they're both weirdos.
Dunbar walk
Ranjau haircut.
no feel of love, and not that good design also.
Do not keep your treasure here on earth;
But his hairstyle so Ah Beng 😂😆😝
Nope.
Very dark and gloomy house
meh
not typical cina meh
abu maawi Ya you are typical melayu
Monolithic, hotel style, cold, block exterior. No thanks! (Not that I could ever afford it)
Singapore. Is PISSED!!!($(
Majority of Singaporeans cannot reach this level of material success. This is downright elitist and accentuates social class difference. I question mediacorp’s aim of this program. To make the rich feel that they have arrived and to make the less feel lesser? So those who can’t afford have to settle for a life that is unremarkable.?
not so impressive..i feel like staying in a cave
The house is really ugly
Nice meh ? To me, it's rather ugly. Sorry for being blunt. Is dissent tolerated in SG ? Or must I only sing praise and be against my conscience?
Anyone here from NOC?
