Love this home. It's not overly muted nor is it ostentatious. It looks lived-in and practical. Not one thing I can criticize haha. Sooooo gorgeous this guy is a genius :)
This home is genius! just love the materials and the neutral palette, the windows and solar roof. Everything is so tastefully done, timeless, durable and functional. The only (only) thing I could think is missing is an elevator from a future proofing point of view ... the younger ones can always take the top floors...
An addition of a service lift to all floors would be the icing on the cake for this thoughtful, personal and calming designed house for generations to come
The styling of any space interests and attracts me most. Love every piece of furniture … esp in the living area. There isn’t a single piece I wouldn’t buy for myself. 😊😊😊
Hi, very cool implementation. My only question is on security, the glass panels on the ground floor(including others), do they hold tight together when not in use. And what is the duration of time they are subject to wear and tear? This was amazing! Thank you for sharing and expressing the idea behind each concept.
Beautifully designed home. I love those monsoon windows and the allowable air flow and the GORGEOUS patios My only question is the stairs for aging parents.....
hi, just wondering some technical questions. what kind of moonsoon window(which next the staircase)? those timber strips how to prevent rain come in and winds pass though? for ventilation purpose
4:50 monsoon windows: prevents rain but allows wind to pass through ... probably best feature of the house but overlooked here ... . SH maybe need a designer/architect on your editorial team .... .
It's a nice space, but the living room rug is way too small. I'm also not a fan of the mismatched chairs - it makes everything look a little too random. Would also replace the glass coffee table with a wood one.
I love all the plantings of local species. It would be great to revisit in a few years to see how they grow. Stacked homes, perhaps you could also do a garden/landscape channel?
It’s nice. Too bad your parents aren’t 35 anymore. Some spaces look like they’ve never been used, only maintained. You’ve designed a great house for yourself.
I’m really curious though. I keep reading in the news that architects, albeit of the younger generation, are relatively poorly paid in Singapore. And then there are these videos of architects showcasing their multi-million dollar homes. The disconnect is just too jarring. Honestly not being salty, but can someone enlighten me?
I think if you have your own architecture firm you can potentially make a lot of money. The long hours are the junior employees who are working for someone else. You can make a similar observation to the audit industry - the junior auditors work long hours and are poorly paid, whereas if you climb up the ranks and make partner, you can potentially make millions.
This guy's parents are obviously well-to-do. Look at the living room furniture they brought from their old place. Huge pieces that can only be housed in an equally huge space.
you are not salty. there is no disconnect there is no magic. he designed the house. the family paid the bills no young architect can afford to build with funds from their employment .
Sorry, but the space is lacking in charm and feels pedestrian, with some nice pieces of furniture which should shine but does not cuz they havent been grouped / positioned properly. I see so many spaces in the Philippines that look and feel just like this.
I am really sorry, that l cannot tune into the chorus of admiring this house. To me it misses character of the owner. Classic furniture yes, but the persons living there are interchangeable, there is no trace of a cosy, unique home. It’s rather soulless, like a hotel. Sorry again.
You cant make this house in malaysia. All it takes is a rock to break in to your house. We need security grill or you'll find some human shit inside your house. Possibly at the stairs

Thanks for the comments! The house does have a platform lift that serves all 3 floors. You can see it around 2:45
@@sharnesulaiman Wow it's so nicely done - I mistook that for a wine fridge :P
An addition of a service lift to all floors would be the icing on the cake for this thoughtful, personal and calming designed house for generations to come
I mean the house is nice, but the interior is gorgeous! So well put together - bravo! 👏👏
One of the best design I have seen 👍 Love the greenery, the unique design and the simplicity of the interior deco.
Glad you like it!
One of the best designed landed properties I have seen on this channel! ❤ a testament to the architect’s skill. 👍
lol cap
One of the best design I have seen so far, love the glass doors, the greenery that creates a beautiful tropical environment. 👍
Thanks for your kind words!
wise way to integrate old pieces of furniture into the new house. this is a good example of sustainability
Well said!
Wow....his furniture and decor taste is so god. Obviously, the overall material usage is excellent....but those pieces are BEAUTIFUL.
Thank you! 🙌🏻

hi, just wondering some technical questions. what kind of moonsoon window(which next the staircase)? those timber strips how to prevent rain come in and winds pass though? for ventilation purpose
i was searching for it too but cant find anything related in google. would love to know more about its mechanism.
This is my dream home
Beautiful 😍
"In case anybody gets old" is a funny way to put it.
😂
Love that huge pendant lamp ❤
One day this will be me, giving a tour!
🤩
Great bones, layout and thoughtful choice of furniture . I would only point out that the rug is way too small for the living room.
beautiful home
WOW!!
🤩
"In case anybody gets old"😂😂
😂
Really love the sky garden idea.
Us too!
这是在新加坡还是马来西亚?宽敞明亮有植物,简单。最喜欢空中花园😊。
OMG that's alot of staircases 🫣🫢🤭
😂
Where did you buy the chair next to your 2nd floor bed room?
what is the brand of the ceiling fan present in the living room please?
Thanks
Loved the house, can you please share the city and area name. I am loving the neighbourhood.
Thank you for watching!

This is what a tropical landed house should be. Standard developer builds don't take into account our tropical weather.
Thanks for your kind words!
Nice
Thanks!
Damn they saved alot on utilities bills.
Thanks for watching!
How much did this house cost?
It's a nice space, but the living room rug is way too small. I'm also not a fan of the mismatched chairs - it makes everything look a little too random. Would also replace the glass coffee table with a wood one.

very nice design but tough for old people to climb stairs
always curious about whether the hosue will be flooded with mosquitos with that much plants around? wont it be kind of irritating
just use mosquitos or bugs repellant. or put some anti mosquito plants in there, that should do.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Me encanta la casa. La entrada es hermosa. Me gustan los muebles. Las cristaleras y su forma de abrise no. Si fueran correderas mejor.
LOVE IT. the only things i dont see is a lift. parents age very soon...
Good point about accessibility. Adding a lift could indeed enhance the long-term comfort, especially for aging parents. Great observation! 😊
Good taste
Thank you!

PUT SOME PLANTS INSIDE
Does the car porch actually keep the owners dry ? Lokka too high
Hahah yes it does!
the house really beautiful, but furniture a little weird. The color palette looks little not cohesive
Thanks for sharing!
Your parents must be very rich having so big space in an expensive city like Singapore
La escalera es divertida y hermosa pero no es práctica , divertida y peligrosa.

you forgot about his parents

This is family rich own.... Not "earn" and own himself
you are not salty. there is no disconnect
there is no magic. he designed the house. the family paid the bills
no young architect can afford to build with funds from their employment
.
I know everyone loves this house, To me,
it is cold, uninviting,
Thanks for sharing!
👆Beautiful
Thank you 😍
That's it. time to get rich.
😂
Nice but not the best I have seen.
Sorry, but the space is lacking in charm and feels pedestrian, with some nice pieces of furniture which should shine but does not cuz they havent been grouped / positioned properly. I see so many spaces in the Philippines that look and feel just like this.

What is so-called classic furniture. None.
