International Orangutan Day 2022

This day was created to encourage the public to take action in protecting this amazing species in the wild and for conservation organisations to raise awareness of their plight.
Orangutans can now only be found in small, fragmented populations throughout the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra.
The main threats faced by orangutans are:
- Habitat Loss and Fragmentation
- Hunting
- Illegal Pet Trade
- Climate Change
