I have done a mistake in the last part, Please make sure to convert value of c from cms-1 to ms-1
How is the unit of gradient Hertz all my life i was taught gradient doesn’t have units
If the x and y axis have units then gradient must also have units,
let's say we have distance on y axis so unit is m and time on x axis so unit is s
So unit of gradient ∆y/∆x = m/s
= ms-1
And we know s = d/t
And unit is speed is ms-1 which proves we got correct unit through gradient.
Thanks for ur great help, but for the last qn the value u used for c is 3.18 x 10^4 which is in cms^-1 so u need to conert it to ms^-1 so its 318 ms^-1, hence final answer for h would be 1.83 m
Thanks for pointing it out!
In the last uncertainty for f. Its is (0.02/0.88)×1100= 24.44. so it would mean uncertainty is ±20. Why did u give ±30?
Please do the calculation again, its 25 which rounded to 1sf is 30
sir for the last part, you calculated using cm when the answer is needed in meters
yes but note that Both delta c and c are in cms-1 and we are dividing delta c by c, so the effect cancels out (units cancels out) so the answer would still be the same.
try converting units of both delta c and c to ms-1, you would still get the same answer, I hope this clarifies this.
If You are using speed in cms-1 than in last part your answer of h will be in cm you should divide it by 100 to get in meters
If I'd u cancel units so you will get answer in cm not m
@@rsxreaper6488 you can try using cms-1 and ms-1 both will give same answer as both deta c and c have same units so prefixes cancels out
Isn't the formula for percentage Uncertainty Δc/c × 100 = 6.5% in the last part
Sir, why did you write Δc = c × 6.5/100
@@manankhan3445 just rearrange the formula you have written to make delta c the subject, you will get the formula I wrote
So we leave the percentage value as it is
@O and A Level Tutor and divide 100, which comes from the other side of the equation
@@manankhan3445 yes 👍🏻
Bro this is the best explanation video ever. Keep it up brother.
Thanks alot for the comment, it means alot ❤️
Sir you are best!!❤
Big Fan Sir❤️🥀
You are the GOAT
Sir can you please do oct nov 2022 variant 51 too?
I was having issues in which units to use in q2 of variant 51.
DM me on instagram, I’ll help you with your doubts.

Sorry I didn’t get time to do more papers as I myself have my exam tomorrow of P5
Sir i was going to ask that when data of y axis was given in cm so should we convert it into meters when finding the gradient and in other following questions?
@@aliahmad-ns6fv yes we should, i have a solution to that paper but I can’t send you here, you will have to DM mein on instagram
@@OAT_AN ok
Why did we take c from gradient and not y intercept eqs?
You can also do that but that would be too long since you will have to find the y-intercepts first
