Drive Belt Removal and Replacement on Ford KA. This Video is to help you if you have a Ford KA and the drive belt (or fan belt as it used to be called on older cars) is worn and requires replacement. The alternator was replaced less than a week before but as the belt didn’t look worn it was NOT replaced at the time. The car developed a very annoying high pitch squeal while driving, or revving the engine at standstill. The temperature warning light had also come on briefly during one journey!. Confirmed the fault was probably the drive belt by spraying with water (tip) and the sound disappeared for a short while. The worn belt needs replacing, but this is something you can do (DIY) without too much hassle.
