I can list tens of drivers who has domitated every series before F1. Some of them did better career in f1 than others. World is full of these kind of stories. What was the year when Lewis won F3000? I cant remember. Ok, about Lewis vs Nico. Hamilton was better in karting, but Nico Rosberg beat him in F3, its part of motorsport, that some day you lose and some day you win.
Hamilton didn't get 1 more point than Alonso in 2007. They were even, but Lewis got second because it went all the way down to 5th place finishes and he had one more than Alonso.
I agree mallamoozoo. Senna was at a level most F1 drivers only pretend to know about. Schumacher was great, but throw Senna in a F1 car, and I'd have all my money on him.
Vela, don't bother trying to explain to the haters dude. They know the truth, they just don't want to accept it. Hamilton, Massa and Glock have all given the same story about the last lap, but these bigots don't wanna hear it!
Well said. Hamilton will be champion this year. Its good for the sport that someone from his kind of background is winning races in F1. He wasn't the richest as a kid but he was the best. He persevered through the tough times. Give him credit. Lewis Hamilton=Legend.
lewis is a great pilot. It´s the best in a very good generation of drivers like Alonso and Raikkonen. I don´t think schumacher had as good oponents as hamilton.
@kingofpop1569 Dude...Probably this is why Alonso fled from McLaren after just 1 yr as He probably expected Lewis to let him through like Massa did in Germany '10... Even Ron Dennis couldn't refrain from saying that "Alonso calculated everything but not that Hamilton could compete with him" in a recent chat alongside Bernie Ecclestone...
I used to race them....The class was known as Junior Intercontinental A aka J.I.C.A. they were 100cc engines with a centrifugal clutch......Larkhall was one of my favourite tracks....obviously behind nutts corner, the one and only!!!
Great video - thanks for posting it. Incredible wet weather driving by everyone in this video in some pretty awful conditions! I have a few Lewis Karting videos on my channel if you want to check them out.
Hauahuahuah... "Hero: Ayrton Senna"... Novidade... Hamilton manda bem demais... Humilde e bom vencedor... Torço pr´ele, por todos os aspectos...!!! Let´s go Lewis Fuckin´ Hamilton...!!!
For anyone that has said Lewis' success in F1 is pretty much all down to his car...did you just watch the above video?? Everyone was basically in the same cart and he destroyed the opposition starting in 3rd and racing in tricky conditions.
He's doing better and better, lap after lap. Prost had the same approach and won 51 GPs. Hamilton is a fan of Senna, so he's just to be inspired by Senna and Prost's talents and kick all the other's butt (well, Prost may smile if he reads that...).
Lewis Hamilton is using a helmet inspired by the great Ayrton Senna's helmet. Looks great, and its awsome to see the yellow helmet leading races again ! lol
Bruh his driving style is still the same...like I can recognise it's him. Smooth, clean and fast! I know he loves Senna but they have different driving styles.
You have good point. Schumacher metaphor was good, but I never said anything like that :) Every F1 driver is diamond. Have to be talented, hard working and lucky to ever drive that car. Villeneuve was good driver, actually very good and really professional. He is champion and I dont want to underestimate that, But was he sensational? My opinion is no. Same thing about Hamilton (so far). Margins between F1 guys are very small and really sensational drivers are very unusual.
Hamilton was not allowed to win title in 2007 because of spygate scandal. Mclaren were told by FIA they were not allowed to win championship as part of their fine. (wouldn't look good for the sport) Brazil, Hamilton's gearbox fails and then recovers (when last), Mclaren forget to change compound of tyre resulting in extra pitstop. Williams found with illegal fuel, yet no penalty. Mclaren waited to the last race to self destruct so that it was obvious to insiders in F1 they're not allowed to win
Everyone who works inside F1 including myself know's what happend in 2007 but for the good of the sport the truth should not be told. Mclaren accept what happend because the alternative was to be kicked out of the sport. Instead surrending the drivers championship and being disqualified from the constructors were much smaller punishments. No doubt my comments will be removed and maybe that will be a good thing, but the 2007 season was fixed and people shouldn't decieved the way they were.
Alonso is the best driver by far. Hamilton won the world including the wheels to deflation Alonso's car when he was at McLaren and the FIA (English) helping punishing Alonso in Hungary. There should have been punished and had clearly won the World Cup as well. It seems incredible that you lie so poor, deceiving yourselves thinking that hamilton is better than alonso. I like Hamilton but it is actually worse than alonso. See the mundial now ;)
My opinion that Ferrari are biosed comes due to the fact they where caught having a blatently illegal car in Australia (A movable floor panel, and movable rear wing panel). FIA where to strip points and fine, but Max stood it and said 'in the best interest of F1, issue a warning and allow time for a design change'. Some teams seem to get so much room to play outside the rules without being penalised.
xadir, your an imbocile haha I strongly doubt that Hamilton was as aware of the situation as you make out. Alonso had 2nd hand access to the information, no access was proven for Hamilton. Regardless, Alonso had all the information, and still get beaten by Hamilton who had no access to this information. If there was a great advantage in obtaining this information, Alonso would have shown it in his results.
The details are now that McLaren is inviting the FIA to inspect their cars for ANY evidence any technology from the stolen manuscripts are anywhere on their cars. The timelines of this whole thing are evident enough as they've been reported in just about all F1 news outlets. Of course it's serious to Ferrari, F1 is a high stakes sport. If you were spending $400 million per season you'd take something like this serious as well.
You mean all he had to do is change his tyres at China before they worn down to the thread. What the hell was that team thinking? Just imagine a rookie winning in his first year at F1... not even Schumacer/Senna could have boasted that. If he plays his cards right in getting a good car/team 'Mclaren bit too dodge on decisions 4 my liking', he would be unstoppable.
Hamilton had already shown a lot of promise before Ron Dennis got involved, and he was racing and winning karts before Ron Dennis was involved. What? You really think Ron Dennis would throw his McLaren team behind a driver that was no better then the rest of a KARTING field? (He would have had to have been a great driver for Ron to even consider backing him).
What about Alonso being proven to have contacted Coughlan and De La Rosa regarding the information? Hamilton was clean (Investigations concluded there was no evidence he personaly gained from the information). So if Alonso had info, Hamilton had none - Alonso SHOULD have been quicker. Hamilton was Quicker!
His father worked 2 or 3 jobs for the early years, but I think when Lewis was in his teens his father established a software company or something like that. So it was later on that the Hamiltons became wealthy. I don't know all the details, as you can tell. Try Wikipedia maybe? There might be some info there.
I will say it again. Senna IS faster than Schumacher!!! Monaco 88, senna qualifyed 2 seconds quicker than 2nd place, his team mate Prost. 2 seconds cough cough. Senna was the quickest driver ever, maybe not the most complete or perfect driver. But for speed, he was a living god for what he could get out of a car.
Nice viewing. I can't understand all these obviously Spanish commentators that can't accept that LH is a whole heap better than Alonso. Alonso should realise that he is dealing with a phenomenon. Some of these comentators should be ground underfoot like cigarette butts! Puto to the lot of them!!!!
Dont be so sure. It will be huge battle between Brawn, Toyota and Red Bull. I think Brawn car is best at the moment, but can they improve as fast as Red Bull? I don`t know, but Red Bul has very good car considering that they dont have diffuser or kers...
god, it must be painful for all the Hamilton-haters. If only he'd come along a few years earlier. He's lacking the charisma of so many other drivers but hey, that didn't stop Schumacher. F1 would be an awful lot duller if he wasn't racing.
So far 'Pound 4 Pound' Lewis Hamilton has used (all) of them up. 2and... in his rookie year. Raikonnen was given the title by LH mistakes, Raikonen knows this. And what about kovalinen who is supposed to be really good, where is he this season?
k3eno, Sheader was about 4 years older, and more experianced at that level. Not to mention Hamilton was far better skilled, and I strongly doubt Sheader would have made F1. He was still karting at 16! Hamilton was well beyond that level by then.
Go on Lewis Hamilton my son, new Formula One world champion 2008 and also youngest ever. Did you see the look on that Spanish wanker Fernando Alonso's face. When he realised that Hamilton was champion not Massa....Priceless lol!
Not a lot you can say about that.Sublime skill,in those conditions,Alonso had better start praying because when this kid finds his feet in F1 Alonso will not have a cat in hells chance of beating him
Bit harsh mate. Look at the conditions, keeping your kart on the track and competitive is a skill in itself. And remember he had to take 1st place before the other guy went off.
It was the FIA president Max Wosley, who clearly pointed out that thanks to Alonso, Ron Dennis was forced to hand in the evidence he had which led to the punishment. The British media decided not to give any emphasis on this and blame the Alonso e-mail instead!
@WhoLueYou If u ever watched F1, you would know That's only because He had a gear-shift issue in 2007...As for 08, He was impeded by Kubica and thus Vettel overtook him...
start by finding a track and then getting a kart together... anyone can get into karting, you don't have to be young, but it helps since as an adult you'd be twice as heavy-
Jacques Villeneuve, David Coulthard, Jim Clark, Michael Schumacher, Stefan Bellof, get your facts right unless you only started watching F1 because of Hamilton.
I had a bet on Alonso too win! Hamilton made the mistake at turn 1. It was Massa fault when he spun. He had the racing line and was ahead. Massa was on the grass and shunted him. Still, they both got penalized. Next race.
It is difficult for me to compare Senna to Schumacher because I am too young to have watched him race. All I have to look at are the statistics. At least we both agree that Hamilton won't beat Schumacher's records.
Hill was never a talent. He pushed through with hard determination and character, much more admirable than pure talent for which you have to do nothing.
man i love racing karts its a shame though im not quite at that level though :p but still awesome vid and ya the cadet would be so awesome :D thx and ya it is a shame that most never catch a break.
i think he has all it takes 2 be a great champion like prost schumi or even senna. but let him win a couple of championships in f1 before i say he's the best tough
"a thought fight"? How old are you, 10? Stop watching hollywood films. And what you've said about statistics, I won't even be bothered to reply to that.
@Trondheim18 most places you need to be a member, and its just a matter of signing paper work for insurance and licenses. and after all that you still need a go kart, fuel, spare parts, a trailer, and a few dollars to go and use it. go karting is really fun but is very expesnive aswell
Usually people go from karting to "lower end" formulae racing (regional formulas/formula 3 etc) and now there is the GP2 series which serves as a feeder for formula 1
@GavLeePaul... Yes in a nutshell. Firstly the constuctors championship is very important to the teams but not so much to the public. If Mclaren was to win the drivers title after all the controversy (allegations of cheating) this would look bad on the sport in the FIA eyes. But they could not openly ban them from both championships as, the team would leave, along with its sponsors, harming both the sport and Mclaren in a major way. So a deal was struck. Much to Mclarens disapproval. Re-watch it.
@simonstandbridge1234 I don't agree. Hamilton is a really good driver, but Alonso is a great one. Alonso has an amazing driving style, he's very regular with any car. Stop hating on drivers and enjoy F1.
@Trondheim18 you have to start by finding your nearest go kart circuit and see what kart classes there is. then you buy a kart and engine, practice with it, then do your arks test. then your ready to race
WOW! that was really exciting! i'll check out karting more often...
That boy Hamilton is a real talent, he was driving amazingly for a 13 year old!!
He achieved the highest level last november.
93 wins 7 world championships 97 poles who can doubt this blokes talent the best ever
103 wins 103 poles and technically 8 time world champion now! (Absolutely shameful from Masi to break the rules and steal it from him like that.)
Lewis is just soooooo Amazing!!

Do I smell jealousy in here?? Ah ! I do.
Hamilton is No1
Enough said
Still is
Dam 15 years… I was 10 when you made this lol
6-time Formula 1 champion now, and counting...
he's a great driver. no matter what people say about him as a person, no-one can deny his car control!
I bet you everyone racing here tells everyone now "Guess what i raced against Lewis Hamilton, he was quite good". Lol

Even Ron Dennis couldn't refrain from saying that "Alonso calculated everything but not that Hamilton could compete with him" in a recent chat alongside Bernie Ecclestone...
i'm not a Hamilton fan, but that was just amazing. you have to admit the guy is really a racer and a very determined one at that!
Monaco was my favorite of the '08 season. Hammy completely outclassed the rest of the herd in that race. The guy is a monster in bad weather.
He actually beat Lewis to the championship that year. Think he went on racing karts at international level then disappeared off the scene!
Keep the comments clean please chaps. Got some more of these Lewis karting vids still to come, so keep your eyes peeled.

This is a good video thanks OP, HAMILTON FOR 2008 WDC and Mclaren for WCC.
Bad Blood and F2008 Blow-ups !!!!
runner up f1 2007 in his first year, winner of the wdc in his second attempt f1, he is the best
Amazing talent! - My admiration keeps on growing. I still can hardly believe he's british!! We're meant to be rubbish at sport ... it's tradition lol.
Wow, a 14 year old comment. That's rare
@@glokta1 that was me age 29. I’m now so ooooold . 👨🏻🦳

i've always though Lewis' helmet resembled Senna's. Maybe some king of homage?
