- This is Crime Boss Rockay City which came out in March of 2023. You play as Travis Baker building his gang and taking over the city of Rockay which is heavily based on Miami in the 1990s. This game has made an amazing comeback since its launch in 2023. 505 Games have added more heists characters, guns and changed the leveling system completely.

Thank you to 505 games for sending me an early Steam copy. I do appreciate that you guys didn't abandon the game. My only complaint about the game now is that at times I have experienced frame tearing. I hope that you guys address that in a future update. But other than that thank you for supporting the game a year later and not giving up like alot of other studios do. I can't wait to try the Cagnali Order DLC.
So would you say Crime Boss is officially better than Payday 3 ? I know you were excited for Payday 3 when it was gonna launch and it didn’t do very well but same goes of Crime Boss but I know it did some quality of life updates to the game fixing the game and making it better. What’s your thoughts Pat ?
Frame tearing? You mean screen tearing! That's a Vsync issue.
I do wish more heisting games were made. Crime Boss Rockay City seems like a good competitor to Payday.
Btw a heisting game simply known as Hei$t was going to be released back in like 2006 but it was cancelled.

The fact that this game turned out a lot better than Payday 3 is absolutely mind boggling.
That's because of payday 3 has a bad Foundation while something like Rocket City has a well it didn't have the best foundation but it could have been better and as they started to build it up well they made it better through actual passion and actual constructive criticism.
It's for 20$ on steam, and they give all DLC's for free for 30 day's! If u claim it it's yours for good. Including the new dlc that come out with the steam lunch. U can claim all DLC's on all platforms for new or old players!
Now that is a developer who I'm happy to support !!!

This game has some of the better AI teamates I’ve played games with. They actually move the bags and are helpful, unlike Paydays AI teamates
Which Payday AI teammates are you talking about? 2 or 3?
@@maulanaadrian9383 Both. Payday 2's AI was useful in a way since they were extremely tanky but they didn't do anything except sit around and shoot things. Payday 3's AI doesn't even have that going for it.
You know freedom-fighter ai is also good for time.
@@maulanaadrian9383 both, while Payday 2 ai do clean house if you build correctly, they don’t grab bags the way Rockcay AI do. And do not get me started on the awful AI in payday 3, it’s like payday 2 before the AI patch

When I first saw you play this, I WANTED to like it but it felt barebones. But if they REALLY added more stuff and improved the gameplay loop to feel equally rewarding and fun? This makes me want to pick up the game
honestly...i loved the game before the recent updates...it was jank...but the type of jank you laugh at and have a good time with. I can't wait for the next update...and the dlc
same with Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing it was very jank but extremely funny

This game had lots of potential in my opinion, kept saying it would be good around mid-end 2024.

I can't tell if it's the game stuttering/lagging or if it's a problem with the video and how it rendered. I hope the game runs smoother than it looks. But it looks fun and a lot better than it did originally.

It's not that kind of game. I'm really tired of people seeing crime games with shooting and immediately comparing it to GTA. It has nothing in common with GTA except being a crime game. A more fitting comparison is Payday, and the cooperative heist genre is one that needs competition too since Payday 3 left a void with how boring it is.
agreed rockstar needs some competition because rockstar has grown lazy, and greedy because they know that they have no competitors

@@Lord_Imperion55 Makes me wonder if that's why they "abandoned" Red Dead Online. It had potential, still does. They were worried about it being a competitor to they're beloved GTA. So, they had to shut that down. In theory anyways. Also, like you said, they're lazy and greedy.

I am pissed they removed the introductory and story missions for each member of the crew. Nasara, Touchdown, Gloves, all missions and cutscenes are removed. They are not just magically part of your crew.
Awesome video and overview. And damn' that suit is epic! Regarding disc and car you mentioned there are heists after those: don't want to spoil, but winning vs failing may produce different outcomes, jobs, missions and even certain characters. :)
The only problem I had with the game so far is the stutters. Even the title screen takes a while to normalize. It makes it hard to shill the game to people.
Thats due to shader compilation, that's why the menu lags when you first open up the game. They fixed it in the most recent patch so that the game compiles the shaders before you get to the menu when you launch. It's definitely made the game a lot smoother, still not perfect depending on the missions/maps but MUCH better now.
Unfortunately the shader compilation stutters plague pretty much every Unreal Engine game, doesn't matter what kind of hardware you got, either. A reason I've started really disliking the engine...

After so many mediocre reviews i gave it a try and i loved it from the beginning. I also would say try it, its fun.

Professional you probably don’t know this but if you shoot the things that hold loot in armored truck heists it makes getting through them a lot easier.
I think a multiplayer similar to fragile alliance could work for a game like this, cause that concept is cool
Weird how this whole play through you had Frame Tearing, i bought this game off steam 2 days ago and have never had any issues whatsoever when it comes to frame tearing. Does your PC specs meet the minimum requirements? Happened to me on a old rig i was using and had to upgrade massively. Really annoying indeed for sure. Awesome to see you revisiting this game. Deserves more recognition than it gets.

I believe that the dragon was responsible for killing the king and It wasn’t to take over his territory that was part of it, but it was because that dragon was working for the Cali cartel. The game takes place during the 1990s and during this time the Colombian cartel where the strongest criminal organization in the world, but there were actually two criminal organizations in South America, which were the meddlien cartel which was controlled by Pablo Escobar and the Cali cartel which was controlled by the Rodriguez brothers and Pacho Herrera and Pepe and when you a little digging, you will learn that Escobar and Cali agreed to share Miami because it was a port city so that it can be easy for them to smuggle in their drugs it was the 80s and early 90s that they went to war with each other and Escobar’s organization started to crumble so this is I believe is that Cali wanted to take over Miami so he they had the dragon set up a plan to kill the king who I believe was actually working for the meddelin cartel so that the dragon can take over Miami so that he can distribute their drugs and one thing that I will note is that the reason why the king was able to control the other games was because he was working for Escobar, who being the most notorious druglord of all time was extremely ruthless, and if they ever went against the king they would all be dead but if they knew that the dragon was working for cail they will not be so intimidated because the so-called gentleman of cali were more about negotiations than threats and violence as did with Escobar.
Appreciate the response professional but I just got done finishing the gold cup dlc and after playing it I don’t think my theory stands on what happened to the king cause in the dlc dollar dragon is pretty upset about losing his former boss and even commenting on how a great king he was. P.S I would not recommend playing the dlc it was a complete pain to be able to play and beat it.
I see the new updates made the game a lot smooth & less repetitive unless I'm missing something....the game looks great, the new upgrade system looks good but I don't know if all this would make me.rebuy the game......I hold my hunger for an open world heist crime game with "GTA 6". But I love to see my boy "Pro" take the pain for us by replaying difficult games so we don't have too ....

Never heard of this game before. One of the characters sounds like Michael Madsen
It has a cast filled with celebrities. Michael Madsen, Danny Glover, Michael Rooker, Chuck Norris, Kim Basinger, Danny Trejo, and even Vanilla Ice for some reason. For the most part it's pretty terrible voice acting though. Chuck Norris is the worst by far though, and Danny Glover is hammy af.

I love this game but they really need to fix the stealth mode badly and the AI teammates It's really annoying that a random guards detection meter goes all the way to red forcing you to go loud and the teammates drop bags during a loud heist and keeping engaging enemies just to go down in a couple seconds.

Tried game today 1st time and i just didnt like it(i already was in that state of mind that i probably woudnt like it)
But on the good side is visuals that is looking good
shooting was horrible(also good)I guess it depends on what u compare it to...
Voice acting was not great at times not even good,But worked for this game.
Missed stuff that i think would have made it moore fun(Car chases instead of just jump inton finished)

Is this game worth my time and money? I was super excited for Payday 3 but I saw its release and how bad it released, so I never bought it and I been wanting a new heist game ever since, Is this possibly the game that could scratch that itch, or am I going walk away disappointed? From some people im seeing are saying its good, but I haven’t seen any sort of road maps or much on it
Frame tearing is the biggest issue so far and Pro's specs are better than mine so I think it's gonna be worse experience for you

If you want a game you can play, move on from and pick up again, this might be the one.
At least this game was cool amazing it has some gun idle animation reload with MW reboot style still better than payday 3 and cringe row reboot.
