That quad solo at 3:10 is both one of the coolest written and well executed quad features I've seen in a long time, it seriously has it all: gnarly sweeps, crazy fast/clean rolls, and a gnarly crossover pattern to end, sick stuff fellas!
Hey, I am not a percussion person, I'm a seasoned brass person and let me say that PR's hornline was absolutely the real deal, from top to bottom! That being said, can someone please educate me on the use of Pearl drums, snares particularly, and their tuning / sound compared to other lines (say SCV or Boston)? I've read PR's sound is unique, perhaps leaning to 'older school', but I'm not sure how! Thanks!
I only know enough to be dangerous. But generally speaking the lower the tuning the more “forgiving” it is on clarity. Watch the crusaders drumline this year - the entire line is rambling through notes and the drums are all tuned really high so you can hear any tics way easier. These guys drums aren’t tuned incredibly low but they aren’t as high as they could be. Make sense?

My favorite line this year, the snare line sounds and feels so incredible in person. That opener! Amazing in the lot and amazing from the stands.
Congrats on an excellent season Phantom!!!!❤
2:20 I love this part sm especially the splits
If these guys keep it up they'll be taking high drums in the next 2-3 years
They have been on the hunt since 2019... Last years age out class spent 4 years developing a high standard and the trajectory is up. Love to see it
Best sounding snare tuning all year
hell yeah--what a great season, super excited for this group's future! SUTA🖤🖤
Nice Job Phantom!
Shoutout to the Skeeters as well as the Pillar III quotes.
Absolute ballers. The Phantom Comeback after 2019 has been insane

@@jaylencotton5484 yes indeed! Thanks for the feedback. I do have good ears, but just not experienced as a percussion person. I'll check out BC!
