I like Streamlight. I have always had "good enough" performance out of them. Everything can and will break. My question was the failure reasonable. Surefire is clearly better. They are some of the best lights on the market. They are twice as good as Streamlight at four times the cost. And personally I still can't forgive them for their two decade long CR123 hustle they pulled on the entire tactical world.
People's experience with streamlight seems to be very mixed. Some people have great experiences with them and some not so much. It would be a lot easier to forgive them for a battery hustle if their lights were $150 instead of $350 lol.

Olight is very good. 5000 plus rounds, no failure.
Ive had 2 surefires fail, sent back and surefire replaced them. never a streamlight failure so i guess we'll see
I can relate to your experiences. Streamlight in my experience can be hit or miss.
Hopefully, my experience changes with them. I want them to be reliable and consistent.
Streamlight pistol lights seem to work great(oddly enough even on rifles)….rifle lights not so much.
I don't have any experience with their pistol lights, so I have no opinion on them. Sounds like you have had good luck with them though.
Olight. Gets shit on all the time but I love mine
