Playing a round of ArmA 3, I was on the recipient end of some very deliberate and meticulous room clearing. Door opens, first guy gets gunned down, I'm next. Then I remember, I am holding a FAL, a gun which fires 7.62x51mm NATO. So I magdumped the wall while shouting slurs and insults. A body drops to the ground and the last other player outside is a mix of laughing his ass off and traumatized. Thankfully all just a game. But I always wonder how wall penetration can complicate these situations in real life.

I have a question regarding "point of no return". When committing to a threshold and pieing the corner, is there actually a point of no return or is this just a myth? For example: you enter a room and see a threat, shoot at him but your rifle jams, should you stay committed to this threat (and clear the stoppage) or retreat when already being in the room? Please answer this question in context of solo and duo/team clearing. Thanks

Why wouldn't they just use mirror or cam?

I would think if you have a good idea there's no innocents in the AO, that poking holes with something with quality suppresion from a distance and using thermal and IR, could be a great way to stay concealed past the AO and give you the idea to what to do next
