The Xmas eve nights were the best I remember. The full show including the Xmas tree sketch, then Carol singing till midnight. Plenty of real ales. One time coming out at midnight to see 3 inches of snow. Hitched a ride on the last 96 bus which crawled up Shooters hill.
Those wonderful Friday evenings in The Woolwich Tramshed, the weekend started there. All these people commenting, we were all there at the same time. Anyone there the night of the Royal Wedding (Charles and Diana)? I was there in my wedding dress. It was a great night.
I would love to have seen that. I belive Jim Carter who is best known now as Carson from Downton Abbey also appeared in that show. I saw some pictures on Flickr
Likewise saw fundation many times - first date with my wife of over 30 years despite Norman sitting on her lap in an open leather jacket singing something and getting her to ( no, different times). BTW also saw Acker Bilk and his Jazz men there so you are probably right.
I just wish I could remember all the funny lyrics they sang. I can remember Terry's version of Yesterday, wish I could remember Jack The Knife about my wife's false teeth. Wonderful memories of Fundation at the Tram Shed.
My mum was friends with Norman and Gareth. Used to watch old tapes of stuff like this. Quality and timeless comedy.
Loved those many nights at the Tramshed.
I used to go there, back in my army days.
Yes the Tramshed Woolwich in the 80s I'm Claire l am always there lovey lol
Me too. Great way to end a weekend.

What was it like? I would love to have seen the acts in the tramshed but I was too young and living in the wrong country .
