THANK YOU for encouraging people to close the toilet lid before flushing! A plumber used our bathroom recently and after he left I realized that he had flushed with the lid open - disgusting! My toothbrush was on the counter, less than 2 feet away! Sigh... cleaned everything and threw the toothbrush away!
Is this for real? Ive been flushing with the toilet seat open right beside my toothbrush as long as I have lived. No problem what so ever! People these days worry to much! Thats the effect of internet. Being overly cautious of bacteria is actually more harmful than just having normal hygene routines.
In driving the 10 & 2 rule. I am 73 and have fallowed this “old” rule since I was 16. It’s so good to learn this new rule at my age. I will have to remember it.

I'm a driver ed teacher and something you don't EVER want your front passenger to do is put their feet up on the dashboard. Some people do this even with their seat belts on...it is possible, but here's the problem. Air bags go off at approximately 200 miles per hour and if your passenger has their feet up on the dashboard and that bag goes off (for any reason) their legs will be pushed up into their face at 200mph!! It's happened before and the victims had to go through multiple surgeries and therapy to even be able to walk again. And what it did to their faces is indescribable. This is something I talk about in all my classes.....
Welp, I do it because I have herniated lumbar discs and it’s really difficult to ride in a car without a large amount of increased pain. Having my feet elevated above on the dash relieves some of the compression in my spine that happens whenever the car has to brake. But I’ll be trying to find another solution now... however my seat also has to be reclined all the way back as well so idk if that makes a difference...

I used to get a lot of ear infections as a kid because i was going way into the ear and tearing the delicate skin, resulting in infections. Now I only clean the outer ear, no infections. Another important note, after four or five infections, same doctor, I finally asked "can't you give me something for the pain?" He looked surprised and a little embarrassed (I think because he hadn't thought to ask about pain) and said yes. As a timid little kid, I had assumed he didn't give it before because it would interfere with the medication. Nope. I remember being quite angry at him for not asking about pain and offering pain medication. I would lay in bed my head pounding with each beat of my heart since my ears were so sensitive.
Mine are too, I do use a cotton swab to dry my ears, but try not to dig in. Noises sometimes bother me, my ears are sensitive to wind, lots of times I use cotton balls or yet paper. I use to sleep with plugs in my ears, people said I"d get n infection, but what else is new. Just went to the Dr with an ear infection/fluid on my ears. Last year I lost 50lbs, putting up with nausea from meniers disease! (constant fluid in the Eustachian tube) - Ear pain is not funny!

When driving, keep your hands on the wheel at the 9 o’clock & 3 o’clock positions is right for modern cars with airbags. However if you are privileged enough to own and/or drive a classic or antique car which has neither airbags nor power steering, the 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock hand positions are more appropriate (and preferred).
The most shocking one for me is not to clean the meat before cooking. After watching this vdo I will have to change my habit. Thanks for the valuable tip.

Sitting in any position for a long period of time can be dangerous. For example when on a long plane flight you should get up and walk every 2 hours to prevent a blood clot. A short walk to the bathroom and back will help prevent this.
I don't get it, once he said to, then said not to.. I NEVER touch anything of the toilet, I use a piece of toilet paper to flush. Never tough it unless I"m cleaning it, then also wear gloves.

It's pointless to close the toilet lid before flushing, is because there was gap in between the seat and the bowl, caused by the four rubber knobs. Non of the products are airtight, all experts talk so big, but all of them just missed out that GAP.
I have to say this video is well made. The most interesting one that i didn't know people worried about was kettle lime scale... Although the most shocking was probably the ear wax one. i think the reason behind the 10 and 2 is because vehicles before doesn't have power steering, by placing your hand at 10 and 2, its gonna be easier to steer the wheel because the force will be concentrated at either left or right..by holding it at 9 and 3, the force will be equal on each side,meaning less power concentration and old style steering is not as light as the modern style or the power steering

The one on the tolet seat being down when you flush . Never I mean never have I heard that ! I should have figured that out in my very long life but I never did . That may explain some of my health problems . Thank you for this information that maybe one of my many doctors should have mentioned .

I always thought food cooked in microwave or standing near it when it's cooking is hazardous to, health, but good to know that it's safe. Am kind of relieved to know that.
I actually do clean my ears with that ear thingy a lot, but never had hearing loss. Though I have selective hearing. I never actually knew people believed a microwave could harm you, I always sit in front of it, because when you are making "havermout", it can get over the bowl you put it in. Also I often do heat up chicken in it. And never knew so much could happen if you didnt close the toilet. The only foods I ever wash are potatoes, others I never wash. I do however somethimes put water with my meat, but that's to make an amazing gravy or, let it sudder instead of wash it. I am a nose picker, so yeah, didn't knew I was doing more harm. And I've always learned limescale isn't a hazard, but something that can break your stuff. I always brush whenever I feel like, no actually I only put some tooth paste in my mound and soak it (If I say it right) I always put my legs in a crossed position. And I already knew about the computer, but still don't care enough And this trick was indeed one of the first I've learned, same with overlapping your hands to make a turn, but almost don't do it anymore, just do it like I want it, 4 and 8 xD
John Archer that's why I use the ear cleaner I bought at the store. Petty much all it is is a rubber think that sucks in water and squirts it out. It's safer then a q-tip just as long as you know how to properly use it. some people don't bother reading the instructions and squirt the water directly in their ears when you are suppose to have the water hit the inside of that little flap that sticks out of the front of your ear. That ear cleaner works very well.
You talked about how crossing your legs doesn't cause varicose veins. Can you tell me if there is a certain thing that does cause them? Because I have a ton of them!
I actually learned two new things tonight. The one where you don't wash poultry and the bathroom one. I had to re play it just to hear it. Oh and I never use a q tip for my ears. I have ways for that without it being harmful. Anyway thanks for the information.
Wash your hands before you wash your meat, fish and poultry. Afterwards, wash your hands and then wipe and clean surfaces with disinfecting wipes. There, I fixed it. 😁
Jackson Miller so you’re gonna wipe down every single surface in your kitchen (including all utensils that are out, every spice or herb sitting on the bench, your faucet and handles, the windowsill, windows and blinds, all the drawer and cupboard and their handles) every single time you cook meat? That sounds like a looooottttttt of effort to go through just to do something that has literally no benefit lol.
I mean I just don’t make unnecessary messes in the first place because I have a basic understanding of food hygiene and know that washing meat doesn’t do anything but spread germs. But you do you boo, clean those blinds every day.
Looking at screens (and all other close proximity objects) for a while _does_ have a negative impact on your vision. Our eyes are built to look at far away objects with the ability to adjust for closer distances. The way it works is that our muscles deform the lens so that the picture is sharp. If the distance is small, our muscles there are under stress and if they're kept in that position for an extended period of time (-> staring at a screen or reading a book) makes them stay short and then, we can't see sharp at a distance and need glasses.

I sometimes use a proxide cap full and pour into my ear then when done fizzing I tip my head and drain. Then clean with Q-tip
I do that when I'm sick. I now know it probably doesn't do anything but it's a habit my parents instilled in me lol

I always thought food cooked in microwave or standing near it when it's cooking is hazardous to, health, but good to know that it's safe. Am kind of relieved to know that.

I actually do clean my ears with that ear thingy a lot, but never had hearing loss. Though I have selective hearing.
I never actually knew people believed a microwave could harm you, I always sit in front of it, because when you are making "havermout", it can get over the bowl you put it in. Also I often do heat up chicken in it.
And never knew so much could happen if you didnt close the toilet.
The only foods I ever wash are potatoes, others I never wash. I do however somethimes put water with my meat, but that's to make an amazing gravy or, let it sudder instead of wash it.
I am a nose picker, so yeah, didn't knew I was doing more harm.
And I've always learned limescale isn't a hazard, but something that can break your stuff.
I always brush whenever I feel like, no actually I only put some tooth paste in my mound and soak it (If I say it right)

Using a Q-Tip can cause a serious ear infection.
John Archer that's why I use the ear cleaner I bought at the store. Petty much all it is is a rubber think that sucks in water and squirts it out. It's safer then a q-tip just as long as you know how to properly use it. some people don't bother reading the instructions and squirt the water directly in their ears when you are suppose to have the water hit the inside of that little flap that sticks out of the front of your ear. That ear cleaner works very well.

I actually learned two new things tonight. The one where you don't wash poultry and the bathroom one. I had to re play it just to hear it. Oh and I never use a q tip for my ears. I have ways for that without it being harmful. Anyway thanks for the information.
Wash your hands before you wash your meat, fish and poultry. Afterwards, wash your hands and then wipe and clean surfaces with disinfecting wipes. There, I fixed it. 😁

Looking at screens (and all other close proximity objects) for a while _does_ have a negative impact on your vision. Our eyes are built to look at far away objects with the ability to adjust for closer distances. The way it works is that our muscles deform the lens so that the picture is sharp. If the distance is small, our muscles there are under stress and if they're kept in that position for an extended period of time (-> staring at a screen or reading a book) makes them stay short and then, we can't see sharp at a distance and need glasses.
