Hey folks - After 1day of views and feedback .... Next time I post a comparison on something new.. I will make the video title more aligned with my intent than leaving a cliffhanger. Fair deal. Also.. Afor those wanting more.. Ive posted 2 other videos with sound clips and my thoughts.. so please be advised to browse over to those other 2 videos. lastly,.. I have updated info from Radiant .. and i willhave to runthetests again with more ideal placement, better on axis mic placement .. and proper level matched. My 1 and done style without edits makes it a bit tricky.. but at least this way you can see the effort it takes to make this content... I hope the effort is rewarded with support. I appreciate it.
@EricDSalisbury ... True.. At 92 db sensitive and massive midrange surface.. they have a lot of advanatge. not a fair comparison here.. They are both a tower.. and more expensive.
Based on this demo and setup, I can’t decide whether I like the low-end extension of the Clarity better, or the punch and texture of the SVS. Out of the three, I think the clarity makes the track sound the most tonally balanced and natural- it makes me just want to relax and listen the most. The R3 sounds nice but comparatively I think that the high-end sounds a bit dry and the bass perhaps not as well controlled, albeit they do seem to posses an overall lively sound signature. With the SVS some of the highs sound a bit subdued comparatively, but the treble that is there sounds pleasing. Great demo!
@@EricDSalisbury .... Thank you. This was for entertainment.. It was not level matched. When I reposition them.. and run it again with On Axis mic placement.. then I think it'll be a more accurate demo. Stay tuned.
@3limin4torZockt ...I posted 2 other videos featuring these speakers... Have a scroll. Doesnt seem like anyone else went looking.. and assumed this was my only video about them. Truth is.. I knew this wasnt an ideal test.. so I wanted to see how an Inaccurate test registered with viewers. I definitely got answers.
They are .. when set up correctly. I'll be recording and talking more about them soon. Just navigating some timing issues lately. I just added a new video talking about the Isoacoustics stands I am using with them now.. so I anticipate them being even more clear.
SVS, nice clear sound, I find them not as smooth and less dept, now listening to the Kef and I noticed a nice improvement, they are clear, very smooth and the dept is there. The Radiant Acoustics, nice and clear, all 3 pairs share that, they are smooth and I find a bit less dept to the Kef, I do hear things in the song that I could not hear in the other 2 pairs. If I was to purchase a pair out of these 3, I would go with the Kef. I had my Sennheiser headphones on as you can't tell anything via the speakers of my laptop. If I was in your room, I am sure it would be very different. Thanks for this demo.
1. Speaker one was more airy. The rain stick instrument seemed to stick out and sparkle. I could hear it begin and end. The second speaker hid this detail. This speaker was much more lean in the bass. 2. Speaker two seemed to excell in the mid range. Low end seemed to be the musddiest of the 3. My least fav of the 3. 3. Sonically a middle ground between the three speakers. The rain stick was noticeable but not as prominent as with the 1st speaker. Half way through the track/post drum fill... I noticed the snare seemed to have more attack with this speaker. Last, there seemed to be a more noticable and controlled low end.
@ADAngeloM ... This is a wonderful analysis even with my poor recording. I hope to re test with some level matching between tracks next time. I may also bump the volume a touch. Might be a while.. Im not a fan of removing my towers for demos.. haha.
R3 meta are the loudest and seem to give more air in highs and overall better clarity than svs and radiants. I am waiting for proper level-matched comparison!
@pawelkudela4947 ... They are 87 db.. and for this recording ..none of them were level matched. I will run again with better mic placement and system level matching. 🙏👍🏻
To me the Radiant sounded like a lush version of the R3 meta with less air in the high end and a bit recessed midrange. I think the R3 Meta sounded much more open as the Radiants highs sounded like they were very dry and "closed". Before listening to this I thought I would prefer the Radiant but just based on this video, I would definitely pick the R3 Meta, WOW! And yes I would really like to hear the A10 vs Radiant demo. Keep up the good work man!
I will do another round of demos. This was pretty rough and there are reasons for the Clarity 6.2 roll off - Firstly.. the mics are 12inch or so above my ears.. and above the ideal placement for the Radiant. The KEF have a wider dispersion - By design. To to be fair.. these all need to be pushed back into the room.. and re orded on axis... Correct? I hear what you hear... and thats also because KEF are 87 db... and not level matched here with the SVS or Radiant. ( only fixed Pre amp volume as I explained ) A follow up is pending.
Really sorry But your opinions sitting right in front of the speakers in the room is worth so much more than anyone’s opinion listening 3rd part through a phone / headphones irrespective of the quality of our playback devices . Just spill the beans , give us your first hand opinions ..or frankly (just my opinion) ..the whole test is pointless and I can’t be bothered with it
@allanwhittle3041 ... Did you watch my follow up videos? ... If you did see those, I have a feeling you wouldnt have felt to write this post as a " Really sorry but "...
The recording quality is just to bad to make a fair comparison. Get some better microphones and reduce the reverb in the room drastically by adding thick absorption panels.
@kingtubbyleeperry .... The recording from a phone is so bad... there is no reverb in the room. This doesnt sound anything like my room. Yes... I need better mics.. but no one is paying me to do that.. so... this is what we have.
I hope you shorted out (connect the positive and negative terminals together) the unused speakers, if not, at least turn all those unused drivers to the rear. The unused drivers will vibrate with the active speakers and effect the sound.
Im aware of this trick to use the impedance differential to resist the air pressure in room from pushing / resonating the passive speakers not being used. When my recording matters for accuracy.. I will short the terminals. Always nice to know people of audio capacity are willing to share information that might already be known. After all, .. it's a hobby with decades of knowledge at our finger tips =)
I did not listen to this demo, just waiting for the discussion about your impression. In general I find kefs lacking detail. They sound dull in the mids and highs. This is comparing the blade 2 meta and Reference 3 to my own JBL 4367s. Different rooms and systems so hard to say….
Fair point not paying too much attention to the sounds online / recording. I withheld my opinion this time because this 3 way recording was not ideal and very spontaneous. Others have criticized me for withholding my thoughts which I do understand .. so it tells me I should not tease a demo ..but rather do it when I can give my thoughts. No worries in any regard .. I don't just post1 video and move on .. I will have lots of videos to come about these. I don't do things here like the other " busy " channels.
@User_not_found_403 ... Ive worked hard and wise to get where I am... Some luck.. but a lot of putting myself in alignment with opportunities. Im borrowing 3 sets of speakers.. in the room.. not own them. & thats what I mean by work hard to have opportunity.

SVS : a bit tonal unbalance where I find the bass a bit too recessed for my taste and the rest of the frequency spectrum too emphasized Kef : mid's an high's were the best but bass too muddy for me Radiant : best bass of the 3, but mid's and high's lack a little for my taste but not so much that it sounds out of balance.
Thanks for the feedback! As this is only a recording of their details in my room .. I think those impressions are 80% accurate. The radiant is much cleaner live ..
