Good to see Bali is thriving once again with tourism. The locals must be happy to resecure the livelihood after the Covid 19 pandemic. Interaction with the locals and finding out their daily life is the best part of travelling.
Go to Bali if you don't mind wading through ankle deep garbage, thrown into streams, lining the roads, and washed up on the beaches.... Bali long ago lost its beauty due to the lack of any regular garbage pickup schedule, and an almost total lack of garbage cans. It is like that through most of Indonesia and Thailand.
This is a huge problem! We understand the lack of knowledge regarding times of years when garage is washed up on many beaches can lead to a less than impressive experience. It is a developing country and I guess it is very sad that this hasn't been addressed considering the amount of money tourism brings to the country in general - we hope sooner rather than later the government will do something to combat this! There were plenty of places where this wasn't evident but unfortunately it is a massive problem :(
@@ChristianandAkita And they blame it on tourism! Amazing. To be fair this happens everywhere in Indonesia. Thailand isn't a whole lot better. The king is useless. Just rakes in the billions, but too much trouble to actually do something....., like develop a waste management plan. Thanks for you content. Good work!
Nice video again guy's, I'm enjoying your content, very informative. That market at the start was a bit of a worry with melted ice on the fish and saw some flies there as well, I got sick once in Thailand after eating seafood that had been out like that but looked good for fruit and Veg etc. A question, do you guy's know the opening date for Icon Bali? We are in Sanur around the 10th of June, would be great if we caught it but I noticed it still had a crane up and still a bit of work to go, I saw somewhere they now said it would be opening in late May but that must be questionable, what do you guy's think? Thank You
Thank you so much for your comment again! We love to read that you are enjoying our content. We appreciate the support. 😊 The icon mall was suppose to be open when we visited although they were very behind. The new date is currently the 17th of May but this is questionable, if they stick to schedule will be open for your holiday!
My wife and I have been to Bali countless times. Unashameably I have been scammed once with money changing. Very early one morning we were in a hurry to start a big trip driving around the island and I changed $200.00 at a dubious money changer. Jumped in the car and asked my wife to check what we received and we were short-changed by about $20.00. That late afternoon when we returned I went back to the same money changer and I knew he recognized me and I said these are your 3 options. 1. Give me my correct exchange rate back. 2. I will contact the tourist police. 3. If you don't I will return tonight and ignite your shack. Hey presto, my correct money was returned. Please note I was then 65 and very law-abiding.
We have heard a few stories like this! I am thinking it happens less now but still very obvious there are places that will short change you if possible. Glad you could get your money back!
As an Indonesian I am very ashamed for what happened to you andyour wife. That crook should be jailed for scamming and destroying the Bali & Indonesian Tourism reputations
@@ChristianandAkita You can even do a cooking class where they take you to the market first thing, explain all the foods and then you go off, and learn to cook 😉

Thank you for joining along on our journey, we are glad you are enjoying :) Hope you have the best time when you visit in July!
I love Sanur. It’s my favourite area with great food and shopping. It’s only a short cab ride to Legian and Seminyak where I go for Beaty treatments.
We did enjoy Sanur! it definitely has some great food.
Excellent videos guys. We've been going to Sanur for over 15 years. It's our favourite place to stay. The Hyatt is a great place to stay as well. ❤

@@ChristianandAkita That would be nice, thanks or the update 🙏🙏
Buying Pocari Sweat in South East Asia was so amazing! I LOVE the stuff but in New Zealand for a 500ml it's $3-$4 😢
RIGHT! We love it too, but definitely too expensive to buy out of Asia. here is Aus its around $5 a bottle
Love you
From west java
Can you please tell me were you stayed in Nusa Lembogian, love your videos!
Hai Tide Resort in Mushroom bay
Thanks for watching! Glad you are enjoying them
Love u All Guys, nice trip to bali, enjoy ya
Thank you ❤
In general Indonesian people adore kids. Don’t be afraid if some strangers suddenly touch your kids, they love small children ( in a good way )
We know - the hospitality is unmatched. I think this is a big part of how popular Bali is
Sanur is like the more cultural side of Bali i believe because more locals live in that part🤔.
We did notice this! A lot less touristy than other areas
Lots more locals and pricing was less then Kuta/Seminyak areas. A lovely place to relax!
Awesome update, be careful you don’t bump into Lars Anderson
Fingers crossed!
Thanks
Christian & Akita
You're welcome

You have to change your money in an official money changer.
Which resort is this?😍

please visit Merauke also
Sanur (snore😂) is one of my fav place in bali
We feel like it's a blast from the past - maybe what Kuta/Seminyak used to be 30 years ago?
Market is a lot busier at 7am. At night it becomes a food market with delicious and cheap local dishes
Wow thank you for letting us know! We had no idea! Would have been nice to see at night time.

Perfect place :)
It was an amazing place! Definitely worth a visit when in Bali. 😊
He looked like tech RUclipsr Bitwit
All videos about Bali should be banned, honestly, just stop
I don't think we mentioned anything about chili
Why?
This video is soooo borring. Specially having your kids holding while talking looks so weird cuz they are not in the age anymore to be holded.
I'm just going to ignore this comment its soooooooo boring
Bali only 5000 sq km. Indonesia 1,9 million sq km..so bali only 0,25 % area of Indonesia.
Lots to see and do for much a small island. We plan to explore more of Indo soon! Lots of beautiful islands over 17,000 - any must see places?
@@ChristianandAkitacome to sulawesi island alooooot of place to see
