This movie is incredible. I'm seeing it a third time this weekend. Jakes performance is unlike any he's ever done and by far his best. I'd even rank it up there with De Niros Bickle and Hopkins Lecter.
Performances like this are consistently overlooked in favor of performances as historical figures. I wish the academy would cool it with their obsession over performances in biopics and recognize great constructed characters like Lou Bloom.

This is one of my favorite movies, probably the best I've seen of 2014.
Love this film, Jake Gyllenhaal has to be nominated for an Oscar for this. You hear me Academy, no more snubbing "Ben Affleck - Argo".
