@@kyurei4478 honestly the answer should he objectively Kazuya. Icies are close but they're dependent on you having both Climbers. Kazuya has death combos at any percent off like 4 different moves.

honestly Ics should win the combo round. Pretty much 99% kills you see from them are from crazy combos that are true and the funniest thing is that you can be rewarded for getting hit cause you can get a hit from the second ic and start a desync combo like that. Rob at least has to find an opening for combo, ics just get those sometimes randomly and on different ocasions and can kill you or at least do major damage to have their kill combos ready for later.
Rob gets a combo out of literally every move + all of it is pretty safe/covers a wide space. Icies have to somewhat commit.

I agree. As someone who has to regularly fight an ICs main, they literally only have their combos. If they couldn’t desync, they would be a bottom 5 character
@@springsmartson7669 But the question isn't "which one relies on their combos the most", it's "which one has the BEST combos". Many top tiers are good enough that they don't NEED their combos, but they still have better combo games than many low tiers.
Not only would ICs be gutter trash without their combo game...they are still pretty terrible WITH their combo game. Simply put: If their combo game were better than R.O.B.'s, you'd see them winning tournaments. R.O.B. wins, FREE.
ESAM has argued for years that pikachu is the best character in the game because of combo potential and robbed Marss anyway

@@gorelock4527 pika is 100% more reliant on combos. The prompt was "character with the best combo game" though and there is nothing better than 0->deaths AND big damage while doing so, so R.O.B is a valid choice

and at low level he really is. I think he's fairly easy on mid level too. Just high / top level are different with a lot of characters and Sora is one of those.

These superlative videos are always entertaining. To vote on that last topic- I’d probably go Pika, since both Icies and ROB have the asterisks of needing Nana and Gyro for their combo games to be untapped.

I think a rule that could make this game even more fun, is if you got a point for ever card you put down, that way it discourages using your best one first and winning instantly (which they're not doing for the sake of fun of course, but that would be the optimal strategy)

how on earth did esam win that last one? Pika is nothing without combos, and kill confirms and the same is true for icy climbers but to an even crazier degree. At the end of the day rob still has insane neutral, and his combos while being able to kill you are significantly harder to pull off all of them than just getting free percent with Pika, then with ice climbers their combos are way harder but are just insta kills every time if performed correctly. ROB is just kind of the in between of both sides of the coin when there are two extremes that somehow lost to him.
The issue is the wording of the question. "Best combo game" left so much room for interpretation that Esam just kinda decided that consistency trumps all and debated from that standpoint, while the other two didn't have a clear direction they were going for with their explanations. Literally got gaslighted into "admitting" R.O.B. has better combos than possibly the two coolest and most combo oriented characters in the game.
? Rob combos both kill at 0 and/or rack up big damage. Not quite sure why pika combos are "better/easier" at getting free percent. They even talked about pika combos being DI reliant and dropping a combo (which is pretty easy) will only deal 25% or smth. while rob deals double the stuff with just up airs.
They argued about best/most effective combos not "character most reliant on their combos".
This format always suffers from not having a neuteal party, the way it's presented you only one person to agree with you and Wadi will obviously will give the point to ROB.

i think corrin is pretty cool. At lest they have kind of long combos and tones of good ways to things call out. Their neutral can just be "lol sword", but the advantage state has a lot of cool stuff

I'd say the Combo Game of Fox vs Falcon probably balances out to be even. Like Fox does more damage but Falcon has far more kill moves and kills much earlier than Fox. So they average out to about the same.

OK I wanna speak up for PT. Not that I want to say that she is the hardest to play, but she is not as easy to play as everyone wants to say. Like yeah, PT is brain dead, with every pkmn you got your moves that your going to spam because they are good, but usually because the rest are not good. You spam Bair o fair with ivy because, are you gonna use ftilt? Dtilt? No. Are you gonna spam neutral b, up smash, up tilt? No, upair (and because it's still like the best up air). Also, because of that every pkmn by its owns has limited tools, so even if they are good by their own, you can exploit those weakness, and generally PT has slow moves, even if they don't look as. All of ivy moves are really good because they last a long time, but that also gives you more time to punish. Zard is slow, no wonders here. Squirtle I would say it's actually not as fast as people think. He's kind of floaty so good combos with squirtle are harder to do than with other fast spaced character, and shielding squirtle aerials that are a big part of his neutral you will mostly be fine. What k want to say is, that PT is more brain dead than easy, because you can do the same every time and be good with that, but to actually do good, you have to work with the same stuff every time, but at least those tools are good to work by their own, and you can still try different game plans with the same character, and switching character archetype

To make the rules actually encourage the type of gameplay that the content creators are seemingly suggested to lean towards, there needs to be an incentive for keeping a round going on as long as possible. That encourages people to just play the next best character they have and not just slam down their absolute best option.
A basic way would be to make it so when the round ends the winner gets a point for every character played or every “rotation” of everyone playing a character.
Don't gaslight me into thinking my character is easy marss, you'll destroy my sense of self worth

Honestly I don’t think ROB should have won the argument over which character has the best combo game. The Pandas are undoubtably more skillful and knowledgeable than me, but frankly if you ask why Pikachu is top tier, it’s mostly because of his combos. Are they hard? Yes. But combos are what makes Pikachu a threat. “Best combo game” isn’t limited to which character has the best kill confirms or easiest combos, it’s looking at the character’s combos at the highest level possible. Rob’s combos are good, but to me a good “combo game” is literally having combos that last so long that you can’t even play the game and you’re constantly in the blender. That’s what Pikachu likes to do. I can also see an argument for Ice Climbers because they’re probably in the top 3 for best combos, but against a good player landing them is a very different story. Personally I think the automatic winners of the final round would have been Kazuya or Steve, they can literally do whatever they want and get insane percent or a kill depending on the skill level and scenario. The final argument was much more interesting seeing as none of them had those two, but I don’t see a world where ROB wins the title of “best combo game.” They didn’t even directly mention his zero-to-death.

As a Greninja and PT main: PT is SUPER easy and Greninja is easy if you know that dash attack and down tilt don't always carry
Pika should’ve won combo round especially against rob. Rob has stray hits that kill at like 80 and a spike that can kill at like 20 at ledge, he doesn’t need combos. I mean wadi is a good example of this, he gets like 4 hit combos then just hits a side b randomly offstage and he’s one of the best robs lol. But you get hit by one pika bair and you know you gonna be waiting for 20 minutes to get out.
