Wow what a wonderful play room! I just got back from Florida I’m in the uk. I don’t have a craft room just an area this room it’s a dream come true xxx
Sorry for the delayed reply, Carlotta. Thanks for watching my now very old video. I hope you got a chance to check out the part 2 and 3, and then also my downsizing video. A lot has changed!
I love your set up....I like to SEE as much I can....I forget what I have and being able to see them it gives me great incentive. And I love white! Your room rocks...thanks for sharing your time, tutorials and talent.
Love your craftroom....warm, cozy feeling...very nicely organized....Great ideas to...take the doors off your closet....your punch storage is really neat..I like you like to see certain items...and others tucked away with a label...I know this room calls to you....it would be hard to stay out of there.🤗🤗🤗
Almost twice as big as my craft room and craft closet and your's is the same size as my master bedroom. Yep can't wait to move. Very nice room=) I have been doing this too with projects I am working on but love the bigger bins you use best so going to pick up some bigger ones for other projects I have everywhere instead of together=)! Finally going to Ikea for the first time so hoping to get nice and organized better like you are.
I still quilt, but paper crafting has taken over my studio space! Loved your set up and your video is helpful. Thank you! I am heading in there now to reorganize my stamps! Look forward to your next video. :-)
Thank you, I just watched all three parts of your videos and love what you did with your room. Thank you for sharing the information on the closet shelves, I will need to keep that in mind if I need to do that in the future, right now I have no closet in my room but will be moving to Florida when we retire and that is one of the conditions that my husbands builds me the room there.
Fabulous room, Annette! I think your closet and mine might be related - mine has that wonky little space in the corner as well. Thank you for sharing and inspiring!
Annette! I just found you on you tube!!! I took your graphics 45 Class at Mother’s Day 2017! In Oaklandon at Pallett and Paper. YOU INSPIRED ME SO MUCH! You can’t believe how my life has changed! I hope to get a you tube channel in the near future! Can’t wait to follow you! Craft on!!!, Sonia Buck ❤️
I was looking at my saved videos. I only save what's worthy of a second view. Imagine my surprise to see a thumbs down. I corrected it, but I've found others with down thumbs that I know I had "liked" in the past. Whatever games yt has been playing to keep from paying content providers is cruel. Thanks for taking the time to share with us. We ARE inspired even if the stats never proved it.
brr johnson Thanks for revisiting. I had gotten some response on this video about moving too fast with the camera. I’ve tried since then to be mindful of that. I’ll be back soon with downsizing ideas for the craft room, as my husband and I are moving into a 2-bedroom apartment soon. Stay tuned!
@@AnnetteGreen I'm moving cross country soon and serious downsizing is required. It's hard to anticipate what I'll WANT in the future. I'm very much looking forward to what you have planned. Your organization style works for me. Camera work takes everyone some time to master, it's not as intuitive as some ppl assume. Our eyes don't adjust/focis the same to video as IRL.
Great craft room!!! So many ideas to use on my craft room. Definitely doing to baskets for projects you are working on. I did subscribe to your channel and I am looking forward to more videos. Have a great day
Oh wow can we seaport homes lol I've moved into a new house in Suffolk, England (I'm Scottish hubby is English) and he Jason put shelves etc up and at the bottom we got some kitchen cabinets I still have to paint everything white but will get there but storage stuff here is so expensive. Those fabric bins are expensive here maybe I'll get a friend to send me dime when I have some cash lol I'm disabled can't work so takes a while to get stuff together. I am enjoying watching you as I can pick up some ideas thank you huggles xxxAnnxxx
ClutterBug Thanks! It’s an ongoing process for sure. Be sure to catch Video 2 and 3 as well as my Craft Room Clean-up video. That’s a good one for where to start with a messy craft room.
I’m sure dozens of people have suggested this already, and I know this video is almost 5 years old, so consider this as info for anyone else who stumbles on your page... dual tipped markers should be stored horizontally. (I noticed your markers stored vertically. ) Horizontal Storage keeps the ink flowing smoothly between both tips, and is just better for the markers over all. AND while we are on the subject of storage, gel pens should be stored tip down. Most companies that make gel pens use a vacuum system to pressurize the ink towards the tip to maintain a smooth flow. But if you store your gel pens tip-up, they have a likelier chance to dry out the ball where the ink flows through. If ink can flow out, air can flow in. And once a gel pen tip dries, it’s often difficult to get it started again, even if you soak the tips in hot water. Just a friendly neighborhood art tip. ❤️
Thanks for all the helpful tips. Things have certainly changed in my craft room since this video. I'm working on a Downsizing your Craft Room now that will be ready soon.
You have a great room for making your creations. You said its small. well you dont have seen my room, this is 2 x 2,5 meters. hahahahah. Thanks for the tour. Hugs Astrid
I flipped all of my paper shelves onto their sides so my paper is stored vertically and I like it much better, it is so much easier to grab sheets i need rather than having to dig through a stack.
I know this is old, but do you still craft with Graphic 45 items? I am absolutely in love with Graphic 45. My second favorite if of course Tim Holtz. You are my crafting twin. 🤣. I would love to see your Graphic paper collection. Do they have a monthly club type situation, where I can get kits every month or something like that? I love your ideas here.
Hello and welcome! Yes, I am currently an Ambassador and Special Project Designer for Graphic 45! I love them too. Yes indeed, Graphic 45 has a monthly club kit. It's called ClubG45. You can find all the info here: g45papers.com/Graphic%2045%20Blog/Club-G45 (and P.S. I design these kit projects every other month along with fellow designer, Maria Cole.)
OMG... you are not going to believe this.... but MY NAMe is and has always been Annette Green.... LOL how funny is that.... nice to meet you Annette... I'm Annette... have a great day!
Thanks! That card rack I've had for over 10 years, and the company I got it from no longer sells that one. But I'm sure if you just Googled "rotating display racks" you'd find someone who sells them. That's what I did when I was looking for mine. Sorry I couldn't help you.
Luv your crafty space wish mine was even 12x12 ! You mentioned that you don't like your horizontal paper storage cubes that are in the closet, would it work to turn them so they are vertical, just a suggestion if it would work.
your house is so nice and meet and pretty. I only have a craft corner in my kitchen but it's so unorganized and I need to do it but I keep procrastinating because I don't know where to start!!!! Any suggestions? I do polymer clay in the corner. so I have a lot of clay and molds and tools. also paints and containers and such.
The key with organizing an already cluttered space while not feeling overwhelmed is to take it little by little. Spend just 15 minutes tidying up one area or bin. Allow yourself to walk away after that. Then do another 15 minutes the next time. It also helps to remove as much as possible to allow yourself to see what you have, then put things in bins that make sense for how you work before you return them to your space. These are tips I've learned from others that work really well for me. Good luck, and sorry for the delayed response.
Annette Green thank you for the tips. I have actually organized my little corner. My mother bought me a cart with wheels and I was able to sort thru my stuff and organize it pretty good. Now, I just need to do the bookshelf in my room. I use it for all the other stuff that there is not room for in my corner. I hate that bins and carts and the like are so costly! It's plastic for crying out loud. But your organization skills are amazing and if I get a craft room someday, I hope to be able to do it half as good as you!
Thanks Becky. I've had that rack for over 10 years now and can't remember exactly where I ordered it from. (Online) But there are many companies online that sell display items like this. You'd just have to do a Google search. Sorry I can't help better than that. Good luck!
Sorry no. But I can tell you it was easy to do. Several coats of pearlized paint, then paper to make a pill box hat, collar, eyelashes, and then I added some Graphic 45 brads and keys for her jewelry.
Tohona Griffin hi. What I actually said was Seven Gypsies which was a brand of metal hardware embellishments I showed in a basket. I hope that clears up the confusion.
I know I’m lucky to have this size. Not sure what the square meters would be, but I just know that I see so many photos of craft room that are HUGE. So in comparison to those, mine is small. It’s probably a good thing, otherwise I’d own even MORE stuff and things would really get out of control.
