Travis, a mage, and a warrior are very VERY good against the last boss of the demo. Without spoiling, the boss has a passive that makes multi-hit attacks mandatory to damage them. The thief’s double hit, the mage’s triple hit, and the warrior running in to HULK SMASH while the thief dodges the boss’s would-be lethal attacks

I think it is important to mention weapons because that really goes to show what sort of flexibility some classes have. Otherwise it’s just match-up which are a core part of class dynamics but not the be-all and end-all of a classes potential. Loved your guides for Octopath 2 really helped me at times.

I basically sacrifice my soldiers' strength for ap 'management' (ap is the ability to use actions or attack). There is a spear you get early that does -1 AP if your attack hits but -% physical atk, also there's an accessory you buy that gives you another ap but -% phys damage. So my soldier is very very weak (the class is very weak in the first place) but she negated 2+ attacks herself and early game when most enemies only have one attack means two of your enemies are virtually taken out of the battle! ofc as enemies promote this isn't quite as effective BUT it's great early game :)

Currently running Havock up front Clive on back right and Sharon behind havock. Have Clive changed so he attacks lowest health with warriors eye patch. He just keeps wiping whole units. Love it.

I agree with everything you said, I will just add that the knight, like clive, has 3x the mobility speed as well. which really can be helpful in missions where you need to change direction to take up an item or snipe out a target fast.

It's good on the stages with thief enemies who run away from your units; your cavalry can run them down rather than you ending up chasing them around the stage.

@632 AND Josef can heal other units for valor points in combat, even if you wont use him in battle much, he is a good to have the around the back, ready to "help". and probably will be until around level 20. AND another thing... ofc he has his own "rapport" with certain characters, so ofc he should be used for that alone at some point.

Oddly with the Chole comment I honestly haven't been using her. I've been wanting units like Lex where they have a role and excel at that role instead of a jack or all trades. Lex is great at protection again ranged attacks like bows or flying units so if I'm facing ranged attacks I know to slide him in. Also finding a first aid kit accessory really makes me not have a space for her, the unit slot is often more valuable than the accessory slot.

@@lildragon0 I haven't gotten to that point yet. I only know what they look like, when you acquire Berniece it shows them as well. Sorry :/
