    Thanks for the awesome review. I just picked up mines yesterday SL trim. And it does drive amazing. I had a previous Pathfinder with the CVT transmission and you can definitely tell a difference even ride quality is much better with 20 inch wheels. Great to see Nissan back at it!

    I love this baby so much this going be my next car. That Chestnut color interior really brings it out as new exterior styling, so glad has 9 speed automatic tranny than CVT. Nissan is really hitting it out of park don't care being single / no children this going be my next ride for sure! I'm sticking to it.

    Nice looking vehicle. Those larger vehicles really shine on the interstate especially with a V6 or more along with that 9 speed transmission. It’s such a relaxing drive.

      Way back when, I owned a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. It was rugged and masculine looking, then they went and got all soccer mom on us with the next generation. This one has definitely caught my attention again.

    First time I saw this suv was in a parking lot and loved it in person, started checking reviews asap. This or Telluride will be my next vehicle.

      I'm also about buying a new SUV. My top choices are Telluride, Pathfinder, and the Ford Explorer. I like Explorer because it's RWD vehicle but I don't like it's small turbo engine 2.3L. The V6 Explorer is over my budget.

    Bro right now you do the best reviews .. I love that you go in depth with the visuals .. In time you can only get better and I really do appreciate that you do mostly all the model trims, when driving you let us hear the roar of the engines and you give us a lot of depth with the ride afterwards ..
    Tank you for the reviews ..
    Love this Pathfinder now ..

    I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 223,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.

    • @TinoMiller

      Exactly .. People don't know how to drive these days

    • @Bart-dg6qv
      @Bart-dg6qv 3 года назад +2

      I don't know about that. My '15 Altima's CVT died at 60k. I didn't notice it though - it was computer diagnosis and it was fixed under warranty (fortunately I did that service right before 60k kicked). So I guess it happens.

    • @TinoMiller
      @TinoMiller 3 года назад +1

      @@Bart-dg6qv Did you bother to change the transmission oil ?? Also if you check Edmunds, KBB and MT they would tell you that the 4 generation and 6 generation Altimas are the best to buy all around ..

    • @Bart-dg6qv
      @Bart-dg6qv 3 года назад +1

      @@TinoMiller I followed Nissan service schedule (maybe except wipers). As far as I remember there was transmission oil change. I don't know, somehow I'm not impressed with technology anymore. Only money matters, constantly new products, always higher price and shorter life cycle. Like witch EV cars - what are we going to do with all those highly toxic used batteries?

    • @TinoMiller
      @TinoMiller 3 года назад +1

      @@Bart-dg6qv I agree with the battery situation .. But Nissan says all their batteries that are not usable anymore are going to be used to power homes, companies, small businesses, and even those of emergency shelters etc .. I know this has been said and proven Nissan HQ in Yokohama 🗾 had been doing this since 2016 ..

    A CVT transmission, or continuously variable transmission, is smoother but very expensive to repair and do not last as long as the reg transmission. people report they start noticing overheating, slipping, and sudden loss of acceleration at 60,000 to 75,000 miles
    you really need to keep up maintenance on a CVT. will cost about $500.00 a year.

    Thanks for the review. How does it compare to Telluride and Highlander in terms of quietness and overall refinement?

    • @NothinButCarReviews
      @NothinButCarReviews  3 года назад +4

      I believe this year of Pathfinder is a real competitor. Telluride is still the SUV to beat in my opinion, but Nissan has come a LONG way with this Pathfinder compared to the outgoing model. At this point, I’d drive all 3 of them and your decision will be based on personal preference.

    • @TinoMiller
      @TinoMiller 3 года назад +3

      To be honest the refinement is really great and esthetics are amazing .. I test drove one and it's really quiet the Telluride and the Highlander lack the towing capacity and the somewhat off rod capabilities the Pathfinder has to offer and the speaker system ..

    • @Bart-dg6qv
      @Bart-dg6qv 3 года назад +1

      No comparison to Higlander. All my previous cars were from Nissan. I was waiting for this new Pathfinder. Checked it last Saturday and I went straight to Toyota after. This is an absurd to pay 50k for Nissan when you have 52k Highlander Platinum available. Really disappointing, specially interior quality.

    • @TinoMiller
      @TinoMiller 3 года назад +2

      @@Bart-dg6qv what Highlander did you see that sticker tag on ?? Cause as painful as it is to say it those Highlanders are sky high in pricetags, and that's just the base model ..

    1:38 Unless this seat is occupied by 6-7 years old child there is not enough space there. With an average height driver you're cramped in 2nd row. This is really disappointing.

    • @MrForkliftman
      @MrForkliftman 3 года назад +2

      The drivers seat go back for easy entry. That’s why it looks cramped. If the car was running it would go into the driving position. There is plenty of room behind the drivers seat.

    • @Bart-dg6qv
      @Bart-dg6qv 3 года назад +1

      It wasn't that bad with the price much lover than the competition. Many extra features with lover trims. I really liked it for many years. But this new Pathfinder Platinum cost 50k, where Highlander is 52k. There is no way Nissan can match Toyota with that quality.

      Nissan is getting back to being about quality. Renault is not running things. Japan is in charge of Nissan again. So it will catch up with toyota.
