I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 223,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.
Test drove one today in the Platinum trim, I thought I had made my mind up choosing the Mazda CX-9 Carbon Edition but the Pathfinder was levels above the CX-9 in almost every category, more room, especially in the third row, better equipped, third row air vents and USB ports, I’m 5’10 and fit completely comfortable in the third row, wireless car play, multiple camera angles made parking a breeze, tech wasn’t even close, the only thing Mazda outshines the Pathfinder was on the highway, it passes with ease, the Pathfinder lagged a lil. Good and honest review.
You are right on it! The throttle response is terrible on this pathfinder! But everything else is better than Cx9. But Cx9 feels much faster. The turbo really kicks in on that thing!
I agree. My cx9 gets premium gas so I can get that extra 20 or so HP compared to reg gas. My lease is up soon and I’m contemplating the pathfinder. Small things like no remote start and no pano sunroof bother me as well. The driving dynamic is awesome though and the torque is really high. I need to test drive the pathfinder soon.

Ha!! Well, maybe it’s time for an upgrade? 🤷🏼♂️
Why the heck do they give these big monster vehicles such little power. 350 should be the minimum.
...to move you into the higher brand; in this case, Infiniti. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm positive the QX60/70/80 equivalent will have more power but the same engine.
A pretty good entry when Nissan needed something great
This is not good enough in this competitive class
I think it’ll do really well. Nissan likes to move the metal and I think they’ll incentivize it enough to sell lots of them. Plus, it looks great and that’s important.
I think it is good enough this thing going be Consumers Digest Best Buy.
Not good enough? Lol. It tows 1000 pounds more than the competition, which is needed for comfortably towing many small rvs. It has easy access to third row even with a car seat, has a great awd system, plenty of cargo room, has "wireless" Apple car play, and subjectively looks way better than all the competition. I genuinely wonder what you think is not good enough, bc the way I see it no other car in this category fits the bill.
I think this will do very well, good job Nissan
Still FWD based?
Yup. Want a RWD based Nissan
SUV? Go with an Armada.
@@76carmel they should have built this on the new Frontier platform. I understand WHY they didn't (cost, packaging...etc) but it would have been cool to see the Pathfinder go back to its roots and we could have had a real 4Runner competitor!
@@jackchn23 Nissan had the Xterra which is an off road compact SUV. Now with the Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport, Nissan could bring that vehicle back to complete with Bronco Sport and Jeep's compact Trail Hawk edition vehicles (Cherokee, Compass & Renegade).
As always... A year from now It will be long in the tooth. Hear that all them time from journalists.
You could say that about anything but only time will tell.
Kind of meh from an exterior styling standpoint. Par for the course.
Comments abound about it’s mediocre power, poor suspension, extremely weak A/C, non adjustment passenger seat. These are not ticky-tack issues. Does Nissan think we are gullible and can be swayed by only the cosmetic styling ?! It’s a car and should “function “ properly! I think Nissan engineers are cheaping out on important features
Nissan with no cvt = decent car.
Very thirsty car and unless you need towing the Koreans are doing better vehicles with more tech and more flair. I own the pathfinder and like it but about to change to the Sorrento
Nissan always does things half ass. They’re running Infiniti into the ground.
Not everyone owns or wants to own an apple🙄. Big negative for not mentioning Android for the interface👎!
You're right. I usually do...forgot this time.
Rugged look? Lmao. Another parking lot cruiser. 4Runner is rugged.
Too bad 4Runner is crap.
4Runner is overpriced with a cheap interior.
4Runner Rugged with 1981 technology lmao!
@@stevehammes hahaha I did not expect you to say 4runner is crap lol People don't get this is not competing with 4runner. They want that telluride market.
It's nothing more than a slightly lifted minivan with 4 doors and 4WD. 100% turd mobile.
That's a bigger market than going the offroad route. Maybe xterra will return. Minivans are secretly loved lol
