HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 11 апр 2024
- This is a live emergency update on the potential for a classic southern Plains #tornado outbreak on Monday with a powerful trough ejecting across Colorado and Kansas, exciting potent low-level wind shear and instability ahead of a sharp, bulging dry line! We will have to activate the Dominator 3 for #tornado intercept mode for this storm chase. Please share this video if you know anyone that lives from Oklahoma to Illinois. We will be activating full-blown storm chase mode for this event!

Thank you for these educational updates 😊🙏🏼
No problem! Thank you for tuning in!
This looks big .
Stay safe everyone.
@@ReedTimmerWx All will be easy peasy, quiet and tranquil here in South Central/Southern Illinois come Tuesday. I wouldn't be surprised if the threat gets knocked down to just a marginal risk or all the way down to just general thunderstorms.
My mother’s home was destroyed by the March31st tornado in Arkansas last year! Storm shelter saved their lives.
Right? Saved my fam many times in same area of the state. Each of those famiky members has rough stories, but they lived! Thanks goodness for storm shelters.
Yeah I live here in little rock too I remember getting home and then hearing the sirens go off and I could see the wall cloud of the tornado in the distance
Yeah well us that are to poor to afford them are in trouble probably going to die Tuesday :/
Check with your city. My small city has a public shelter @@Girldev
I wish we had the public shelters here in okc. I feel powerless when this weather comes in.
When Reed says do not panic, the first thing I do is start to panic
As a truck driver that travels all over tornado alley, your forecasts and chasing streams are incredibly helpful for me and many others. Videos like this are a great tool for me when planning my trips. Thanks Reed!
You gotta be busy looking it up during this season 😁have safe travels 🙏
I live in the UK but I am praying for everyone in the threat areas. My prayers and well wishes are with you all. And Reed and the Dominator team please stay safe when you're chasing them.
I live in Kansas, we need the rain. I’m praying that we get some from this system.
I'm in Shawnee Oklahoma, we had a damaging tornado April 19th 2023, everyone is just now recovering from that one. Hope this one just goes around us. Thank you for the prayers.
Do not panic! Reed is going to dominate the storms!
The tornadoes fear Reed Timmer
Don't be scared; be prepared!
Pray for the people in these areas
Thank you I live next to the weather center in Oklahoma and this is a tough place to live when is tornado peak season and if you don't own a house with a shelter then is gets really tough where we live in apartments complex we don't have shelters so you can imagen the stress but thank you once again we would need those prayers
💯
@@YvonneBVidal I can only imagine the stress this time of year. Hopefully you have access to a shelter and a NOAA weather radio.
@@YvonneBVidal As someone in the DFW area, I wholeheartedly agree. Every year is a scare; especially those hatched risk days. Since May 24th, 2011, I've smarted up, own a NOAA radio, and have a place to go for any hatched threat day, since very primed setups for violent tornadoes are no laughing matter.
" maybe i will even intercept Myself" . Reed I BELIEVE YOU. only reed can kick his own ass.
hahaha that was hilarious!
“Maybe I’ll zip by in the Subaru and intercept myself as well “ I couldn’t help but laugh you are a brave man Reed we appreciate all the hard work you do
I live literally a mile from where the F3 Tornado hit last April 4th just outside of Bryant, Illinois. We will be watching!
We were about .25 miles from the May 28th 2019 E-F4 Tornado in Lawrence Kansas - where the first rocket was successfully shot into a tornado. We're watching this one closely.
Thank you for keeping everyone weather aware & safe, Reed. Boops to Gizmo💛✨
When Reed says don't panic don't panic he's the tornado whisperer but If u see him in your town I'd panic😅
I can always count on Reed to give a quality update on the latest severe weather in the nation. Will be watching for Reed and Dominator 3 to ! Go Team Dominator!🎉
Western Oklahoma ( my old abode) is usually wild with it's extreme weather this time of year.. I have never seen softball size hail any where but there... tornado's, OKC..😮
I'm just NE of downtown KC and definitely keeping my eye on this. This is the first year of keeping up with the storm prediction center constantly and other storm chasers to have a better idea of what is coming. In 2022 I got caught in being asleep while the sirens rang and the rush to get to the basement. Staying informed now.
A Derecho blew through my town in 2015, the winds were clocked at 115mph. I slept through the whole thing., that's when I made the decision to become a SkyWarn storm spotter. First took the course in 2016, have been taking it yearly since then. I am also certified in Advanced training and do a lot of independent study and video watching with reputable storm chasers.
May 28, 2019 is a day I never want to experience again. The rain, we will take the rain, but I've paid my tornado dues for living in tornado alley.
Will be watching from Carthage, MO😊
Northwest Arkansas, watching with you. Stay safe!
Stay safe out there folks and N... S... C!
Wow! I'm in Wichita Ks. Can't wait to see the live storm chase Reed. I'm definitely going to be tuned in for the weather. Thanks, Reed and Team. NSC NSC NSC!
Thanks for the update reed.
Concerned me a bit how you said the models look similar to May 2019 which was the only time since living in Oklahoma for 30 years, that a tornado went through my neighborhood. 😳
That's just the reality of living here though, and I still wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
Hope this doesn't turn into another Greensburg, Moore, or Joplin...I guess we'll see if everything verifies, but looks kinda scary.
Its been pretty active this year so far, feels like ole tornado alley is back in the swing of things. I love severe weather season but I don't want to see peoples lives on the line. Its still a tad early for peak season in KS. Makes me wonder what May will bring.
Dont worry bro those kinds of tornados are very veeery rare i wouldnt worry too much. Besides even then the chances of a tornado of that magnitude is rare and hasnt happened in over a decade. (Though some have come close) So i wouldnt sweat it just pay attention to the forecast and youll be fine bro
@@calebkent6706 Historically speaking, we have been in quite a lull in activity in KS. Over the past decades show a pretty regular up/down trend that looks perfectly like waves. Almost in every example after the minimum has bottomed out, theres been a significant spike in activity. It is pretty close to being about 10yrs between peaks. Just off patterns in peak years, so far, 2024 is following right in-line. Its only a matter of time and I think our time is up again. Hold on to your butts...
Love from Georgia. We had one here about a mile away in Conyers. I know there’s many weather channels on here but you’re the only one I really trust. Others give people weather anxiety in my opinion but you don’t do that. We appreciate you and Gizmo! Fellow dog lover here sir. Thanks again.
Thank you, Reed and company. Good to know.
Hi Reed! Couldn't believe you and your team intercepted that tornado in Louisiana that was really scary. Glad you all ok. In Evansville 2 wks ago we had some tree damage power lines down, my friends street got major damage on the west side of town. Had no power for about a wk. Every time I see severe weather I see MOORE, OK in that 30%. Remember 1999 and 2013. Ef5 both times. I was born in Wichita Falls,TX DAD was in the AF was stationed in SHEPPARD AFB from 1962-1969.
Thank you I'm in Norman Oklahoma my 1 son lives in Texas 1 son lives here in Norman close to me and my other son lives in Moore Oklahoma so im worry for 3 locations and my sons only takes weather serious if i tell them because i follow only 2 of the best weather people you and another youtuber he is pretty detailed as well lile you please all of you be safe we depend on you to have a better weather information without you we wouldn't be here knowing so much and there is still lots and lots to learn ao please be safe Thank You for everything 😊❤
Thank you Dr Timmer! Long time fan and 1981 graduate from San Jose State meteorology program 😊
never stop not panicking 🌪
May 20th 2019 will forever be the biggest weather bust of all time.
Thank you Reed! ❤
I'll be watching! (amateur analyst) though pretty proud of myself this past week 99% accuracy 30 min before any tornado warnings came out through the multiple states. Weather is a ginormous lifelong passion for me 😊
Central OK here. Thank you Reed for the update. Praying for all of us in the area.
Hello Dr Reed Timmer 😊Thank you for the forecast during the amazing tornado season.
is that don't panic over the weather or don't panic for me whos in the uk and often ends up late in bed cuz of Reed lol. if i suffer from sleep issues, i will be diagnosed with Reeditus lol
You’re so lucky you have the means and knowledge to see all these tornadoes Reed. Ever since surviving Hurricane Andrew as a little Kid I’ve had an obsession with severe weather and always wanted to see a big wedge out in the plains. Maybe one day 🤞🏻
With Reed's deep experience with this subject, he's becoming a Meteorological Historian of Classic MegaTrough Ejections for potential Mass Tornadic Outbreaks. Giving people up to a week to prepare.
Thanks for all you do reed!
You were spot on yesterday about the NC piedmont. EF-1 in Wilkes county early last night.
keep on being amazing Dr Timmer.
I live near Alta Vista where chasers documented a strong tornado a couple of weeks ago. Will be weather aware.
If you listen carefully, you can hear Reed screaming from the future.
You are so funny you need to launch some kind of YT comedy series
@@ReedTimmerWx, just having fun, Reed :-) You're a freakin' legend! Btw, your Andover drone footage might just be THE most amazing footage in all of science. Absolutely INCREDIBLE.
Thanks for this....a bit of feedback. It was mostly "over my head". Id would be helpful to include some educational training videos on this stuff during the off season possibly. I wouldn't expect yall to have the time now during chase season, but it would make some good content for those interested in the details of what you were saying. Not sure what audience your targeting, so figured id throw my 2 cents out there. Again....really enjoy the channel!
Oh wow definetly violent tornadoes likely with that kind of trough ejection and the wind shear.
Scary stuff. You’re amazing. Thank you for helping us stay prepared!!!!! You are amazing and a life saver.
Thanks, Reed !! Anytime you need a seat filled, I will be there. Tech savvy and a weather geek. Stay safe.
Thank you so much from Oklahoma City.
Thank you, Sir. I appreciate you breaking these down for us.
Thank you for all you do Reed..! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I figured with those glorious 80 degree days coming next week we would see storms. Thanks Reed I'll give everyone a heads up. Stay safe out there DOMINATING.
Thanks so much Reed`!!!!!
God, I hope not. I dealt with a tornado on April 4th, 2023 in Lewistown, IL.
Stay safe everyone Never Stop Chasing
Is it just my phone or is Reed talking at super fast speed 😂🤣 it’s too early for me to keep up on replay. It’s my phone on 2x.
Haters gonna hate, but Reed's gonna Reed.
Thanx for the heads up Reed! God bless from lake Elsworth in Sw Oklahoma!
Thanks for the update
The G.O.A.T.
Dont be nervous Reed, you are gonna dominate these storms 💪🏼
Incredible emergency broadcast Reed Timmer Ph. D
Thanks for the fantastic updates. Detailed, timely, and educational.
You think a high risk is possible next week? I definitely think a solid moderate risk will be issued.
People seems to get excited for this kind of weather but unless you live outside of the tornado alley area and are not versed with this weather on a spring year bases then you will understand that I hate this time of year especially living in north Texas and almost getting hit by a tornado as it was going down Royal across 75 to Forest LN while I was driving home one evening. I was literally in front of the tornado and had no idea it was not far behind me.
Yeah severe weather season in tornado alley is full of anxiety every year for me. Feels like each year I get lucky to come out unscathed.
Thumbs up 👍🏼 for the updates!
Not again...
Reed, you have to be in the dominator 3. It wouldn't feel right if you weren't!
You've built up instinct and muscle memory, yes? Always know where you can take shelter.
Reed Timmer, the "Chuck Norris of Twisters!" 🥋
I love how active it’s been gonna be a fun ride this year
Oh, by the way, I really enjoy your weather reports….
Dang. There was a tornado warning last night around Mount Airy and a watch 30mins northbound on I81 from me , now there’s gonna be an outbreak again. I wish y’all in the bad areas good luck!
I live in Lawrence ks so good to know what’s coming our way
Thank you reed good video and update can’t wait to see you in the Dom 3
Thanks again, Reed, for your continued monitoring and expertise in keeping us all safe. Question for you, do you see any severe weather from this system affecting Eastern and Southeast Nebraska including the Omaha or Lincoln areas?
Crap, I'm in Lawton Oklahoma! Better get the storm shelter teady😮
Reed will be dominating in my neighborhood
TY....I'm in Grove ok N E corner of Oklahoma
Noooooo I wanted to plant stuff in the garden on Monday 😢
Great information!! I found it all so interesting!! Thanks Reed!!
i wish i was in America to see a tornado, but I live in Australia and was in the gold coast tornado in a caravan but it was to dark to see the tornado and lost our gazebo when I got my phone to record but it was very fun though I recommend staying in a caravan with 200 km winds it was fun I had a blast on Christmas lol.
I’m in the Chicago area. This doesn’t sound good. We just had a bunch of ef0 and ef1 tornados recently. Pretty sure reed was there. One tornado was a block from me. Saw the NWS the next day doing their evaluations (which was really cool to checkout after it went online).
Hopefully this isn’t round 2, but much worse.
I'm glad you keep us informed. Please drive by house❤❤❤
Thank You Reed!
Thx Reed!!! Huge fan, since the TV show days years back when was watching Nat Geo and the "tiv" mobile dopler etc. Loved Tim Samaras (RIP) as I'm a professional photographer and cinematographer and a pilot and wx enthusiast!!! Studied meteorology for years and in college as I'm fascinated by extreme wx!! Really enjoy watching your live streaming now!!!
Aloha from beautiful Hawaii

0:34 May 20, 2019 was when I got to see my first tornado up close in NE Kansas as it narrowly missed out house, proceeding in a NE direction reaching EF3 rating
Hopefully it's not going to be too bad but it's to be expected this time of year
appreciate the information
I received a prophetic download regarding this (and perhaps a few more) before I found out a meteorologist in Oklahoma confirmed what I didn't know! I don't live in Oklahoma and I had no idea their tornado drought was over!
South-Central KS Skywarn, at the ready!
Hi everyone! Hi Reed! Missed the live. That's ok, I was actually getting some work done, lol.
I am Jonesin for some more storm chasing. had a bad one overnight in the NE on Martha's Vineyard. no boats today.
Well I’m in Hays Kansas so I hope to see you tomorrow! 😂🤙🏼
Looks like we'll be clear of it where I live. I hope it brings some rain though!
Good morning all.
Hopefully out of Arkansas!
F1 went over us a week ago in MO. Ajuster not even coming 'til after this event.
Hello Reed -- It Sounds Like Another - April 3 , 1974 - Super Outbreak Tornadoes - I - Remember ' 74 -- Talk About Bad - and Yes Or Another 2011 Like You Said - By The Way Very Good Video - You Make Educational Thanks
Thank you for the upload! I have my designated underground shelter should there be a 10% hatched risk for strong tornadoes in Dallas.
Sweet stash, Reed! 😎
I kinda wish you would back up west so we would get something in the panhandle of Texas. We still need moisture really bad.
It could just be me but the weather seems to be acting strange as of late.
