Heck yes I would eat all of that! Can't wait to return in November. I'm American, this will be my 4th India trip in 3 years. If anybody has any other great places to eat or photograph in Mumbai, please let me know. I'll be there for several days. I was there before but only saw Bandra West, and the southern area (Fort, Colaba, Chhatrapati). Thanks!

I have been visiting this restaurant off and on, for many years now - for dining. They have authentic and reasonably priced, south Indian food. However, recently I got a hair strand in the medu Vada - Rasam dish. Although I did not point it immediately to the owners of the restaurant, because I didn't wanted to tarnish their image or so, however I pointed this at the time of making payment (I ordered 3-4 dishes along with Kaapi - their trademark coffee). The owners assured me that had I poured immediately, the. The dish would have been replaced. And that the restaurant does take utmost care of hygiene and cleanliness. I told them that the hair strand was in the Medu Vada, as opposed to the owners belief that it may have fallen from somewhere inside the rasam. Anyways the owners know me, and therefore he assured me that they will take care of this in future. I did not feel like making a fuss out of this, however the restaurant is good with authentic and delicious south Indian food. These things may happen once in a while and it is a matter of chance also. I did not want to tarnish the image of this restaurant, by pointing out the hair strand being inside the Medu vada. Anyways I do recommend this restaurant for anybody who is fond of South Indian food. Even at home cooked food these things may happen, however, it is best to have gone cooked food, and limit one's visit to outside eateries and restaurants , which should not be too.much (because of the excess oil, ghee and salt which is used in almost all restaurants

What's the difference between uttapam and set dosa?
Uttappam is similar to dosa where the batter is spread into a thicker round than dosa while set dosa means 2 dosas.
Set dosa they won't add oil or ghee

We have seen you grow but I doubt whether anyone of those sitting in cash counters remembers his customers.they are purely business oriented and don't remember faces.this I tell you from my experience of living in matunga since 1937 ..over 80 years. But brahmin hotels earlier to madras Cafe anand Bhuvan udipi which don't exist now know there customers well even after they have closed their business.
