At 1:50 when he plays 16-18-19 on the high B string you hear the notes C#, D#, and E. But those strings at that fret should give D#, F, and F#. So the video of him playing and what you're hearing are not the same take.
I'd wager that 90% of covers of this quality are pre-recorded and then overdubbed with the video. I don't think there's anything wrong with it as long as it's him recording it all.
