The part where he mentions that not everyday goes exactly the same. I love that he is honest and is not acting like a perfectionist, which is difficult to be. Another reason to love his videos
1. Wake up naturally 2. Drink water 3. Stretch until no stiffness 4. Review days plan 5. Meditate / clean 6. Gym or run (aerobic) 7. Water 8. Deep work after desk cleanup, removing distraction 9. Start timer
Hi!!! I am trying to get my sh** together and your videos are helping a lot. I love the way you explain with simplicity and clarity and the animations. It is so clear and easy to understand and nice to watch! Thank you so much!
Glad you're getting value from my videos! However you need to remember that action is required. Gathering information and consuming content is easy, but if you really want to improve, you have to start actively making changes. I wish you the best of luck on your journey of self-improvement :)
When I wake up I take a deep breath, I smile and think about all the great things in my life. I don't leave any bad thought come into my mind, because I want to start the day with positive mental energy. Then I jump out of bed and I drink my proteins. I take the dog for a walk and then I train for at least 15 mins (every day). I take a shower and then I start my job. Last year I read "The Compound Effect" book and this helped me to change something to achieve a better life and to improve my job.
I write my to do list the night before, so when I wake up my schedule for the day is ready.

A great habit to add is a yesterday night habit. These habits make your mornings even more pleasant. For example: always make sure your sink is empty and clean before you go to sleep. This eliminates incentives to bugs and gives you a clean working space for the morning's breakfast or lack thereof. If you enjoy washing dishes, do not leave them dirty over night but instead looking forward to your lunch washing routine. Just like you fill your water cup every night similarly there are routines for the night which can give you a head start. Pack your bags, choose your clothing for the next day and set them aside, and even write a todo list for the next day. This all takes less than 15-20 minutes.
I was going to add a suggestion like this too but you said it all. I was surprised how many people have clean on their morning list. I want to wake up to a fresh start so before bed I make sure the sink is empty, clear surfaces (counter, coffee table and when I had children at home, pick up the things that fall to the floor), and hang up any clothes from the day). That way my starting position in my home is one of pleasantness and not the things I didn't do.
Loved those words: " It doesn't matter if I miss a day as long as I'm generally sticking to it (routine)". Thanks for sharing your nice morning routine ❤
It's really a great routine. I tried a routine for 10 days and it's really very productive, unfortunately I couldn't able to be consistent. But again I'm trying to restart the same routine. My daily routine is. 1.Waking up (5 AM), adjust my bed sheet. 2.Brushing 3.Exercise for 20 minutes minimum 4.Bath 5.Start doing the hardest work in the first 2 hours. 6.Breakfast 7.Again start doing the 2nd hardest work in the next 4 hours. 8.taking 1 hour break for lunch. 9.Again start doing the minimal important things for 2 hours. 10.Taking 1 hour break for entertainment. 11.Again restarting the least important work for 1 hour. 12.Having Dinner 13.Doing 1 hour work and 1 hour for planning to next day tasks, progress, self talk. 14.Ready for Sleeping (9:30 PM) 15.Sleeping (around 10 PM) All this did in 24 hours only, productive hours are around 8 hours excluding breaks for every 25 minutes. I follow pomodoro technique. for every 3 promodoros, I will take 10 minutes long break. for 2 hours 25 minutes break. 95 minutes productive. It is really very effective, I tried my best to follow the same consistently but I broke it one time then it became worst routine again. So, again I'm trying to restart the same. I could able to achieve doing exercise everyday as a routine, now this is my 2nd goal. If we can do anything for 21 days, it will become our habit. I strongly believe it after my first success. I even didn't believe that I can make exercise as my daily routine in this life 😊😊😊 Definitely I should thank this channel and some other channels which helped me a lot to set these kind of goals and getting more confident in life and being more productive and being better than yesterday😊
The last bit is really useful, whenever I missed my morning ritual, I feel very upset, it reduces my performance a lot during the day which made me feel even more upset at the end of the day. I like your idea of saying someday we might not have the control over ourself but as long as we are consistent with it, then we're all good, it's the nature of life anyway, we should embrace it.
I do almost the exact same thing. I like to add in a writing session. Oftentimes what I write is what I call wwwd. What worked? What didn't? Where I review the events that transpired the day before and decide what I want to change today/ what changes need to be made in general to get the results I want.
Very helping ! Thanks ! I myself found out that, even though meditation during the middle of the day is a good break, it is more important that it is part of my morning routine, since it puts me in a good mood prior to interacting with other people. And/or before sleeping as well, since it helps me to relax and fall asleep faster.
I'm always changing my routine but it's currently like this: - breakfast - washing the dishes / house chores - read - practice a little of an instrument I play (guitar or keyboard) - do small work tasks (I'm a music producer) or some quick study - start the most difficult task / which takes the longest and if possible finish it before lunch. If you don't finish, I'll continue after lunch. - lunch - More tasks that don't require as much effort - running, jumping rope or some kind of exercise (at least 3x a week) - Shower - rest a little - dinner - Spend time with family - study After that it's time to have some fun, play a video game, watch something on Netflix or RUclips and get ready for bed. 1 or 2 hours before bed I no longer use my cell phone. I wake up around 9 am and go to sleep at most 1 am. Sometimes before doing the exercises I like to take a power nap or meditate.
One of the best channels on RUclips and the ONLY one for which I have 'bought a cup of coffee'. I immediately pick up my phone to read the headlines. It is not the content of the news that benefits me. It is the light (I wake up before sunrise) and the mere activity that helps to wake me.
My routine is like I wake up at 4:20 then I listen current affairs for one hour then at 5:30 I do bodywork then I cook oats for breakfast then after 2 hours of study I take my breakfast this is my morning routine.
I always have to eat breakfast in the morning, otherwise I'm starving during work and I can't focus. Especially since I'm on my feet all day, I need to eat. It's usually rice, some kind of soup, a protein (eggs or fish usually, but sometimes I'll have beef instead), and a vegetable or two. Ever since I started eating like this, I feel much more awake but not overly full.
This is truly the best self development channel i have ever seen .... Definitely helped me alot. I am watching one or two videos per day and try to implement everything (sometimes with my own tweaks) daily.
The things u mention are natural calls, u can't put a clock on it, they don't come under routine. it is very unhealthy anyway to delay the natural process.
If you're a student then don't do your workout at morning because after this you will be so tired to focus. Do it at noon and take your shower. Eat more proteins in lunch. And I love your every videos man ⚡
This is great if you're working from home and can plan your time by yourself. For other people, for example some that work at different times, unfortunately it's not very useful.
Wow the stretching and the glass of water is genius. I just tried it this morning. I woke up exactly 5 minutes ago and was quite tired when I woke up, but after having a glass of water and stretching a bit I’m not tired at all
Affirmations are waste if u don't do anything out of this positive energy. I mean just feel n feel better but not implementing it into work. I used to do it felt really good bt of no use . Now I just do 1 thing after I wake up ..I thank the supreme power for 3 most important in my life n then start with exercise and study ..n improve everyday by taking actions ,working on myself . 😊
My # struggle in life is getting a good night of sleep b/c I wake up at night to pee, and that gets me to wake up in the am feeling very unrested. Apart from that, I’ll get up, pee (again), weight myself, have a 16oz water bottle, brush my teeth, get my lunch box ready for work, shower, get dressed n go. These are habits I’ve developed so I now do these things naturally. I enjoy working out, so this week I’ve added a new morning habit , which is to use my pull-up bar to hang on to and decompress my back for 1 min, then another 1 min to strengthen my abs. Anyways, my point is after watching ur stacking stacks habits I feel like adding more routine habits one new habit at a time. Thank You! Your vids are awesome!
Oh shut up! This means you are SPOT ON and I totally needed to hear this. Thankyou. Please keep these comming. I’m 60 and have been chasing my tail because of bad habits for years. Someday I feel God will say to me, I’ve given you everything. What did you do with it? This always paralyzes me into not doing the “things”. . All the good things. I need self discipline and inside have always craved it. But ALSO that word discipline is also paralyzing. This is COMPASSIONATE and taps into that inner “better person” constantly being choked out by all the weeds.
Like your body gets dehydrated after sleep it's same with energy + nuetritions. If you feel focus level is going down after breakfast then experiment with your diet. They say breakfast is your most important meal. Skipping it is the bad idea. 😒 Not cool bro, not cool!
@@shingalas actually nowadays that 'most import meal' myth is pretty much disproven. Check out intermittant fasting research (usually a 16 hours fast between dinner and breakfast/lunch). Studies now suggest that the effects of regular fasting optimize human performance and physiological function, possibly slowing the processes of aging and disease. So cool bro, very cool.
@@dimebucker2 There are many researches out there about different food, eating habits and fasting. All people are different so are the food habits & lifestyles. For many fasting on regular basis makes sense. However I believe that we should listen to signals from our own bodies. If we are thirsty we should drink. If we feel like emptying waste then we should go for it. Same logic applies to the food! Simple logic which drives all living beings :) PS: They also say 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'. Does it? ;)
Hi, I live in Madrid and really enjoy and take the most of your videos, I am really grateful to you. For my daily tasks and using an adapt version of your Pomodoro techinque, I have bought a good analogic timer, I recomend it : HOMMINI Count up/down. Have a good day
I had a problem with snoozing/social media/staying in bed for long hours. So I'll wake up, immediately I make my bed. This tells my mind that bedtime is over. Count my blessings. Then take a short run (If i have time), shower, think on my short and long term goals, write down my tasks for the day, schedule my tasks, take tea as I listen to something motivational, then get into my day. Takes me 1.5 hours.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I don't have a morning routine, at least not in the weekend. But I'm going to try and make one for myself. Thanks again for this usefull information.
I try to drink water, but sometimes I forget. I don't really notice it making a difference though. I'm surprised you don't eat at all though. I do like to eat a little something as I am more hungry than thirsty when I wake up although I've heard nothing, but positive things about drinking water when you wake up. I'll keep trying!
From a sports science perspective, stretching is not beneficial for injury prevention and can reduce the power the muscles can produce during exercise e.g. running. Overstretching can also cause joint injuries
So.. no kids right? ;) My morning routine is about changing diapers, accommodating 27 ever-changing breakfast plans, wearing shorts for t-shirts and then finding new innovative ways to convince kids to go to kindergarden. And then it's 6:30 AM.. :) Still, there are ways to make things the way you want them to be : read articles while giving the baby his milk, listening to podcasts while walking to the kindergarden (my kids usually stay silent enjoying the stroller ride), etc... It forces creativity, and they bring a lot of joy to the day!
1. Wake Up, Make My Bed, Get Dressed & Brush My Teeth 2. Clean The Living Space 3. Have Tea 4. Go For A 30 Min. Run 5. Cold Shower 6. Meditate 7. Read and/or Work
I visualized your routine as you listed them. They're very practical and helpful. Thanks for the wonderful advice you give to your audience. I think your amazing.
It is 3:30am and I am watching this video right now. A lot of people think I am up late, but that is not true. My alarm clock goes off at 2am. I go to the bathroom, and come back to bed to pray with my wife. It is a regular prayer list on index cards, and it takes all of 2 minutes. Then, I go out to the living room where I have my office, and I do 30 push-ups. (1st day it took me 7 starts to get all 30. Now, I can do 20, then 10) Then, I take a shower, and get dressed. I get a cup of coffee and go out front to look at the sky, the mountains, the neighborhood... Then I get to my desk and begin what I call my actual Work Day. I sit at my desk, and go through a different prayer list, which includes a lot of questions like, How do I take the next step in the book I am writing. This sets my mind to answering that question, which allows me to turn my mind (non-physical) into many workers who all go out doing all my research for me. After prayer, I read a chapter from Proverbs or Ecclesiastes; mainly to stay familiar with the voice of God. Then, I do something along the lines of continuing education. That typically means watching a RUclips video on some business topic, or something somewhat closely related. Which is where I am right now. When I finish this video, my work day will end. Then, my free time begins. It is during my free time that I do most of the actual tasks that will build my wealth. For a perfect example, I just finished watching this video, which means my "Dark Blue Time" is over (I used dark blue construction paper to indicate this "work time" on a chart I made a while back). That means my actual work day is over, and my Light Blue Time begins. That was the color I used to represent my free time, defined as time nobody else has any claim on, direct or indirect. So, my alarm clock sounded to indicate the transition from Nighttime to Morning at 2am. Now, as I finish my Dark Blue work time (Mornings and Evenings are yellow, for anyone who might have been curious) I can move into my free time. I look at the clock and see that it is now 3:53am. So, within 2 hours, I woke up, did my morning routine, went to work, and completed it, all within the space of 2 hours. Now, I will officially declare that my work day is over, and can begin doing whatever I want to do with My Day. Today, this means getting back to the book I am writing. I spend most of my light blue time working on it the last few weeks.
I think this routine is for a freelancer or working from home or being your own boss but if you are an employee you have to wake up really early to do all of that.
Best routine Ive ever seen. It mirrors closely to what I do so thanks for the confirmation. And the meditation in the middle of the day...Great idea! I will try that. i like that you added that it is not always possible to do this. Thank you! Great video
Thanks to your videos I want to change the way I live my life. I'm a student and I am very very lazy. I like to procrastinate especially in finishing my hw until I regretted doing it. But slowly I'm changing and hopefully I can achieve in being a more productive person. Wish me luck😁
thanks for sharing this buddy! in my experience, 90% of our foods today can give us alot of mental illness and physical too, on that note, you can avoid gluten, and high fatty foods, cook some useful veggies with organic rice, and watch yourself fly after eating :D
tl;dr: getting up early enough to care for yourself before you go out there caring for others. At least that's what changed everything for me. For the first 32 years of my life, I had the most trouble with getting up early (I spent 6 years working nights, because I thought that's what comes naturally to me). Now that I'm 33, I've figured out that I always slept too much. I start work (joiner) at 7, so I get up at 4am (after going to bed around 10pm), hit the gym, come home for a shower and breakfast, a nice cup of coffee while playing some hearthstone, then head to the workshop at around 6:30. I get there and I'm the most awake, the most energetic, get shit done after work, etc. Chores used to be insurmountable hurdles, looming over my head like the proverbial sword of damocles, now I just get them done quickly and then enjoy what free time is left in the day. If I didn't have to work 8.5 hours every day, that would probably be more than an hour, but few people can enjoy the luxury of not living to work to live. I still enjoy my social life during the weekend, and working a physically demanding job I'm knackered in the evening (8pm+) anyway.
The things you describe sound good and practical to start the day with. But...it seems that most hours gå on preparing for work - when is the actual work taking place?
This channel is gold! Just a couple of things I disagree on or don’t understand with this video. Firstly, the skipping breakfast part I think is not good. I often have just a banana for breakfast. It doesn’t weigh me down, but it gives my body and mind a little boost. Secondly caffeine is baaad - for me just one cup of coffee in the evening means I wake up at night, I have sinus (breathing) problems in the night, my body feels like electricity is running through it and my muscles can’t relax, and I run the risk of sitting on the toilet all morning or having a severe migraine attack when I wake up. Even though most people aren’t so sensitive, I am sure it may be affecting a person’s health in some way and they haven’t made the connection. The third thing is your morning routine sounds fantastic but even though I get up at 6:00 am, by the time I have done everything on your list before starting “work” the morning would be over! I am usually tired in the morning (I have sleep apnea) and couldn’t possibly do all what you do, certainly not chores, first thing in the morning. But I really appreciate all the tips anyway, especially about the water and the five minute stretch.
I Love what you got here! However, if you stretch in the morning be sure to warm up your muscle by bouncing on you toe first. Think of it like this... when you put a rubber band in the freezer (your muscle fibers after you wake up) and stretch it, the rubber band breaks. It’s important to warm up first. Other than that this morning routine I’m definitely implement drinking water to my routine!
I feel often that all the hard work and effort I place in, no matter how much of a habit every day I have, I feel miserable that there isn't a pat on the back to show for it, something I could never give myself.
Love your videos, I too found that setting myself a goal but breaking it down into short segments and then having a rest worked so well for me, I was so surprised by how much I got done during the day. I apply this to most of what I do now.
I had a productivity streak of about a month and a half and yes i admit having a morning routine helped a lot... it sort of just made everything fall into place... and to a great extent it was quite similar to yours, but i wish i incoporated the glass of water and the daily planning cause i eventually fell out of routine due to morning fatigue.
The part where he mentions that not everyday goes exactly the same. I love that he is honest and is not acting like a perfectionist, which is difficult to be. Another reason to love his videos
1. Wake up naturally
2. Drink water
3. Stretch until no stiffness
4. Review days plan
5. Meditate / clean
6. Gym or run (aerobic)
7. Water
8. Deep work after desk cleanup, removing distraction

This is great information to live by, especially during perilous time! thank you !
Great !
A good morning routine can really set the productivity tone for the rest of the day. Great tips
Meditating in the morning is dangerous! The risk of going back to sleep is too great! LOL
Thank you for your video. Yes a morning routine saves lives lol
You definitely read the book "deep work"! Great video!
Before I've had breakfast I can't focus on anything 😂
Personally, a SMALL bowl of oatmeal and an apple. There's no lethargic response. It takes a total of 5 minutes. It gives me internal balance. Try it
Individuality
Simple logic which drives all living beings :)
PS: They also say 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'. Does it? ;)
Everything he says really matches with the reality. He is really inspiring. Great job.
Hi, I live in Madrid and really enjoy and take the most of your videos, I am really grateful to you. For my daily tasks and using an adapt version of your Pomodoro techinque, I have bought a good analogic timer, I recomend it : HOMMINI Count up/down. Have a good day
I Love all your videos keep them coming please!
Thanks. Like the review graphic at end.
It won't make a difference right away, but after about 30-45 minutes. Our bodies can't rehydrate instantly. Good luck!

No kids! If that was the case my day would look way different :)
True!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol
@@BetterThanYesterday I had the same question in mind but Jean has already asked it. I'm jealous with your peaceful morning routine!!!!
Great advice will try your routine
being this put-together is like a fantasy to me lmao
it's not being put-together but putting it together.
I LOVED this video. I will make sure to implement the suggestions. Thank you so much!
1. Wake Up, Make My Bed, Get Dressed & Brush My Teeth
2. Clean The Living Space
3. Have Tea
4. Go For A 30 Min. Run
5. Cold Shower
6. Meditate
7. Read and/or Work
Personally, usually start the day with 5 minute relaxation exercise
I visualized your routine as you listed them. They're very practical and helpful. Thanks for the wonderful advice you give to your audience. I think your amazing.
It is 3:30am and I am watching this video right now.
A lot of people think I am up late, but that is not true. My alarm clock goes off at 2am. I go to the bathroom, and come back to bed to pray with my wife. It is a regular prayer list on index cards, and it takes all of 2 minutes.
Then, I go out to the living room where I have my office, and I do 30 push-ups.
(1st day it took me 7 starts to get all 30. Now, I can do 20, then 10)
Then, I take a shower, and get dressed.
When I feel unmotivated, I pick one video from your channel and watch. Works perfectly every time ~ hahahaha
Thanks man, these videos seem to help and your advices are great too!
Thank you! Great video
Interesting routine. Thanks for sharing. Got some good tips.
Thanks to your videos I want to change the way I live my life. I'm a student and I am very very lazy. I like to procrastinate especially in finishing my hw until I regretted doing it. But slowly I'm changing and hopefully I can achieve in being a more productive person. Wish me luck😁
Great routine... motivates me to follow
Awesome production value!
This is my favorite, I used this video to learn English, I watched 100 times. Thank Better Than Yesterday page.
thanks for sharing this buddy!
in my experience, 90% of our foods today can give us alot of mental illness and physical too,
on that note, you can avoid gluten, and high fatty foods, cook some useful veggies with organic rice, and watch yourself fly after eating :D
If I could, I'd give a million 👍 to this vid! Thanks man! From the bottom of my heart. New subbie!
You r awesome dude
tl;dr: getting up early enough to care for yourself before you go out there caring for others.
I still enjoy my social life during the weekend, and working a physically demanding job I'm knackered in the evening (8pm+) anyway.
i love your morning routine, as mine is very similar. you gave good basis for each routine. thanks!
Great stuff! Always to look and practice your video!
Your videos always inspire 👍🏻
Thank you for some amazing insights.
The things you describe sound good and practical to start the day with. But...it seems that most hours gå on preparing for work - when is the actual work taking place?
Thank u, you are so precious to me. All of your tips are well explained and really effective.
Thank you !
Thank you so much.
It's Awasome!
Wow that technique at the end sounds insane
THANK YOU !!!!!
I love this. New sub.
No words god bless
Great thank you for video
Thank you for such great wisdom
I feel often that all the hard work and effort I place in, no matter how much of a habit every day I have, I feel miserable that there isn't a pat on the back to show for it, something I could never give myself.
I would suggest that you clean and prepare your desk in the evening.
Love your videos, I too found that setting myself a goal but breaking it down into short segments and then having a rest worked so well for me, I was so surprised by how much I got done during the day. I apply this to most of what I do now.
This is really a fantastic message....thx a lot....
Thank a lot sir ..😍😍
Thank you for the useful video!
