Can I ask you a question please. Did you put downpipes without tune? How about check engine light?
Bro add a stage 2 93 octane tune from bm3 and you’ll hit anywhere from 500-545whp with the tune/downpipe/intake/inter cooler. Then add stage 2 pure turbos and you’ll hit close to 650whp add some meth injection and you’ll close in at about 680whp. I have a f82 m4, non cs and mine is hitting around 720whp with a custom tune from f80paul

That car doesn't seem strapped down properly. I believe better results would have been achieved if the wheels were in full contact.
@Mcarguy Guys... I thought it's common knowledge by now... Dyno Dynamics ALWAYS reads 12%-15% lower than the standard Dynojet... He's pushing 500+
The dyno run was jank. The car obviously wasn't strapped down properly. Your car shouldn't inch forward on the dyno lol, it should just squat in place under load

Cs always sound nice. Shorten or lengthen tail pipes may get slight differsnce in sound .

It does. My cousin has an m4 , and I have 435i stage 2 with MMPE. And my 435i sounds way better. I love the M4 but BMW could have widened the down pipe little bet more for better sound. Still a stunning machine, I have driven both.
Any BMW sounds better than the current gen stock M3/4. And I say that as a F80 M3 owner.

Amazing color but sadly the sound is just a louder lawnmower. I have tried 4 different exhaust combos on this car and finally settled for the M Perf Exhast with the AA Mid-Pipes. Takes away most of that raspiness. And the cold start delete took care of the lawn mower startup.
try Fi exhaust , it is the best for the 3.0l BMW
What about stock
AA mid pipe made all the difference on my M4 along with my Milltek exhaust. Any of the twin mid pipe set ups that replicate OEM just sound shit.
I have a AA midpipe with non M-Performance exhaust. Thinking of going akra or vrsf downpipe...dont know what i want yet

My assumption, is with the new downpipe he will need a tune. For it to be making stock power with the downpipe upgrade is very disappointing. I know it was not cheap
Ye you are right there is signficant power increase if combined with tune, they make about 525bhp with akrapovic downpipes and standard exhaust. Litchfield recommend getting map
Cars these days are controlled by computers and simply adjust how they run regardless of bolt ons. What he may experience that the video can’t show is throttle response and faster spool from the turbos even if the power made stays the same.
@@dragngt Not true. If the parameters for air flow etc exceed what's standard set up it will throw a CEL. Throttle response is now electronically controlled. So, without a tune there is no way to open the throttle more, nor sooner to effectively improve those neither. For the turbos to spool faster, they need more air passing through or less back pressure. There might be a small gain there but it will not be anything significant. In fact the car might pull timing for the potential lean condition that is persives.

@Mcarguy I wasn't talking to you first of all idiot. PS or BHP ISNT FUCKING WHP! BHP AND PS IS CRANK HORSEPOWER! It did not make stock power, it made way OVER stock power than what was claimed from the manufacturer. Rear wheel drive cars have a 15% drivetrain loss, so it making 455 WHEEL HORSEPOWER translates to 523.25 PS!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck how are you people in comment sections acting smart?

@@AM4N18 bhp as in Base Horsepower? Honestly it's meaningless to state bhp because that's not the power you're putting down. A 400bhp fwd will beat a 400bhp awd because of parasitic loss. I had my Evo tuned on a Dyno dynamics. 291awhp. On a Dyno jet would be about 350.
@@DiscoWalrus I mean horsepower at the engine, or as the americans say "crank horsepower". I believe over in America they like to use whp, whereas in the Evolve and Surrey Rolling Road videos I've seen on RUclips they like to quote their numbers at the engine.
I suppose on a dyno though you are looking at the differences before and after a mod for example. Whether its whp or bhp doesn't matter so much, its making whatever its making but the increase can give you an indication of how effective a mod is.

@@AM4N18 No, you are correct. Over here in the states we use whp because that's what we're actually getting. It's like using net income vs gross income. Some like to go by gross and some like to go by net. I can't speak for international places but here we use whp gains before and after.

@@robertpihl2518 If you close your eyes, and can know a car from its fucking exhaust notes, that means that it has sound character. And f8x has that. You can say that you do not like it, but you can't say it doesn't have that characteristic exhaust note.
Such a shame it sounds that way when it looks that nice. God damn it sounds awful, especially compared to the V8 of the M5/M6 of the same gen.
