Another great video! I appreciate that you consider your fiber crafts with a lightheartedness that keeps it all enjoyable. I think you can do this because you are a very competent creator 😊 Enjoy your summer!
Never stop listening to the chaos, Jenny! 🦄 I just knit a Secret Crop. I did a folded hem too and a folded front neck edge but 1x1 rib at the top of the back. I left the back stitches live while I knit the straps so that I could do a three needle bind off to join the straps to the back. I couldn’t quite work out how to do this in combination with a folded edge all the way round the back. I also did a doubleknit armhole and strap instead of ribbing. It worked out pretty nice. My straps are just a little bit too long and my fabric a little bit too firm (linen merino blend) but it’s a nice top and I’m proud of my mods. I hope it softens up with washing. I also did a split hem but I think yours looks better so would leave out the split if I did it again. Will put a photo on Instagram and tag you if I get chance x
that’s a hilarious PSA - tipsy triangles. :) Also, I’m on the last few rows of the last sleeve of my Cumulus T which I am knitting in a fingerling linen (!!). I’ve never knit anything at this gauge, let alone in linen. So I have to thank you for wearing this T, because I know I’m going to love love love this when it’s done. And I’m actually on the Catedral KAL and it’s going so slowly (although SUPER fast compared to the Cumulus) that I would not let myself join this new KAL :)
So many knitting vlogs are about cottage-core gardening... but not this one! This one rocks! I enjoy your content, I enjoy your snark, I like that some of your knits are ambitious. Don't change this format. Also, the interview episode was cool. Cheers!
I'm debating making the Florencia vs the Pink Grapefruit Lady by Thea Coleman however, if I win the Forencia pattern giveaway it should be a no-brainer! Thanks for putting it out there for us!
Love seeing the trials and errors of making your own designs-- makes me feel better about my own process. Looking forward to seeing the moonset and florencia tees. :)
I hope you enjoy your first KAL! I love the pattern for it, and I'm excited to hear your thoughts on the construction. And I cracked up at your tipsy triangles. I "calculated" and knitted some short rows for a t-shirt I'm making a few nights ago after a couple margaritas and realized the next morning that I'd done them upside down lmao. I remember being soooo confident. Thanks for another great episode! Your Culumus tee looks great btw, the perfect casual chic summer top.
the florencia tee looks so chic! do look forward to seeing your process and how it turns out! your podcasts are a joy to watch and always something to look forward to~
From the way you venture through the knitting patterns to the way you order in restaurants, I can tell you with confidence that you are a fellow P in the MBTI type! - From another Korean who is way too into MBTIs ❤
Drunk knitting is a mistake I've made many times before and that I will keep making, tension be dammed 😂 I've been meaning to do the summer secret crop, but I think I like your folded edge more than the ribbing, so I'll probably steal that! Also your hair looks really pretty!
You look so great in this episode!!! I feel like those pearl earrings go with that Cumulus top so perfectly. I definitely am convinced to join this KAL. Also, I have never heard anything more relatable than that bit about making everybody order first and then blurting out the first thing at a restaurant... this is also my method for picking ice cream flavors instead of trying samples. Just order the first one that comes to mind. No samples. Simply forge ahead. Wait. Maybe this also aligns with the fact that I don't gauge swatch much of the time...
To keep the tee on your shoulders perhaps you could sew little tabs on the inside of your shoulder that holds around a bra strap of the cumulus tee? I like your relaxed approach to knitting without stressing the smaller details or making corrections adjustments. I tend to want to frog and restart which isn't really always necessary, I'll try to emulate the low stress approach you have 😊 thanks for your videos.
I'm working on a little sleeve shrug thing, because it's wedding season over here too and I want to keep my arms toasty. But then I got bored of all the stockinette, so like you I casted on a summer secret top as well. At first in black cotton yarn too, but mine was too stiff and also I made a mistake during the cast on, so now I'm making one with a super colorful noro yarn. Not very summer friendly, but still this girl is content. Have fun with your first KAL, looking forward to it next ep!
I would be scared to cut my knitting too. I just finished a summer tee for my mother and doing another camisole I do love the progress of hour moonset tee I love the shape of it ❤ and good job on the Miu Miu cardigan looks very nice 🙂
Ugh, seeing your nearly finished moonset makes me want to bring mine out of hibernation 🌚 just need to work up the motivation to figure out adding in bust darts
I just knit the summer secret crop too! I was looking for something to do with a leftover cotton yarn in my stash. The pattern does have double knit straps, so you could just stick with that
Enjoyed the episode as always! 😊 I'm working on the Summer Shirt pattern by Knits for Days, thanks to seeing yours. Send prayers my way as I'm currently working on the double knit button band lol 😭
Your dress looks great! I’ve been getting interested in sewing lately, but haven’t started anything. The Florencia tee is very pretty. Where do you get the Knitting for Olive yarn in the US? My local stores don’t carry it.
I usually order directly from the KFO website (altho this time Eweknit is sending me some)! but one of my LYS Brooklyn General Store has a bunch in stock as well :)
a cute doomed swatch with alcohol..... love your podcast. You speak Korean, too? I'm Korean so I just want to know that I can write comments in Korean, if you don't mind. (because of my bad English haha)
한국에서 인사드려요!!! I wish I could send you some Korean yarn so you could try out and introduce them here. You know we have so many affordable options, since we are in summer: cotton tube yarn in cones (so cheap, like 15,000 won for 300 g), tape yarns, linen and cotton mix yarn, etc. Then the whole variety of 100% wool in cones and you can choose the weight by two - five ply (not plied but 겹) and in various colors. I enjoy imported yarn in skeins but cones make great fabric, especially in stockinette 😉
ahh yesss there are so many I would love to try - I'm planning to go next year hopefully and visit all the different yarn shops in Seoul! 열매달 이틀 여름방학 실이 너무 궁금해서 배송대행으로 주문해볼까 생각도 했어요 ㅋㅋ
I'm a product knitter too 🥲 I started motivating myself to finish knitting the body on things by multitasking it with some reading - it seems to wok for now 😅 but only for Stockinette...
Giveaway winner has been chosen! Check out my post on my community tab for details
The Florencia tee looks very nice. Your sense of humour makes it enjoyable to watch your podcasts
As a process knitter that assumes Ill have years to finish projects, meteor strikes are my nightmare. Lmao.
i am CACKLING at your first swatch. i didn't think it was that bad until i saw what it was actually supposed to look like on your second swatch lmao

OOO that sounds very nice I'll probably do something similar!

Love your podcast
Nothing better than watching someone who keeps the craft in perspective🧶🌸
I love your podcast. Everyone should be as down to earth as you.
soooo may times I have knit the "swatch of shame". I've received many citations for KUI (knitting under the influence)!!!

I love watching cottage core content but I'm too much of an indoor girlie to live that life... so here we are!
Great episode! At first I was "oh that drunk swatch doesn't look that bad or off" and then I saw the correct one 😂
the second swatch really put my first attempt in her place :')
I'm debating making the Florencia vs the Pink Grapefruit Lady by Thea Coleman however, if I win the Forencia pattern giveaway it should be a no-brainer! Thanks for putting it out there for us!

The drunken swatch just made my morning 😂😂😂
Found your videos a few days ago and can’t stop binge watching them now!!
It is always such fun sitting down for your podcast. So funny and chill. You are looking super gorgeous btw as well!
The fabric of your swatch really looks great! Can't wait to see the blue when it comes
Drunk knitting is a mistake I've made many times before and that I will keep making, tension be dammed 😂
I've been meaning to do the summer secret crop, but I think I like your folded edge more than the ribbing, so I'll probably steal that!

I love this sweater and it would be such a fun knit! Thank you for giving us a chance 😃👏🏼🧶
That Florencia tee looks like it ticks all of your boxes for a perfect knit T-shirt! ✨
Your video's are so fun to watch, as well as informative. You have a great sense of humor.

Kindred online spirits 🤝
Oooo the KAL is tempting, I love the look of the tee! And I love the Summer Secret Crop, I've already made 2 and I'll probably end up making more haha
You are so funny😂 Love your podcast❤ Hope you will continue with "I like your sweater" 🧶🧶🧶🧶
Love your expressions and non perfectionist attitudes which at the same time illustrate what a talented knitter you are!! Thank you!

Better done than perfect* they say! *within moderation ;)
yesss bucket hat time!! if it goes well i might even do one too. i am PUMPED for that miu miu cardigan
Hi Jenny! The Florencia tee is so pretty.
Love the colour you have chosen for the Moon Set Tee. Looking forward to see the end result.

Noro yarn is always a great choiceeee
I LOL’d so hard at your drunk knitting

Always enjoy your humor and you videos
That Florencia tee showed up in my insta feed (prob bc I follow you!) and the triangle pattern very much gives me legend of Zelda
OH yes true,, one in green would really look nice actually 🌚
Lol same I feel obligated to knit the Jenny Jacket 😆😆
I just knit the summer secret crop too! I was looking for something to do with a leftover cotton yarn in my stash. The pattern does have double knit straps, so you could just stick with that
oh shoot wow that really shows me for not reading the pattern all the way through 🙈
been waiting for a podcast episode!
Enjoyed the episode as always! 😊 I'm working on the Summer Shirt pattern by Knits for Days, thanks to seeing yours. Send prayers my way as I'm currently working on the double knit button band lol 😭
Sending you strength 🥲 you’re 2/3 there!!
That drunk swatch looks like the way I do lace as well.
Thanks for great podcast, as always❤
another great Podcast! Love your content ♥
Loving these wips❤
Hello Jenny as always i enjoy the video.. Thank you...
I would love to knit that Florencia Tee!!
believe it or not, even though it may be wrong, the swatch was what made me click on the video! i still love it, faults or not
swatching while drinking! LOL🍹
Your dress looks great! I’ve been getting interested in sewing lately, but haven’t started anything.

Knitting relaxes me, and alcohol relaxes me, therefore they should go together right? 😅😂 I completely understand this logic!
a cute doomed swatch with alcohol..... love your podcast. You speak Korean, too? I'm Korean so I just want to know that I can write comments in Korean, if you don't mind. (because of my bad English haha)
" Swatch while drinking...." OMG
❤❤
I’ve never done steeking, I think I’m too scare to ever try

I’m not a yarn seller so I really can’t but perhaps you could buy and get them shipped, or come to Korea to visit! 😁

Note to self: Do not drink and swatch....
tysm for the giveaway! i always enjoy your vids and look forward to each upload
