@@godoftwinkies574 ohh is that how they get destroyed? I know I would see a bunch of “Stardew tricks and tips” videos that would mention to do this so the grass would spread into the coop area without them eating the grass, which I think never worked as animals would just eat it anyways haha

Your animals are free range. You are just placing boundaries. Being cooped up would mean having them permanently indoors.

Grass near fences might destroy fence. Not sure. Like the wild grass removes placed floors.
