In 1969 Stevie’s brother, Jimmy Vaghan’s band opened for The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Jimmy Vaughan loaned Hendrix his Vox Wa Wa Pedal, hence Jimi Hendrix gave Jimmy Vaughan his own Wa Wa pedal afterwards. Then SRV either bought or borrowed it from his brother.

A bit of trivia, the wawa pedal Stevie used in this video once belonged to Jimi Hendrix. It was given to him by the Hendrix family after Jimi died.

Albert King said and i quote. Never in my wildest dreams did i ever think the greatest blues player that ever lived would be a white boy from Texas. Yes the great Albert King said this. No compliment anyone could give would be compared. Then again Eric Clapton said after listening to SRV do a couple sets he had to leave to reasses his own talent and regain his confidence. Yes folks SRV really was that good. The greatest guitar player to have ever lived in my and a lot of others opinion.

    Two juggernauts they were.
Jimmy went psychedelic, SRV went to the blues.

SRV!s sound was totally different because he used such thick strings throughout his career. If you don’t like the blues, then you’re missing out, but there’s nothing that I can do to help you. You might like Moanin, by Art Blakey, great jazz tune, but idk how to help you, really.

Janis Joplin, not Jennifer. It happens, all good!. Stevie Ray Vaughan was inspired by great artists and worked his bitt off to become one of the Greatest American Guitarist Known, by his pure love of the music and talent of his predecessors. He covered their music with the utmost respect! He’s just loved to play the sounds he fell in love with, isn’t that the dream… I love your appreciation for these Classics, I don’t know that we will ever see anything like this again.

It's not a white people thing. It's a "just these two" thing. No need to be racist about it.
