I dont know much about Stevie's career and musical beginings, but I turn to his music constantly. No matter how I'm feeling, I always feel better when I listen to him playing guitar. It speaks to my heart and soul. I don't know how he did what he did, but I'm certain he's helped countless people with that gift. RIP, King SRV. ❤💔💙
@danielwilliams66952 Yes Hendrix made a lot of noise. Noises that nobody else could do but I don't think you have really looked at what he could actually do lol. You don't know what you are talking about. No disrespect to Stevie because he is in my top 3. Like Stevie said (in paraphrase) "The Was only ONE Hendrix and there will only be ONE'".
Stevie Ray Vaughan was THEE GOAT! Imo Stevie was very underrated and was always beneath Jimi Hendrix but if you can find someone else with his stage presents and talents then I'll agree. Someone who could play behind his head, backwards, one hand, broken string and switch guitars never missing a beat, tune his guitar while playing, adjust his AMP'S while playing with one hand, no hands just by moving the guitar up and down side to side, with his teeth and even used his elbow in this song but most of all he played behind his back longer than anyone ever could past and present. In every top 100 best guitarist Stevie has been #7 and even #11 😕. Although Stevie loved Jimi Hendrix music I hear all the time that Hendrix was his biggest influence in his life. I always get things right out of the mouth of Stevie and his brother Jimmie Vaughan in interviews, Jimmie is 3 yrs older then Stevie so when Jimmie was 16 he quit school and left home so he was already in the music scene but never achieved the success Stevie did. It was Jimmie who got a electric guitar that Stevie loved and tried to play, in 1964 Stevie joined a band called The Chantones, his first gig was at a roller rink, so Jimmie gave Stevie his electric guitar, in every song Stevie has recorded if you hear 2 guitars it is always Jimmie. Stevie and Hendrix were both shy, reserved and soft spoken but that's the only real similarity. I'm not trying to put Hendrix down or offend anyone but every interview I've watched The Late Shows Stevie always said the person that was the biggest influence and who he looked up to was his older brother Jimmie Vaughan and next was B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Watters, Albert King who actually became Stevie's Godfather. It does kind of surprise me that anyone would think of Hendrix when Stevie has a brother who plays the Blues and got Stevie on his way.

You should look into it cuz its a cool story.
What happened to the guitar lololol he was fkn playing it !!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂
This was a live performance from 1983! We’re lucky to have it 🎸
It’s his instrumental version of the Hendrix song
Stevie Ray could make that guitar CRY!
Love to hear you react to more Stevie! I'm a huge fan.
THIS . . . is one of my personal top three of Stevie's songs. The others being "Lennie" and "Riviera Paradise" . . . also just instrumental.
SRV didn't just cover jimi hendrix, SRV took it to a whole new level. Hendrix didn't do anything but make a bunch of noise compared to stevie
And yet SRV was really inspired by Hendrix and also looked up to him.
