I love Queen Anne homes! They are classic, traditional and have lasted through time. It just shows you how well craftsmanship was then compared to now, the homes they build today are falling apart after 10 years.

I have almost house envy. Love that it wasn't gutted and you have so much of the original woodwork and flooring. Oh and the windows! I have what's called a Folk Victorian that was butchered in so many ways. I've bring back what I can as time and money permits.

Gorgeous house! I am not a fan of open floor plans so it's refreshing to see doors which open up to separate rooms. My vote is for opening up the wrap around porch. You are very fortunate that the beveled glass and art glass windows are all still intact. The vintage ice box, once cleaned, may be worth a lot of money to a collector if you end up selling it. The outside space is a gardener's dream. I'm a new subscriber and look forward to watching the personal touches you add to the interior home and yard.

Beautiful home, I owned a 1897 Queen Anne,it was pretty original like yours. Our kitchen had the original wooden countertops, and original cabinets that went to the ceiling. We had 14 ft ceilings downstairs and 12 ft upstairs. Enjoy your home!😊

I live in Fl. where the land is flat and the houses are stucco squares. What a fabulous house and property, I like the view from the back of the property too, it looks old timey and clean.

What a beautiful home! I love all the old woodwork in the house and the large rooms with high ceilings. I hope you can keep the original features such as its tile floor. The enclosed porch is beautiful and will be very nice to be inside away from bugs. They don't build homes like this anymore what a beautiful house it will be for you.

Beautiful! I just bought my dream historic mansion. It’s a 1925 3400 sqft fixer upper, & my lists are long. My front staircase is like yours with paneling, but mine curves. The last owner trashed foyer floors & casements with dog urine. It’s something to get out. I am .70 & busy with a million things. I was hoping to find one the size of yours. But I had sold my home & had to make a quick decision. I love the old boilers, I’ve had them in all 3 of my houses, they are beasts. They told me I should replace my first one, but why? It worked fine. I’d hate to have to buy a new one in these days of price gouging & inferior product quality. Love the neat period pieces, the built in ice box! The yard is a perfect size for maintenance purposes. I think I saw this video. Nice piece f property guys! Congrats!

That house is downright GORGEOUS! Never saw a wall like that going up the stairs. At least they didn't paint the woodwork. Were the cabinets in the basement once in the kitchen? I'd refinish or clean up that old radio just as a decorating item. My grandparents had one when I was a child. Good sized basement. The only thing thing I can see can that would this house more PERFECT would be to have it sitting on 80 acres! LOL! congratulations!

We have a Queen Anne Victorian with a porch like yours but it's NOT enclosed. If I could change one thing about our house, I would get an enclosed porch because you can't enjoy it outside with all the mosquitoes. I live in Wisconsin.

The bench on the stairs is called a "suitor's bench." A young man would call on a young lady of the house and wait there while the mother or servant would fetch the young lady. Their entire conversation would be held there on the bench. It was both secluded and very public area. Parlors were segregated men and women, that's why there were so often two downstairs parlors. The suitors bench is the only other place an outsider of the opposite sex would be. Girls did not go to boys homes.
