Let's face it .. this movie, and this performance (Casey Affleck) were so good, so unforgettable, so painful, that it is difficult to imagine watching it a second time.

@@Ema-nt3gp I watched it 3 times in the space of 10 days, perhaps, & seem to get something more out of it each time...I'm now quite obsessed with it (& with Casey Affleck) & am watching all these reviews & interviews. It's one of the most powerful & intense movies I've seen in a long time, especially the police interview scene & what follows & you're right there with him when he loses it...I so badly just wanted to hug him & tell him it was okay to cry...! They say that the sign of a great actor is that they make you totally forget that what you're seeing is not real & is just an act, so I think we just have to say that Casey Affleck is a one hell of an actor! And the same applies to Lucas Hedges who was amazing as the typical egocentric, selfish, stroppy teenager. He's one to watch. And Michelle Williams is also a fine actress, it's a pity we didn't see more of her & that the film was at least another hour longer! I would just love to have seen more of it.

This movie was AWESOME! It was gut-wrenching.....just like real life can be at time ....but at the end there is such a warm feeling of the potential for healing. It doesn't end definitely Hollywood happy - which was great really, so true - but you know there will be SOME level of healing for Lee because of Patrick!! Overall, I loved it!! Casey and Michelle are two of my favorite actors!

He's so honest @ 4:56 - actors rich like him have to do to earn a living! i mean look at his net worth

Mi Nguyen yes but he's a father. And a safe, good future for his sons is the most important thing of all so, he's not going to stop working just because they're OK now. Read interviews with him, he mentions their lifestyle allot, it is deliberately humble and normal so his kids could built values of their own and not be pre-affected by their environment or their way of living. He doesn't isolate his kids just because they have money. You should check it out, he explains it more simply than I do.

Awww hahaa that made me laugh because I was thinking the same thing...! Does he ever actually comb his hair, or put a brush through it, because it always has all these bits sticking out of it & God knows where the parting was meant to be lol He could be dressed up really smart & then there's this haystack on top of it. I know he he grew it for a part, probably The Light of my Life, but, still, please comb your hair Casey, it looks a mess...! (I still think your great though.)

Why not focus on the interview and the actors' experiences in the making of this marvelous film?
