Started replaying it since I never beat it, but Tokyo Ghoul is my favorite manga of all time and the game is decent for what it’s trying to achieve. Definitely repetitive, but happy it even got a game adaptation! 😊
Hard to believe that Devil May Cry 5 released before this title. Play Tokyo Ghoul side by side against DMC5. Maintaining a solid anime-style is perfectly feasible with ample attention to detail. Tokyo Ghoul is interesting; but it does very little to honor its source material . . .
I think this looks like one of the better anime games but that unfortunately isn't saying much. I would love to see a big developer take on something like this and treat it like its more than a lazy cash grab but... That's more unlikely than half life 3 being released
.......wut?....you......do know that anime games are wide and vast.....it is NOT one of the better games but hey, you may have had a different experience than me
@@aiharakotokorulesbluerose4170 what I was meaning is that it's not a fleshed out experience with a huge budget to make it compete with triple A budget titles. Could you imagine if this game and other anime games were developed in the same way games like The Witcher or Skyrim were with a huge amount of money and time
@@simplecat8736 you do know developers have budget limitations that prevent such a thing to exist, right? especially Japanese developers whose games don't sell as much as Western developers do if they had unlimited budget like Netflix, they could make such games, but don't forget these are licensed games and those tend to have just above average budgets to make them in order to release them during the hype and popularity of the source material also, it's anime and NOT photo realistic, so they try to stay as faithful as possible to the source material in order to replicate it in video game form if you want games made with bigger budgets, than just go play those made by Western developers instead
It really isn't hard to pronounce these names mate. I'm sorry, "Liz"? You claim to be some kinda of fan, yet you can't pronounce one of the most frequently mentioned characters in season 1's name? Took me out of the review a bit.
..liz? "Rize" like Re-zey, still a good review. This game could've been so good. I love the manga and the anime was okay, for the first bit.
This was all that was going through my mind😂

😂 I see why y’all fired him. Buddy did no research at all on the source material. Straight up called her liz lmao

Prototype Tokyo Edition.
No. just no. prototype seems much better than this, especially 2..
Doesn't Matter I'll still buy the game
If the multiplayer is the best part of the game, why were only 2 sentences dedicated to describing it!?
This writer doesn’t write for us anymore lol
🤣
Oof. Bad game faithful-wise to the manga. Disappointing. Doesn't look very good either.
For the PS3 era, sure, but I'm kinda past mediocre games.
