Great job! Every snake deserves a vivarium like that. Must be a nice moment to let your snake in the enclosure after months of work. Thanks for uploading - really enjoyed it.
It’s so beatiful and so much work went into it to make a better environment and plus it’s way larger then half the stuff you see on RUclips and other more enrichment
Can you explain sort of step by step how you did the pond and what materials you used for it? I see that you use styrofoam as the base, then cover it in some kind of net to armor the whole thing, but what did you cover it with? Is it a few layers of some kind of cement first, then epoxy that you cover in black sand to get the proper look in the end? And what layers provide the waterproofing?
Thats exactly my frustration. If there are detailed videos on cage-building i sure as hell cant find them. I haven't found a single video detailed enough to follow. Timelapses like this one without stating materials or giving details, is pretty to look at, but ultimately useless when it comes to actually trying to learn.
Yes so nice to see someone who does provide the basic and very cute, made needs for the snake. Ofc I love when I see snakes walking out under sun, and nature strraching around but this cage looks so cute. Well done. I want to build new cage, myself for my boa but I need to have, portable version bc I don't know how long I'm allowed to stay in, my home so I need to be able to de assemble it. Great video
Great idea but too much stuff! Cuts down on the size of the enclosure. Also, you would've been better served with swinging or detachable doors for easier access. Incredible build tho
All you that are saying wow good job for big enclosure it's 3m long snakes 5m long idc about the "oh its both the side together" that's just plain lazy that is. Give them proper space or don't keep them
@@alexcrowder1673 It's a really nicely made terrarium, but you can put it the way you want it's still too small. In Europe this would be considered legally too small for a python of that size. For example in Germany the minimum legal size for a terrarium for a python over 2.5m is 0.75x0.5x0.75 the length of the snake. In this case with a 5m snake the minimum size is: 3.75x2.5x3.75m. Which gives a surface area of 9.37 m2, and thats a minimum, not even the recommended size. Here, considering that the corner is cut (lets say 20% less area) the surface size is 0.8*(2*3)=4.8m2 which is only 51% of the minimum legally required size. In other words the terrarium should be at least twice as big as it is. Therefore it is not a little bit too small, it is wayyyyyy too small. Now the person in the video might be from a place where there are no such requirements for keeping a snake in which case theres no legal obligation for anything. That still doesn't mean that this terrarium is ethically big enough. I can understand that not everyone has the space available for a retic nor the money too keep a large enclosure at the right temperature. But in that case maybe a ball python or tiger python would have been a better choice. Anyways we can argue about it for days and not come to a conclusion, but saying that this terrarium is big enough for a 5m retic is straight up wrong.
Incredible build! You have one lucky python. Sad that the majority of keepers does not provide such a well made container
lol 1 retic shit in there and youll realize why most dont keep like that lol newb
This reminded me of how creative humans can be.
But how do you clean the terrarium regularly?
Should have made it as tall as the ceiling. Great build, hard work.

Thank you very much for your feedback. And yes, it was a really great moment. Now im building the second one on top of it :)
@@TMSnakes Hope you make a video of that one too! It is for another Retic?

I smiled from ear to ear when you put your friend in, who was completely oblivious to how hard you had slaved over his/her new home.
Amazing enclosure!
Well done. Nice to see people giving these beautiful animals room and enrichment!
Keep posting and show these giant snake keepers how it's done!
thats a bacteria heaven. snakes gonna get sick and die because it will be too hard to keep clean. keeep talking out your ass though.
@@deekay1310 ok champ
Absolutely beautiful setup. I love the headshape on your retic too. Every retic seems to have its own unique looking head shape and head scales.
This was extremely soothing to watch
My back hurts just watching this. Amazing setup! Wish I had those skills
That is amazing. Chandler’s wildlife should hire you to build the exhibits for his future facility haha
magnifique, good job
Very nice build, your snake must be loving it.
That is the BEST cage setup I’ve ever seen. I am actually planning on building a enclosure myself. How wide and tall is the enclosure?
Wow this is sick thank you for the idea on how to do the water feature 😮

Bad ass tank
Inspirational
amazing!
This is awsome
Truly inspiring!
Brilliant
Dope video
Love it bro I want to build my retic a pond so bad but how does it stay clean
Awesome enclosure? Have you cleaned poop out of it yet?
What did you use to seal the cement? I'm looking to do something similar but am finding it difficult to find a non toxic sealer
Awesome build!! Can I ask a ballpark on what that cost to build?
WOW!!!
Amazing!!!! 😍
What kind of mortar/clay did you use for the pool
Just lovin it eh.How bout an update?
What are you going to build for it when it's full grown?
this man loves his snake.
Ist das schwarzer Sand was er auf die Rückwand aufbringt?
ganz genau
Was ein geiles Terrarium so ein totes mir auch mal wenn ich erwachsen bin
Ja ich auch

Amazing set up. Would a building like that be viable in an apartment?
wow :D
That’s incredible but I’d hate to clean it.
Any updates? How’s she doing?
How much did it cost and what is that paste you are use if for the walls
Well done know I wanna build a cage for my ball python or maybe burm
how you clean the poop?
All you that are saying wow good job for big enclosure it's 3m long snakes 5m long idc about the "oh its both the side together" that's just plain lazy that is. Give them proper space or don't keep them
Obviously you don't keep these snakes lol. This is more than adequate.
