As a fellow homeschooler I don’t think people realize how much food you go through by staying at home and eating EVERYTHING from home. A lot of people will see this and think “that’s too much” but if they’ve never really eaten EVERY. SINGLE. MEAL. From home they have no idea 😂 also I’m jealous of those steaks! They wouldn’t last long here

Sweet Misty!!! My Goodness!!! Every video you do I think, “WOW! Where does this amazing woman get all her energy!”
Looking at your pantry and knowing ALL THE WORK that went in to planting/growing/harvesting/canning/cooking/freeze drying/taking care of animals/homeschooling/regular cooking of meals/……
You certainly put me to shame. Mercy! I am tired and I KNOW I didn’t list everything!!

I see huge start up expenses in food processing equipment, construction supplies inside and out, jars and bags, freezers and starter seeds/plants, etc. My limited canning was extremely time consuming. I know the results are delicious but I am choosing my time spent other more leisurely ways.
You are amazing and I applaud you. Fun to watch.

I just want to throw out an idea for others. There are a lot of websites where hikers share recipes for dehydrated meals they prep to take on their backpacking trips. I never realized you can dehydrate sauces/condiments to season food with. And did y’all know they sell powdered Worcestershire sauce? Talk about adding flavor!! The nesco dehydrator is still the most budget friendly.
Also the Dollar Tree is now selling freeze dried fruits. They’re great to munch straight out of the bag, but I love to add them to my oatmeal. They rehydrate wonderfully.
Missy your pantry is nothing short of amazing!!

Would you do a house tour sometime? I know you can't show all rooms but I'd love a tour of the kitchen, living room, and maybe the porches outside.

Thanks for sharing. I can understand why you are so excited to show off your pantry. A lot of work and a lot of food to go along way. Great job. On the flip side, and please don’t think I’m trying to criticize you….I just don’t understand why people share on the internet your stockpiles. ????? In my mind those who don’t have the luxury of having a pantry full for when shtf will be looking for the all those they were able to see and locate who shared those pantry tour. I just think it’s a dangerous thing. IMO.
keep up the great work. Happy canning!!!!

I'm getting better but so worried about getting sick from bath water canning or pressure canning. Just want to thank you and your husband for sharing so much important information. Can y'all please do a video on the hand pump well mine is 250 ft deep. I'm signal no family to help me with projects. And i leave in a neighborhood where we all stay to ourselves and trusting people now days is hard.I work in North Carolina but live in Virginia. Some most of my time is driving. Plus my beautiful garden. Would like to know more about the hand pump for well. Thank you again for you and your wonderful family!! God bless you always 🙏
