Probably the way it hops around when it goes over a bump. When I first got my car someone had put in an aftermarket suspension and didnt adjust the back at all. The back was stiff as hell and hopped around...sketchy was one was way to describe it.
It's sad that just those little things like the throttle and brake response held you back from properly testing this car because the engine and the aesthetics are just on point. I hope they get this sorted, because this thing is the best modern interpretation of a classic muscle car that I have seen so far.
It's a 100% custom retro-mod... so at a minimum 100k at the low end. The owner of the car did a lot of the specialized machining of the parts on the car, so I suppose he "saved" some money there since he owns a machine shop.
My '92 Viper jumped around like that over the smallest bumps. Made it very scary under power like this and with only 40% of the power lol. Ring Bros know how to build a car though. Gorgeous interior and loving the wheels :)
Great custom build Matt it will need a few thousand shakedown miles to fine tune it all as I've built many high dollar cars but once tuned there awesome toys. Car def has steering limiters because you can't get stance without rub on these. So cool you got to drive it! The shocks and springs need tuning the car def shouldn't bounce as much they may have it set up to cruise
The Ring Brothers can fabricate and build anything. It does not matter what they start with, the end product is always, a gorgeous piece of "Rolling Art!" Ring Bros create a masterpiece, every time they touch a car! Damn are they gifted! Cheers from Western Australia!
Man, because of the vacation I saw this car FIRST on Jay Leno's garage! The owner owns a machine shop. All the interior machined parts you talked about, he made for his own car! He did the bumpers too, it's an amazing build! The owner drove it on Jay's channel and had the same throttle complaint you had.
TheSmokingTire Hey Matt good to see you back, as a big guy myself would that have anything to do with the blipy-ness of the throttle?. I know it's obviously really sensitive but it looks as though a smaller guy wouldnt have as much of an issue, ps is it also drive by wire or cable?.
are you suggesting a fat foot is to blame with the throttle? The thing is, if you're suggesting the throttle has to do with being fat, having fat feet, or my driving, then that issue would have to persist through every single car I've reviewed, right? Because I'm literally the only constant which links those videos. Since that doesn't happen in every video, it cannot be because of my fat foot or my driving style. It must be the car. I think the throttle is drive by wire but don't quote me on it.
TheSmokingTire fat foot haha no, I meant more height wise than anything, and it seemed a little snug as in height, but that may be the way the old school style steering wheel neck?!? Hangs out quite low to you legs looks as though there is not much leg room.
I don't even like classic cars but OMG! That car looks amazing! It reminds me of what singer did for the 911 in terms of design but the suspension needs a miracle for all that bounce...
Welcome back Matt!! Jay Leno had this car on his channel a few days ago and he had the same complaint about the touchie throttle. I KNEW you would give it a better workout then he did though! Great video!
gotta say I love the ringbrothers their cars are absolutely amazing. I do wish they sorted them before letting you drive them only so you and we can see the real potential of these beasts.
first time ever in following your channel that I've been scared for you driving a car. That thing is insane and I would definitely be sketched out by that power coupled with those bumps.
Hey Matt, happy new year, and what a wonderful start for the new year it is. Just fell in love with the car when I first saw pictures of it, and now I was able to see it in action too. Thank you man, thank you for everything you put into the one takes, they just friggin rule! Greetings from Switzerland
100% agree. If I was going to all this effort, I'd definitely have gone with an independent rear suspension. Hell, if I was this deep in a project, I'd have done pushrod suspension too, just to say I did!!
Interesting to see that this video came out today a week after Jay Leno's Garage, and JLG posted the Dinan V8 BMW 1M which Matt tested a while back. People think a live-axle Mustang is scary over bumps and uneven pavement, this is a death trap waiting to happen in it's current suspension setup. Once it gets sorted though this car will destroy at time attacks, road course racing, and even drag strips. I'm still amazed how well it hooked up in the lower gears after that 3pt. turn.
Watched this car on Leno's garage a few days ago. It was interesting to hear what Matt had to say about it. I think Matt was a little more honest about the car vs. Leno. But still what a beauty of a car!!!
Welcome back after a much needed vacation! This car looks like it soaks up the bumps at higher speeds but really overdamped at lower speeds. Also if you the do get Kyle out there to do the final sorting you all should film it. I would love to see the final tuning of a car like this done. Do some comparison drives over the same pice of road before, during, and after. I know this kind of work can be super tedious and boring but film the highlights, changes and explanations to why they have changed it.
That interior is beautiful, especially that wheel and instrument cluster. Almost Pagani-esque
Henry Kincaid that's exactly what I was thinking.. all of that machined metal
Henry Kincaid looks swiss made
Henry Kincaid umm no. Please don’t ever compare an American car interior to a Pagani.
That engine bay is incredible.. car looks super sketchy tho. Props for being able to talk while driving that monster
Carguments all that power. A good 600-700hp would have spot on.
just out of curiosity, what did you mean by "car looks super sketchy tho".
It means its looks untrustworthy
Grandmaster Buu how so?
Probably the way it hops around when it goes over a bump. When I first got my car someone had put in an aftermarket suspension and didnt adjust the back at all. The back was stiff as hell and hopped around...sketchy was one was way to describe it.
the sound of the super charged ls3 is so soothing like gawd damn it sounds amazing.
That looked absolutely frightening to drive.
It's sad that just those little things like the throttle and brake response held you back from properly testing this car because the engine and the aesthetics are just on point.
I hope they get this sorted, because this thing is the best modern interpretation of a classic muscle car that I have seen so far.
DSP "Aesthetics are on-point..." Yeeeeah.... 😄
well the biggest problem isnt brake or throttle. Its the zero tuned chassie. Super oversprung and not enough dampening.
Check out their other projects.. Ring Brothers make some outrageous stuff
Have heard these guys lack in the suspension tuning of their cars.
Is the car supposed to bounce around so much? it looks unstable to me
Glad to see you back! And something by ringbrothers is an awesome start!
thedownshiftchannel bloody hell, I see you everywhere on RUclips
ScrappyCoco we try to comment to support all the channels we watch!
thedownshiftchannel Good man!
realy though
Whew, a new upload! I was starting to get the shakes here.
Glad you're back at it man!!
I love Matt, cause he always makes it clear when a car drives like shit.
I love his honest take on a car
It seems like a car show car, not a drivers car.
Beat me to it. And over priced I am sure =/
Drives like shit
It's a 100% custom retro-mod... so at a minimum 100k at the low end. The owner of the car did a lot of the specialized machining of the parts on the car, so I suppose he "saved" some money there since he owns a machine shop.
+Vax Buster When did they let you drive it? Fucking kids lol
Matt was bouncing around, like a kid in a pram. It looked terrible to drive and cornered like a boat
Jay Leno also recently did an overview of this car here on youtube.
Māris Samats ....where it was also brutalized in the comments section. 😄
+Terry Hesticles I like how at least matt tried to put all the problems lightly lol
Fuck Jay Leno and his glass jaw/chin.
"Big power! BIG POWER!"
Man, what a blast. My favorite episode in a long time, Matt.
This video is incredibly badass. California sunset in the canyons with enough torque to uproot a house.
who wouldn't like to start a new year that way? glad you are back Matt. and with the ultimate Camaro.
The morning looks amazing for a drive
This video was actually shot around 430 PM in California haha.
TheSmokingTire You said Good Morning!haha
hands down the most beautiful engine bay I have ever seen! I would pull up a chair and watch it like a TV if I owned it
one of the most beautiful cars out there, they nailed it
FINALLY MY LIFE IS BACK AND COMPLETE. WE'VE MISSED YOU MATT
Thank God one takes are back. My mornings are finally normal again
Good Morning Matt. Welcome back we've been waiting for you!! It's cold in VERMONT!
That is one beautiful car inside and out. I've always loved the old Camaros and Mustangs.
My '92 Viper jumped around like that over the smallest bumps. Made it very scary under power like this and with only 40% of the power lol. Ring Bros know how to build a car though. Gorgeous interior and loving the wheels :)

That has to be the cleanest engine compartment I have ever seen. Glorious !
welcome back Matt glad to have my coffee and your videos for the start of my day
Very impressive, love how they still kept he "old school" look inside and out!
Needs a lot more suspension tuning. Way too bouncy.
Yea, like different springs.
Every downshift gave me chills down my spine
And 2017 just got a whole lot better, welcome back Matt.
And he's back! Hope you had a great vacation! We all missed you.

When you driving 1000hp so you step your flannel game way up, looking very fly buddy.
Hey Matt - did you film this after SEMA?
Ring Brothers probably shipped the car to Cali after SEMA - filmed Leno/One Take - then back to WI.
bonecrrusherSS yes I drove it the day after Jay
TheSmokingTire Hey Matt good to see you back, as a big guy myself would that have anything to do with the blipy-ness of the throttle?. I know it's obviously really sensitive but it looks as though a smaller guy wouldnt have as much of an issue, ps is it also drive by wire or cable?.

even beefy truck does the bounce. Don't even bother with the bad comments.
The way Matt was bouncing around in this thing doesn't make me want to daily this, but looks beautiful. That interior!
Wow That engine bay the cleanest I've seen ! Everything on this car look high . Spared no expense !
That view is breathtaking.
Not sure if you changed anything but the quality on this one is amazing
just really nice time of day. shot this about 10 mins before sunset.
"I'll bring it back in one piece!" ... Then stalls LOL good to have you back Matt !
that bay again though! thanks for showing ringbros amazing work Matt
I'm so happy these are back.
That's a sound!
Fantastic! The machining was done by the customer himself. I enjoyed your analysis Matt. Great work!!
So glad you're back! Never go on vacation again!
Good Lord it looks difficult to drive. I agree 100% that with a little fine tuning, that thing will be a BEAST! Welcome back Matt!
I love your honesty in your reviews.
Damn it was a long wait for one of these! love it thanks for making these
Their craftsmanship is astonishing.
Welcome back after your break. Hope it was relaxing. This car looks like a monster
Glad to see you back! Hope you had a great holiday.
The scenery is amazing.
man the ring brothers do some amazing work!!!
This Camoro is making the rounds, saw it a week ago on Jay Leno's Channel
Happy new year. Good to have you back Matt :)
Good to have you back!
glad to see you back at it Matt! missed my morning ritual of breakfast and the smoking tire!
Ohhhhh that withdrawal was terrible. Welcome back dude.
Wow, I love the Camaro. But that road he's driving though. It looks amazing, beautiful surroundings.
I don't even like classic cars but OMG! That car looks amazing! It reminds me of what singer did for the 911 in terms of design but the suspension needs a miracle for all that bounce...
This is how the new gen Camaro should have looked like.
Welcome back Matt!! Jay Leno had this car on his channel a few days ago and he had the same complaint about the touchie throttle. I KNEW you would give it a better workout then he did though! Great video!
Glad you're back Matt!

glad your back, may the morning dumps commence!
Hey Matt, happy new year, and what a wonderful start for the new year it is. Just fell in love with the car when I first saw pictures of it, and now I was able to see it in action too. Thank you man, thank you for everything you put into the one takes, they just friggin rule! Greetings from Switzerland
What a way to start of the year bro!! That Camaro looks amazing
I genuinely thought that the preview pic is a car rendering and not the actual car. That spotless it looks.
Solid axel aside, THAT'S a Camaro I'd want
Ryan Lewis I'd probably go for an engine with less power but with the same noise. Would let you use more of the car more of the time
ide stop at 650hp, less chance to break shit at that point could always upgrade as well.
Ryan Lewis i prefer the solid axle good on launches, sturdy .
Henry Kincaid true 600 at most.
100% agree. If I was going to all this effort, I'd definitely have gone with an independent rear suspension.
Hell, if I was this deep in a project, I'd have done pushrod suspension too, just to say I did!!

Stoked to have my mornings back. Holidays suck without TheSmokingTire.
I just finished watching and I'm buzzing inside!!!! Now, THAT'S a ride :--)))))
Welcome back Matt, we missed one takes a lot.
HELL YEAH Ringbrothers represent WISCONSIN BABY!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
What an awesome vehicle...The interior rocks
yay, Matt's back!! Hope you had a good break, and hope that 2017 brings you (and us) some nice cars to drive
Well there is a difference between craftmanship and making a car drive well. Great finish.
Scary beast, bumpy ride. Great driving!
must have been dope driving the camaro at sunset (i assume sunset)... so happy the one takes are back!
Welcome back Matt!
Probably life changing to drive
OMG. So far the best custom camaro i ever see.
the sound of that thing is unreal 😍😍👍👍
Welcome back ! :-)
When Matt says "Good God man! BIG power!" You know the thing hauls ass!!
Matt we missed you bro! Hope you had a great vacation! Welcome back!
Nice modern take on an iconic classic muscle car
Look how beautiful those canyons are at dusk. Sheesh.
Watching this and the Jay Leno vid is 40mins well spent. Compliment each other
Watched this car on Leno's garage a few days ago. It was interesting to hear what Matt had to say about it. I think Matt was a little more honest about the car vs. Leno. But still what a beauty of a car!!!
Thought the thumbnail was a concept drawing haha the car is unreal!
This alongside the Jay Leno's Garage vid is perfection.
awsome custom camaro & great video as usual matt & enjoy your day.
Coming back with a bang? Love this!
I missed you Buddy!! Glad your back with a Bad Ass Ride!!!!
Way to start the new year!!! Welcome back :-D
What better way to start off 2017 than with this epic build
Welcome back after a much needed vacation! This car looks like it soaks up the bumps at higher speeds but really overdamped at lower speeds. You and Jay Leno reviewing the same cars, I would say you have arrived sir! What a car!
Heck yeah. My favorite channel is back!
