Great video. I too had the knocking sound post repair so I went back in and tightened all of the screws around the unit, especially the ones around the laser housing. Problem solved. Works like a charm now with minimal noise. Many thanks for your help. :)
@@weakbit633 Yes. All solved once I had gone back in an tightened all of the screws. Thank you again for this video. I couldn't have done it without you. :)

Guten tag! I have a Cairns Ecrins cd player. It worked for a while but then stopped. The plastic cogs for the door are broken and disc drive does not spin. Do u think I can repair it?
Hello, yes and why not if you can get the gears as a spar part then you can change it if not you should know how to use the freecad www.freecad.org/ and make a slt file for a 3D printing with a resin UV-light 405nm printer and make you own self built gear. Then the spin motor don't spin this can have several issues you must check the schematic service plan if possible I'm sorry I've never hear or see on of this CD-Players "Cairns Ecrins" if you tell us more about this CD-Player then maybe we have here a viewer and we can help you. Thank you weakbit
I think this is more made for people they are using their own CDs and not so for HDD/SSD collectors they are collecting all music where ever it comes from the web and never listening them. CD listeners are more for the haptic and non usability known. I use me CD-Players and on my stand speakers it sounds interest wise better than if you play the same music from hard disc. By using the internal audio chipset. If I use a 24bit external USB-Audio card it will not have the presence then my Sony X33ES or Technics SL447. It could be a delusion - weakbit
Я тоже не могу все исправить. Есть много ошибок, которые я не могу исправить. Я просто пытаюсь все починить, но если усилия слишком велики, мне приходится остановиться.

I would have used the thinner belt of the Chinese kit... maybe 2 equal thin belt to reinforce the transmission.

DVD players are going strong still. You can rip your CDs onto your computer in full wave or MP3.
