Now his mom lost him. Rest In Peace Eiley and Keaton.
Not only did god choose her, but he also chose him.... he died recently and this song was the first thing I thought of. When this song came out, the emotions were insane. Now hearing he died as well... idk what to say. RIP EILEY AND KEATON PIERCE. So sorry for the loss to the fans, but most importantly the family. Devastating loss.
This song nearly broke me before, but after Keaton passed I fucking sobbed listening to this song in my car. That pain relived for the family is such a burden
When Keaton died the world lost one of the most expressive vocalist I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. RIP Keaton. And to the Pierce family I am so sorry for your loss of Eily and now Keaton, I pray you find peace and am sending so much love your way.
I’ve never been able to listen to this song without crying and it’s even harder to listen to now that Keaton is gone. Still, it’s so brutally beautiful that I listen to it often and sob every time.

The part where he starts crying while singing gets me every damn time. This song you can hear complete raw emotion.
theres very few vocalist that can transmit emotions and pain as well as keaton does, this song breaks me everytime 😭 along with basically all their discography

the amity affliction also does that really well and its amazing because there are very few bands that are able to do that and that's why I love this music genre

The first, no joke, 20 times that I listened to this song I sobbed my eyes out. I absolutely live for music that people use to express themselves and tell their story. Too close to touch is an amazing band and the pinnacle of a genre that uses screaming as a tool to tell an emotional story, rather than be the whole meat of the song. Absolutely beautiful. I feel it every time he screams yet almost cries.

The bridge to this song always makes me cry. Apparently that was his first take also, and he really started to cry (as you can tell). He wanted to re-do the take because of his crying but everyone said the emotion was way too powerful to get rid of it and they ultimately decided to keep it in. I’m so glad they did.

This is the song I go to when someone says that screaming is not music or has no place in music. Like how are you supposed to process the death of a child. Even the screams fall short of that immense pain and loss. Keaton was an amazing vocalist so sad that he's gone.
It's about Eiley, a lil girl his parents adopted from an Asian country and she died from disease at only 3 yrs old
Uh the song is Eiley a song he wrote in loving memory of his sister Eiley who died when she was there years old suddenly
his younger sister Eiley passed away at 3 years old, that is what the song is about
This is one of the most heartbreaking songs in history. The way that Keaton portrayed those emotions was so raw that most people won't get the depth of it unless they take time to dwell on what's being said and heard. RIP, Keaton.

Such a sad experience written amazingly into a song
Eiley was Keaton's little sister who passed away. Last year, Keaton himself tragically passed as well from a illness he has been battling for a while. The full cause wasnt disclosed other than it was an illness that took him as well. My thoughts to his family..
RIP Keaton and Eiley god works in mysterious ways but at least you're together again.
