Dr bronners has unscented also. The bottle you have is nice, but "way" to big I would never carry that, I keep my soap in a small dropper. A small dropper bottle will last me more then a week. You might be doing month long outings, I tend to do 3 to 7 days at a time.

Nah. Actually, peppermint is an excellent and natural insect repellent. So it's definitely great for the outdoors.

You mentioned that Dr. Bronners has a strong mint scent. I've read that rodents are allergic to peppermint. I am not sure how strong this allergy is to repel rodents, or if all rodents possess this allergy. But I've often wondered about applying peppermint oil to my gear. I've not done this because 1) I don't want all of my food to taste like peppermint as peppermint oil is very strong, and 2) if this allergic reaction is a myth, then I'm afraid I would be broadcasting a strong scent to god knows what is out there that would eat my food. Has anyone else heard of this rodent allergy? Has anyone tried this?

Do you carry a towel? If so, which one?
