- I've found quite a few connections between Childe and the Loom of Fate, and I decided share to the theory I came up with before Fontaine releases

Fun and creative theory! Even though I was always aware that Childe's fate was most likely changed, I had never thought to connect it to the Loom of Fate (probably because there was just so little information about it). Definitely agree that whatever Childe's involved in, whether it's the Loom of Fate or something else, he's got very little awareness of it, and there's probably still a ton that he doesn't understand about himself and the things surrounding him.
Since the requirement for starting the Fontaine chapter is to complete the Caribert archon quest, there's definitely a chance that it could be linked. Maybe his fate really was changed by the Loom of Fate, and we'll learn more about it over the course of 4.X. Either way, I'm just extremely excited to potentially learn more about him. Hopefully 4.1 will reveal something or at least provide more clues!
Maybe it's a bit late to comment but I don't think it's crack or something since I've found this connection in the game's story too. Childe lets out Osial and the Abyss Order's plan is to make a mechanical god with the sea monster and the first Field Tiller like Childe helped them. Like they are following Childe and he would be their leader or something... later on in the story we learn that the Abyss Order's plan with Loom of Fate is to bring back Khaenri'ah. What if they want to bring back not just the nation but their king too? And for that, there is some evidence in the game that connects Irmin and Childe together. First is the Deathly Statuette which obviously illustrates Irmin because it was dropped by his former soldiers; these soldiers cherished these idols as it's someone whom they were prideful; and last but not least: one-eyed. As for Childe's part look what it looks like: two big horns, red color. And the description was the most... frightening to me. It's about conquering the world. Like there is really something similar about them. But, there is more and it's Childe's beta version where one of his eyes is covered with an eyepatch. And it's the same eye as the idol's. Other characters like Kaeya and Dainslief wear it on the other. What do you think? Did they change his game model because it would be a huge spoiler? Or it was just too much for one character?
Huh, I've never considered the possible connection between Irmin and Childe. That's very interesting, although I doubt it means anything. I think that they mainly changed his design bc a) it's a little much to have both the eyepatch and the mask, and b) it makes him seem a lot more serious, while now he has more of a cheerful and confident appearance. It's still very interesting how it was specifically an eyepatch though, and it does make me wonder about how he got it and if it means anything lore-wise

I do hope this new model of childe is true because he looks so badass than his old design not like I hated his old model but I really hope that his new model design is official
I think it could be possible, especially with recent developments in Fontaine. However, we obviously need more information, especially about the Loom of Fate.

With Fontaine, the first part is certainly supported. "It" might very well be the reason his fate was changed!
And the second part STILL makes sense. It's quite likely he's actually bit aware of his active participation in the loom of fate.
