Podkolzin isn’t getting an opportunity to succeed. He had his best games in the last half of last season, playing with Pettersson or Miller. He was really effective. Playing him 6 minutes a night does nothing for him. Most of Bruce’s lineups that he puts out are extremely questionable & they drive me nuts.
There is a problem with the make-up for the team. Guys like Podkolzin and Hoglander need ice time to grow and develop, but the team has too many forwards that demand that ice time, while not enough on the blueline to really make this team even a playoff team. Again, I have no issues with players like Mikheyev and Kuzminko, but when you are signing additional forwards, someone need to be shipped out to get some help on D, and the Canucks brass did not do that. I worry that young players like Podz and Hoggy will just end up under-developed.
This new diversity mgmt group must have read Jim Benning's School of GM Excellence book. Acquire more bums and fringe players while giving away more draft picks. Excellent strategy Allvin, Jim2.0, Kammie, Hank, etc.

Can please have more Donnie and Dahli and less Ryan, I can't stand listening to his nauseating whining voice. I swear can't make statement without whining it.
