Making a Leatherbound Notebook

I had wanted to make a notebook for my sister as a Christmas present...that didn't happen. Thankfully birthdays exist and I decided to make a more determined attempt this time. It was all fun and games until I got to the leather. When I tell you I struggled with this one, I mean I STRUGGLED with this one. The leather was too thick, I cut through it many times trying to thin it, I did not do the corners right, and the ink smeared a bit while printing on the cover. However all those small mistakes have only made me want to try again in the future and learn to do those things better. Anyway... Happy Birthday Rosie!
There are many ways to make a thing and this is just the way I have found works for me. (In this case: It did not work for me, because I did it wrong)

Omg. This is all genius all the way. Super appreciative of how you just move along! Which is the BEST LESSON! Just DOING it is always a prize! I have made my own book press, but actually squealed when I saw your genius sewing frame! I have kitchen chairs that would serve that need and am very excited to give this a try.
