    So if I’m seeing this right, you don’t have to remove the spring to change the shocks?

    Where did you drill the hole? I didn’t quite understand what you did there.

      The nut was frozen to the top of the shock shaft so I drilled a hole in one side of the nut. I started with a 1/8” bit, then went up to make the hole bigger until the nut broke basically. Just an alternative method to lopping off the top of the shock stem to remove it. Takes a little more time but less danger of sawzall hitting the brake line.
