- The New York Rock & Soul Revue, led by Steely Dan frontman Donald Fagen, perform at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 18, 1992. The venue has since been demolished and rebuilt as a part of the Philadelphia Sports Complex. I tried my best to enhance the audio…

No hats. No hooters. No fucking fireworks. Just good music. The way it should be.
Great performance by all thanks for sharing.
I sometimes am doubtful when people say "I was there" but... I was! I was very excited to see Walter and Donald live, never thought I would. I was 32, almost half of my life ago 😮
Same here!
We were at their show in the Chicago area❤ Fabulous evening of Incredible music
What a great concert. Each of these brilliant artists were THE best and never needed balloons, fireworks or light shows to hold their audiences. It was so fine to see Phoebe Snow again, playing with the boys and holding her own as only she could. She could do anything with that voice…and did.
Another rabbit from the hat. The only thing that would be more fun is to hear Walter, Donald, Mike, Boz and Phoebe talk about those nights. Alas, that's no longer possible. (Speaking of which, am I the only one who finds it hysterical that over countless years and concerts - and no matter the circumstances - Donald always greets the audience with "What a night!!" Which, of course, says nothing about what kind of night it might happen to be.) This video gets deep in the pocket and grooves hard for the duration. Well done, Dan!! Thanks for your hard work!!
LOVE THEM EVERLASTING WINDY
I am so thrilled that this was uploaded. The Dan Vault is like a friend who pops up from time to time and blows your fucking mind!
We appreciate the compliment!
2:17:33 Michael McDonald still in his prime ("Have Mercy"). And Phoebe killing it as she can't help but do.
TREMENDOUS! another jewel from Dan's bag of tricks. Thanks Dan!
What a treat to revisit this show. Thank you.
I have waited to see this for 30 years!
ITS TIME
Brillian, thank you.
Nice to see The Hooters (Eric Bazillian and Rob Hyman) 2:17:20 were part of this show in Philadelphia. I was lucky to see Steely Dan with Michael McDonald in April 1974 at the U. of Toledo, but with no idea that they wouldn't tour again until August of 1993. We owe Donald Fagen's future wife, Libby Titus, big time for organizing this New York Rock & Soul Revue and reigniting his desire to play for a live audience. My only regret is that Fagen and McDonald didn't choose to perform my favorite vocal collaboration of their's, "Any World (That I'm Welcome To)" from 1975's "Katy Lied" album. They've shared the stage many times over the years, but have yet to perform it together.
Awesome.. thanks
1:13:31 Chuck Jackson in "Way Better Than the Hit Version" 😍
Thank you for this!
Lowdown in F#? WTF? Why? Most singers need a lower key as they age.
Steely Dan brought jazz to white weird nerds. Anyone bringing jazz to anyone is an ambassador
Didn't know Fagen had those piano chops ...
Lowdown sounds weird up a whole step. Why’d they do it?
This just reminds me how much I despise the music of today. Fagen would physically assault you if you mentioned auto tune.
