That abduction prank they pulled on bts was crazy 😭😂 I wanna talk to whoever coordinated that prank because I wanna know why they thought that was a good idea, hobi was terrified
@@pjmbaeyes it's a scripted show but they can hide some small things to make it look super real as we can see jk was about to cry, tae was so scared and hobi was literally looked terrified😭
The prank with the black dudes is in ''American Hustle Life''. That was the first time BTS went to the US. The whole point of the show was for them to learn about hip-hop/african-american culture. I almost cried when I saw that prank 😭. All ended well, but that was such a bad prank. Not only were the boys traumatized, but the whole thing only made black people look crazy💀.
That prank was from the first episode of American hustle life, and I also get uncomfortable watching it. Like do pranks really need to be borderline traumatizing? 2014 was wild 😭 The first 2 eps of that show is, in all honesty, extremely uncomfortable. Just needless disrespect on our boys. The director(or producer? Not sure abt the specifics) changed after ep 2, it was THAT bad. Assumedly the tone changed because of Suga getting tired of the disrespect and speaking up (they literally had to stop filming in the middle of ep 2 because he got so mad). But after those rough patches, the show is much more bearable and almost wholesome. Even with its flaws, it was an important part of bts’s growth as artists💜
That prank was too much! the members who didn't know looked terrified specially Hobi and Jungkook 😭 I'm like yeah some of their reactions or faces were funny but I also felt bad bc they were genuinely scared and thought they got kidnapped. Jungkook later said he thought "it's the end for me. Where are they going to sell me off to? I kept thinking I'm going to be sold somewhere." and "Pretending to be pitiful. If I cried, would they let me go. I kept nervously biting my mouth then I suddenly thought of my mom and dad" he was only 16 when that happened 😭 Now we all laugh about it but damn that was really a heavy prank
the maknae line was only 15-17 when they pranked them, Hobi literally looked so scared and I honestly still can’t get over the fact that this made Jungkook tear up..😭 If you guys wanna watch it: American Hustle Life
The "prank" was horrible. They were in a foreign country and only RM was fluent in english. JK was 15 or 16 so this definitely traumatized him, probably V too. As someone who has been almost kidnapped I can't bring myself to watch this show simply because of trauma. I don't know whose idea it was, I just know that they're messed up in the head. I get the feeling of wanting to laugh, I think that's because of Cameron and his ability to make something like this funny. It would be great if you would react to more of these dubbed vids! English is not my first language so sorry if there are any mistakes. (Also sorry that I kind of trauma dumped at the beggining. I just have a very strong opinion on this.😂) Edit: I don’t know if it did traumatise them but speaking from the experience that I had I’d say it did
Broo the kidnapping thing made me so uncomfortable even to this day, like whO thought that was a good idea? Jungkook was so scared and he was just a kid 😭
I totally agree. It pissed me off that they used black guys for this prank. Way to feed the stereotype. Kookie was crying he was so terrified. I hate watching it.
The part where they are in the white van is from their show American Hustle life, it's a variety show they did when the company sent them to LA to learn how to be hip hop artist. It's a great show and you guys should watch it.
I definitely don't think they knew beforehand. Maybe RM and SUGA understood it quickly, but there's no way Jungkook, hobi and Tae could act like that... 😢😢
Imagine thier first time in Amercia as group and then they do shit pranks like this, Jungkook were only 16 years old then he said that he thought he will mever see his family again I hate that show it's made me angry every time I watch the first episode
I knew i wasnt the only person who actually thought that was messed up. I wasnt even a fan when watching this and still wanted to cry for jk. I literally felt the same way as devonte.
21:28 you're so real for that because they were dead wrong for that. They were genuinely scared. They take things too far and the fact that they had a group of black men do this to introduce them to hip hop culture was very weird. It is so stereotypical. I think it was very tasteless.
Y’all need to react to American hustle life!! It’s a hip hop school where they went to the US but that was the worst prank tho, and noo Davontae don’t think like that. They were just scared because they thought they were gonna get kidnapped 😅😂 poor Hobi being terrified!! 😭
you guys have to realise, in this clip, jk was maybe 14? 15 probably. and the JK back then was A LOT different than the JK now. he was a shy kid that left home to be a singer. I'm 15 rn and i can't even imagine what I would do in this scenario. (even if it was a prank) love you guys and thanks for the content!
yeah guys you need to react to the prank! they all thought they were abducted, but some say SUGA saw the camera and knew it was a prank. either that or he's just cool as always
love it how u guys were worried about them, if im not mistaken jk said he was worried that he would never see his mom again, and hes was so young.. I also dont like this prank, honestly, some of them were too young for that shit
No, I agree. That American Hustle Life episode is a hard pill to swallow. The guys arrived in a different country where they knew no one, only for this "prank" to happen. I didn't find it funny at all. Whoever came up with this prank idea should be fired from any future plans. JK was only 15 years old, I think, which would make V and Jimin only 17. That was just horrible, and I hate that episode. I swear, we have a bunch of idiots in the prank idea department. Jhope looked like he was about to cry and faint at the same time. It was just horrible to watch.
Saw 1 clip of the first ep of American hustle life when i first got into BTS and i couldn't watch the 1st episode for a good 6 months. It took a lot. It was an awful prank to make for their first time there, but they wouldn't be who they are as peple today without all they have experienced i guess, though they couldve been nicer about it, couldve given them some serious PTSD😕🤷♀️
i love your videos, one of my favourite reactors cause you guys are funny ash😭 please react to american hustle life, it is definitely one of the important things to watch as an army as it gives some background of how it was back then. Keep it going❤️
That abduction prank was planned, they actually became good friends afterwards. Those guys were teaching them how hiphop was in LA. The abduction part wasn't real though, just a prank. And more than likely it was planned by the company.
omfg have yall done a reactin to Namjoons iconic "Expensive Girl", you also gotta tune in to his and Jin's "Trouble" song, they're both hilariously great
Y'all gotta react to the full James Corden dubbed one it's also from Cameron. I especially love Yoongi's little speech there, you'll see once you've watched it ;) for some reason, I just get hyped up whenever someone post's a bts dub reaction, especially if it's from y'all 😂
American Hustle Life is interesting but a little weird sometimes. Definitely worth watching bcs it shows how much they've learned. The "kidnapping prank" is definitely bad taste and not funny at all. Think I read somewhere that it was due to a collaboration with a broadcasting company who thought it would be "funny and dramatic", and not a decision from BigHit...
"If BTS was dubbed" is so hilarious to me 🤣 Please react to more ! About the last part, it's from the American Hustle Life show they did when they had just debuted. To be honest, it's in the past now and I guess we could laugh about it... But it was some cringe experience and this particular beginning was poorly executed. First, like you said, asking tall, bulky black males to play the dangerous guys who kidnap them was almost racist in my opinion. For most of the members it was their first time in America and THAT is what they were exposed to on their first night. Talk about building unfounded fear of different races... On top of that, they were very young at that time (Jungkook was 16 for God's sake). It might have been played out like a game but the members were terrified, you could definitely see it. Jungkook was holding back tears so hard, Jimin looked 2 seconds away from fighting, J-Hope was petrified... They were kids and even tho it was just acting for the men, the members didn't seem to get it and that is NOT how you treat kids. Of course it was edited at some points so we don't really know what could have happened. Maybe they did freak out at some point or maybe they were explained more context. But most of these scenes were legit reactions from the members and from their point of view they were just a bunch of terrified kids (from 16 to 21) in a foreign country, confronted to imposing men who acted aggressive and that never set right in my mind. It would maybe have been funnier if these were grown men but I insist : they were KIDS...
They were, in fact, actually terrified 🙃 but who wouldn't 😭 Also, I'm wondering...there's like a cut...Suga Is next to Jungkook in the beginning but then he's next to Namjoon (Jimin is then the one next to JK) when they have to take one sock off, does anybody know what happened that they changed seats?
How have yall not seen American Hustle Life yet?? It's a TV show where BTS go to America to learn true hip hop. It's cringe at times but it's a time that really had an impact on BTS as a group. Definitely check it out. FYI, copyright isn't kind when you watch this show.
everytime I think about that prank I get mad 😭 American hustle life has good moments but the first 2 episodes were trash. This prank the biggest reason bc this is not a way to “prank” anyone. You brought them to another country to have them “kidnapped” and yelled at in a language they didn’t speak….it’s weird. American Hustle Life had me ready to fight mfkrs with that prank.
It was the company and the ceo of Hybe who played the prank on them. If you search up pranks on BTS or BTS pranks on youtube you’ll find the video.
That’s American hustle life I just cry whenever I see Jungkookie he was a kid 🥺🥺
Jimin, V and JK were teenagers, I still felt bad for everyone, especially for V that boy is so innocent, he has a very pure heart

Tho i felt bad for them there faces 😂😅

I defenitely agree. Jungkook was so young too :(

Jimin studied multiple forms of martial arts for over 8 years. Suga also knows martial arts
